Attending a top 5 school gives you a much higher starting point and opens up more opportunities. If you are able to find coops during summers and have above average grades, you shouldn't have much difficulty in getting a decent job after graduation. Then $80k in debt is okay to take. I graduated from Engineering Science, UofT, one of top engineering programs in Canada. Very few of my classmates couldn't find a job within half year after graduation. Trade schools are pretty good too. Licensed contractors can be their own bosses and make very decent money everywhere. Sales/marketing is not for everybody. At least not for me. I don't like dealing with customers in general.

Learn some music instruments or painting. Guitar should be easy to pick up. Or do some self-study using online resources like Coursera.

This is why I'll never understand the appeal of touch screens. This right here. I'm fine with touch screens for phones and tablets and stuff, but touch screen computers seem like an awful idea. Exactly what was wrong with a mouse? A mouse cannot do multi-touch? Touch screen computers could be useful if more computer programs have the multitouch support like apps on phones and tablets.

I'd take that as he desperately wanted you to work for Radio Shack. Today I ordered a Nexus 5. I never bought any electronic devices on the first day they released. But I really need a new phone.

Got very annoyed that all national parks are closed in the States! Planned a road trip from SF to LV next week. Now I have to come up a plan B...not to include Yosemite, Death Valley, Zion, Grand Canyon.

They always try to overwhelm freshmen with a lot of assignments and lectures. Just hang in there and you will be fine.

My boss and coworkers are my fb friends. So I have to be pickier. That's just me though.
