From a programmers standpoint I don't think this is possible having it only on a few servers, unless jagex made it a seperate game on new servers. (like classic and rs2 used to be)

I think victor read something somewhere and misunderstood it. What he is talking about, is that some (being all the level 3 autoers using a chinese macro) macros, work by sending and recieving packets to and from the server. Normally when you click a rock, something along the lines of this happens. You click the rock, your click sends a message to the client "I want to mine this rock." The client your playing on then forwards the packet to the server, along with other information. The client checks that there is an ore at that location of that type, and that its not mined, and then checks if you have a pick and mining level to mine it. If everything is all in order, (The server checking this is the reason stat editors, cheats etc are impossible) Then the server changes the rock to 'being mined', sends a packet to the client telling it your mining it and your client changes your character to 'mining position' Etc etc. As you can see, the game works by sending and recieving packets between the client and the server. A client edited macro, reads a script so it knows what packets to send, and sends them without the player having to click the rock. So it forces the client to send the "I want to mine this rock" packet, the rest goes on from there. When a random occurs, the hacked client recieves a packet telling it that its getting a random and what type. So it can get past it flawlessly. The server has to send this packet, because if it didn't then you wouldn't be able to recieve the random. This is where traps come in, (Offtopic, but it has got something to do with my post) including useless stuff added in the client to trip up macros such as items called '9mm revolver' and 'double helix.' Tomdavies, even for colour clickers, an OCR would easily bypass your idea. Just make an OCR read a, b and c, and click the one which is found in a dictionary. (The same could be done with anything writtin in syntax) byron_Thor your idea wouldn't work either, as ive explained above, and colour clickers could do it, if not by colour, than bitmaps.

They have a reflection system, so as soon as someone logs into a modified client then the account is flagged, and then I think banned in a random amount of days. (So the cheater doesn't know what triggered it.)

Its not hard to make an autotyper make random spelling mistakes, pressing keys next to the correct one.

Why would they be able to do that?

The only way they can tell if someone is auto typing is if they flag the account, and the logs that get recorded show that they say the same thing over and over, with the exact same interval. (this is for badly made autotypers with no randomised intervals/mistakes) Or if they have the typer set to something really obvious like 1 time a second.

It is allowed, although not approved of. If you use one and set the interval to a reasonable amount then its fine, but you spam rediculously then you will get punished.

Google C Cleaner. (use your imagine to figure out what the C stands for) Its a really good program which cleans junk from your computer, I think search engine autocompletes are included.

This probably will come across as harsh, but I have had plenty of experience with stuff like this. Quite a few of my friends have been through this and its always the same. I didn't read through most of the posts because they seem to be the same thing over and over: either give him comfort/talk to someone or he is doing it for attention. Though I agree with Tigra, I really doubt he will actually do it, the most he will do are a couple half hearted attempts which are guarenteed not to work. I would ignore the cuts, don't even let him know you know about them. Unless they are obviously deep enough to near kill him then don't worry about them, because chances are theres nothing you can do to make him stop anyway. Don't try to 'comfort him' Im not saying don't be a good friend, be there for him but don't give him attention ('don't do it' etc) but theres so much rubbish a good friend can put up with. If you give him the attention he wants, then he will do it more. Because it works. He just needs time to get over his little 'phase' It might take a few months, it might take a year. But eventually I can guarentee that he will look back and think to himself: "What the hell was I doing?" Also, although I do not know your friend, from what you have mentioned, and from past experiences, it sounds like he will make up stuff to make you feel sorry for him, to the point in that he almost believes it himself. If you catch him at a lie then point it out, if you think he might be lying but don't know for sure then its probably best just to go along with it; if you tell him you think he is making stuff up then thats another excuse for him to feel sorry for himself.

It will give you the ip of http://www.runescape.com. If you want a world then instead of runescape.com then type in something along the lines of http://au2.runescape.com

Run nslookup and type in http://www.runescape.com. You can do it incommand prompt too, (if you don't have it, make a notepad file, type in command.com and save it as a batch file.) and type in ping http://www.runescape.com.

By editing the client. Anything is possible, we can do basically what ever we want with the client, we just can't fool the server.

It doesn't remove the fog of war, that screen shot was taken before the new game engine and the fog of war. Heres a picture from classic showing zoom with fog of war. You can move the screen around anywhere inside the area too. (This picture isn't edited.)

Lol yakman, you shouldn't get banned. i have admitted to autoing on this site too, for the same reasons you do: fun of beating the system. Just as long as you don't promote cheating, and offer macros/cheating community urls then you should be fine. Ive already explained about the chinese deob bots and duping etc. I wrote a long history of rs cheating post but It got deleted as this thread gets cleaned every now and then.

^^^ Thats true, they do try to shut down the legit cheating communities. (honest and scam free) Yet they don't even bother with the scamming sites. I think jagex wants at least some scam sites, to put people off going to cheating sites.

Don't think of f2p as the 'demo' F2p is still a full game. Membership is just the expansion.

This wouldn't work. With deob bots, they read the packets sent from the server and know what the question is. Colour clickers could do it to. EG: look for the word colour, when the random occurs and it see's colour, (if the question is in syntax or changes colour, than an OCR could be used) the mouse then goes to where the picture is, notes the colour and clicks the right answer.

Or maybe some f2pers just don't want to waste $5 a month on runescape because its not worth paying for?

Im 16 and run 10.9 - 100m but I can't get any quicker so im going to 400m, which in turn will make me fitter and better at 200m. 22.3 - 200m 53 something - 400m, Im hoping to get it down to 52 by third term next year. Heaps of training to do.

Im a short distance sprinter, and im buying a new pair of [bleep]es, im just not sure what I should get. (preferably nike as i live near a big nike outlet store) Im 75kg, 6 ft 4, and I have wide feet. I was looking at the nike zoom superfly g5's, as it has the ridgid plate im looking for, though it might be a little to ridgid for when I run 400's as I often don't run on my toes during the back straight and it could wreck it. Plus I am a little concerned about running turns with it being so rigid. If anyone has had these some feedback would be appreciated. Someone on another forum recomended me powercats, but they dont look that good. Does anyone here sprint? - I mean seriously, people that know their stuff. If so your opinions are most welcome.
