  1. It's really all about environment and cultural differences which cause the division, not the genetic makeup of each race.
  2. Whoa, whoa, whoa, I'm hoping I heard you wrong, or am misunderstanding something. I don't get the misunderstanding? Generally, say if an african american, hispanic, asian american, and caucasian apply to a college (American), all receiving a 1300 on the SAT the scores would be interpreted under the lines of-- Asian = 1250 African American = 1530 Hispanic = 1485 White = 1300 When in reality they each really scored a 1300. It especially isn't good for asian americans cause you're really going against your own race because a lot of colleges have quotas on the amount of each there should be admitted to a school. So if you are not apart of the "smart" asian group, you're at a huge disadvantage.
  3. What a lot of people don't understand is that AA doesn't support all minorities. While hispanics, native americans, and african americans' test scores are increased as a result of AA, asian americans are pretty much screwed over. UC schools like Berkley and UCLA don't use AA, so a majority of the students are actually asian american rather than white.
  4. That's a crap load of prayer pots man, you're getting some awesome drops, we should do a trip or two together 8-)

I finished AP Chem this year, and we learned about this stuff. When it comes to 2 gases of different mass, the one with a lower molar mass will be faster than that with a higher one. This presents the equation-- r1/r2=square root of(M2/M1) with.. r1 = root-mean-square speed of the first gas r2 = root-mean-square speed of the second gas M1 = molar mass of the first gas M2 = molar mass of the second gas To show some proof using the equation, let's be given this. There are two gases, one is hydrogen (H2 since hydrogen is a diatomic atom) and the other is an unknown of unknown mass. The speed of the H2 is 4 while the other unknown gas is 2. So let's plug everything into the equation-- 2/4=square root of(2.02/x) we square both sides to get rid of the route so we're given 4/16=2.02/x cross multiply and we get 4x = 32.32 divide both sides by 4 8.08 grams So, the gas with the slower speed of 2m/s or whatever has a mass of 8.08 grams, which is higher than the hydrogen (molar mass of 2.02g) which has a speed of 4m/s. Hope that helps, Im a little rusty since I am already forgetting everything i learned haha, might want to double check on that.
  6. Aww it doesn't work for me, just says "ready" on the player >.
  7. Where I am, they're actually pretty important, in larger schools extracurricular activities account for about 1/4 (give or take) of what the admissions take into consideration (with SATs and GPA as the other 3/4), while smaller schools are more rounded with each. Although, according to PrincetonReview, UIowa, unlike many other Universities doesn't consider extracurriculars, volunteer work, or work experience. So you shouldn't have to worry so much about it. Although if I were you, I would still take part in some activities such as clubs (that you're interested in of course) and then once you're in your junior/senior year, get into some honor societies, they'll help you build yourself as a person and would be good in case you want to apply to other colleges which do consider extracurriculars.
  8. Fair enough
  9. Really, I haven't posted on this forum in a VERY long time, and I felt like starting on a clean slate, thus the making of this account (I do have another account which I used for the sake of reading, but right now I am at a place where I have nothing to do so I decided to start posting). (I dunno what an AE is, so can you explain it?) And for the sake of the other people on the thread (or just reading it), it would be good to explain the articles so we know how it contributes to your point.
  10. As expected, a witty yet inept response ;). You've been arguing about honor killing being something about Islam, and to support your point you randomly picked out wikipedia artcles which, actually, go against your argument. Just admit you messed up, don't be so thick, that way people will respect you and your opinions. As for myself, I've been reading the these forums for a while and never bothered to post, so I finally made an account to do so. Honestly, I could care less if you beat me in an argument cause frankly, they're mostly a matter of opinion and really; you have to just respect the other's simply since no two minds were made alike. Have a nice day :)
  11. Redskinsssssss With an already awesome defense, the new additions (Randall El, Brandon Lloyd, etc) will make the offense hard to stop. Im hoping for an awesome run by the skins, they're a whole new team and better than ever.
  12. A little confused, did you even read the link you just posted? Kinda killing your own argument don't you think?
