strnoob6431
Str noob6431ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s 1st guide in drop leathering NOTE: please POST a REPLY as you view I work hard for it heres the link to the video( ) REQUIRMENTS: Ability to kill a cow Ability to go to the crafters guild(crafting lvl 40) Your inventory must look like this one below. and you must wear this one. the important one is a rune weapon and a brown apron STEP 1: Kill a cow Cb lvl 2 6 and 8 hp this is the easiest step lol even a lvl 3 could kill a cow. STEP 2: Collect the hides you get from killing a cow. collect the hides because this is the most important item you will ever need. You should get full inventory of cow hides before you go to the 3rd step. STEP 3: Go inside the crafters guild And climb up the stair case were the tanning machine is. STEP 4: Let mr tanner tan your cow hides I prefer to make em hard leather as at this point you can make hard leather bodies. STEP 5: Make your hard leather or soft leathers into hard leather bodies. STEP 6: Drop them then do the step over again BTW if you ask me why im not in the crafts guild I got hit by a sandwich lady lol

ikraz66
very good guide! actually i used this method most of the way from lvl 50-60 crafting and it really works! Its cheaper than buying hides. i just might want to add that its faster when you find a world with pures killing cows for exp. I just pick up their hides. or you could hire them to pick up their own hides and give them to you which saves even more time! Also, some people say that making bowls in the guild is better exp than cowhides, but i tried it and it was actually slower than cowhides! Proud owner of a Quest cape! Zaaps1
I dont know about you, but I would go in with around 100gp, then id sell my hardleather to rimmington general store for a little profit and money to pay for more hides, and it takes just a wee-bit more time than dropping and is better for your hand. ( dropping a lot of stuff hurts in case youd didnt get it ). Plus theres a crafting stone in rimmington where you can buy for needles and thread. Just what I think, but nice guide ~It's Super Effective! I used cowhides that i bought from lvl 60-70 crafting. That was the last major thing i did before becomming a member Proud owner of a Quest cape! DeVastator101
7/10, I think it was quite good, but not particularly useful for me, as I do all my leveling for crafting inside the guild, never going out, even to the cow pen... Utterly annoyed... Forever...
Lord_Gromit
You might want to add a pros/cons section. Because this way is cheaper, but much slower than buying hides.

linkinmage19
BRILLIANT! I'm level 66 craft right now so i do this for a few levels. Although it is really nice to think i can get to 99 craft for less than 400k it is a slower method.
dutchstyle
Not really usefull for me but it's good and pretty detailed with pics etc. I'll rate 6/10 because it's slow exp and already welknown (at least to me) #4500 to 91 rc - 03-03-
Salad
Nice but you could also go to rimmy and sell your stuff to store to get little cash.
anim7
Lets calculate the xp per hour here. Kill 25 cows. That takes about 2 minutes. You collect the hides within the 2 minutes. (120s) Go to the tanner and tan hides .30-45 seconds Craft those leather into bodies. 45 seconds. Drop the leather. 40 seconds average. That is 245 seconds for 875 crafting xp. 4 minutes for 875 xp. 13k xp per hour theoretically. But realistically we are talking about 10-11k xp per hour. Good guide though. Heres an alternative. Buy cowhides for 100ea at world 1,3,4,5,7,8,9 al kharid. Get like 10000 hides for 1million gp. Tan all those hides. I can tan 2000 hides per hour on average. In six hours you tan the 10000 hides into hard leather. I am being very conservative here. Sell 5000 hard leather for 250ea or 1.25million. You can try hard to sell 300ea but 250ea is good price. At 200ea you will defenitely find a buyer. You make a profit of 250k and you get 175k crafting xp. Even at 200ea that is still breaking even. Lets see the xp/hour. 6 hours for the tanning plus 4 hours for the crafting plus an hour to get the 10000 hides. that is 11 hours of work. That is 15k xp per hour. On a very conservative calculation. It can actually make you profit also. 100% F2P85 Mining achieved on Dec 4, 200785 Smithing achieved on May 28, 2009
