Punk!
to pyromancer: Thanks for moving the topic :D Oops, i forgot to mention The Ramones, but i don't like them that much anyways :) Sex Pistols are supposed to be stereotypical. They are just awesomely crazy :D to bouwzie: The newest Offspring album is a bit less punkish but i think it is WAAAY(i realy mean WAAAAAY) better than Splinter. You're Gonna Go Far Kid and Fix You are my favourite from Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace album :)

Punk!
Since there are many topics about different styles of music, i searched around for punk. I could only find one "recommend me" thread, so(after a bit of thinking) i decided to create this topic. Punk in short(very short. read Wikipedia to find out more): Punk developed in mid 1970s in UK and USA to contradict the government and to show the people that they don't agree what is happening in their country. Simple 3-chord, fast music with often anti-political(and short) lyrics + punk fashion was a hit and a shock. Punkers helped to change things that were wrong or at least they tried to. Often used word used by them was Anarchy. They demanded a state in the country of no government as they believed that the people themselves can live better without "leaders". After a few years, the prime punk has practically vanished as there was no more need for it - the main purpose of it was(mostly) achieved. But the soul of punk did not die. New sub-genres started to appear, like Oi! and Harcore, which were more agressive. Today we can say that punk is definitely not dead, it has just changed its appearance and sound a bit, but we still like it :) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In general, punk(rock) is my favourite music genre and i've been listening to it since i was in primary school. One day a friend gave me a tape to listen to, which i did and after a few times i really started to like it. When i met that friend again he told me that the band was The Offspring(Americana). I asked him to record me the tape and he did. He actually gave me another tape with Green Day(Dookie) which i thought was even better :) In later years i found about some other bands, the most of them after i got access to the internet. I never really liked the "old-style" punk, until i really listened to Sex Pistols and found out they are not that bad. Still, the new age punkrock is what i prefer. Hardcore is also something i never really listened to, some of The Exploited and maybe a few songs of unknown artists to me. The bands i like:Green Day, Blink 182, The Offspring, Yellowcard, Zablujena Generacija, Perkele, Niet, Sum 41, +44, Angels And Airwaves, Sex Pistols, The Clash, Fall Out Boy, My Chemical Romance, Good Charlotte, Flogging Molly, Billy Idol, The Used, Die Toten Hosen... There are more, but i can't remember any at the moment :) [hide=Don't say that some of those bands are not punk]Every one of them has at least a bit of punk in their music. Fall Out Boy, Good Charlotte, and such are pop-punk Angels And Airwaves produce ballads, but they have punk in them :P My Chemical Romance is almost emo, but i think not completely The Used - a lot of emo, but some of the songs are great :) Billy Idol - a legend of pop-punk! Flogging Molly - irish folk music + punkrock = awesome combination Yellowcard - i love the violin + in general they have very likable songs Zablujena Generacija - a Slovenian punkrock band, not bad at all :) Niet - older slovenian punk band with some legendary songs Perkele - swedish punkrock band :) Die Toten Hosen - german punkrock band ;)[/hide] my best punk rock...: band: Blink 182, although Green Day and The Offspring aren't far behind album: Green Day - Dookie song: Yellowcard - Ocean Avenue person: Sid Vicious, the "bassist" of Sex Pistols(died in 1979 from heroin overdose...); he was the icon, the attitude of punk [hide=songs that i recommend listening to] Sid Vicious - My Way Green Day - Burnout [/hide] So, what is your oppinion on punk as music(or subculture), why do you like/don't like it, what are your favourite songs, bands...?

If this applies to you, answer!
according to your classification, i'm not a noob :D OT: i miss the days of innocence and less techology. we used to be out with friends/neigbours all day long, spent time in the nature, doing sports etc. The new generations spend waaay too much time inside/on computer playing games.. Not that i'm much different than that now, but in the early youth, people should spend more time outside at least to learn some social skills..

In-Crowd or Out-Crowd?
Fortunately we didn't/don't have any "ins" or "outs", just smaller groups of good friends who usually hang out. I mostly get along with everyone, but usually i hang out with a couple of friends and that's it. The reason could also be that i don't go to classes very often :D

A new name
Wait a year or two and the idea will go away :P <- like getting a tatoo/weird-place-piercing (i also think Hiroki is a perfectly fine name) If you are really going to change it, don't make it western. Try scandinavian/slavic names :)

What do to on the internet?
Oh, there are also some popular sites where you can waste your time, like Facebook, Myspace, Twitter... Talk to old friends, meet new ones,... You could also write a blog, not necessarily a RuneScape blog, the real life one. Reading them is also fun, if you find a decent one to read :) A great story-teller and a blog-writer here was LEESTERS. <- read his blog, it's awesomely written, but don't post as he doesn't play anymore :(

What Should I Do?
Do all the work yourself and let him copy it. or Try to help him as much as you can, maybe then he will get it. if that doesn't work Talk to the teacher about it and try to figure out a solution that's good for all.

What interesting words do you use in everyday conversation?
I swear a lot too and apparently i don't even realise it. When something upsets me, you can only hear swear words for a while... Mostly in slovenian, some serbo-croatian and a few from english(only f*** and s*** i can think of). I like to say the word "govno", which would mean dung/animal crap :)

What are you listening to right now!?
:) I was editing the previous post :P If anyone wants to listen and read some lyrics: A beautiful and sad song: [hide=Marijan Smode - Mrtva Reka][yt]H0ZN8wiXwPk[/yt] Starec je govoril mi da bila si lepa ti kakor rosa jutranja polna si ivljenja bla! zdaj pa gledam reka te ko vali pocasi se zdaj osamljena si vsa polna mrtvega blaga! Mrtva reka kam hiti mrtva reka kam bei kje zelenje vso je zdaj kje so ribe tvoj sijaj Mrtva reka kam gre zdaj? Mrtva reka kam hiti mrtva reka kam bei kje zelenje vso je zdaj kje so ribe tvoj sijaj Mrtva reka kam gre zdaj? Pot po poti tuji kraj!! a morda nekoc pa le cista reka vrne se. a morda nekoc pa le cista reka vrne se.[/hide] my attempt to translate it(just the concept): [hide=The dead river]The old man told me that you were so beautiful like the morning dew full of life you were. And now, river, i look at you rolling slowly lonely you are now full of dead material. Dead river why the hurry? Dead river why the rush? What's with the plants, where are they now? Where are the fish, your magnificence? Dead river, where to now? Road by road foreign place. But maybe someday a pure river will return. And now, river, i look at you rolling slowly, lonely you are now, full of dead material. Where the life has gone? like it would melt at peaceful you they looked, but nobody helped. Dead river why the hurry? Dead river why the rush? What's with the plants, where are they now? Where are the fish, your magnificence? Dead river, where to now? Road by road foreign place. But maybe someday a pure river will return.[/hide]

worst pain ever inflicted on you
Despite my clumsiness i haven't had any serious injuries so far :P - seaside, 13 years old; i ran from the beach to the appartment(which was just about 100m away) to get something and i remembered i forgot the keys. While still runing i turned mid-air and fell. I bleeded from my leg pretty much and it hurt quite a lot, but there wasn't any serious harm. Sea water heals everything. - seaside, about 16 years old; me, my brother and a few friends we met there went to the town nearby to party a little. First we sat down on the beach a bit away from the crowds and drank some wine, black vodka... After a while(and a bottle down for me) a bunch of youngsters from 13-17 years old started to gather near us and soon they got nearer and stole our drinks, teased us.. in general, they were very annoying, so we stood up and started walking away. I was the last and the most drunk. I made maybe 5m when someone hit me from behind, i turned around and then it started falling on me. I managed to run away but soon i fell and torn my pants with some unpleasant scratches(i pulled out the last little piece of stone/sand after a couple of days) which i didn't even feel(until we got to the bar, where i actually found out that my pants are all torn up and that my right leg is totally red of blood..), then the chasers managed to get to me and started kicking me. I was fortunate that they weren't very strong and i was able to push two of them away, stand up and run like hell... Good old days :3

What's wrong with Norway? :o [hide=once red, always red][/hide] Not in the best mood at the moment as the girl i was arranged to go "out" with, cancelled everything -.- That, combined with boredom makes me thinking the red way. I'm used to be a "sworn communist", now i don't bother too much about it, but i still like the original idea(not what stalin did, i'm more of a marxist/leninist).

Pokemon Thread
I love pokemon! Don't play them anymore tho :( Many years ago i got a Gameboy + Pokemon red version for my birthday and i was hooked :D Got through it many times, my best achievement was training 6+ Pokemon to level 100 without that Missingno. "glitch". Then my brother accidentally deleted my progress and i had to start over. Then i discovered Missingno. and the game became much more boring :) Then i bought Pokemon gold(could only get the german version at that time...), completed it and got bored of it :) For a while i played the games on the computer(Roms), i "hacked" them a bit, made a slovenian website about that and got bored again. I tried a few of the newer games but none of them could top those first ones and i quit them after a day or two of playing. Yeah, those were good times and i remember them with happiness :) Pokemon forever!

Ode to another country
I love my country, although i wish we would still be a part of Yugoslavia. Too bad that the idea of unifying all the southern Slavs couldn't be realised :( I am fine where i am, but i wouldn't mind living in Sweden or Ireland. I like pretty much everything about them :3 Awesome irish culture, nice swedish language, the nature,... :3
