In my opinion on the subject, abyss pking is perfectly fine. When a pker attacks someone in the wild, they obtain a skul, not unlike the one presented to a runecrafter when the eager skiller travels into the abyss, correct? When a pker runs out of prayer and has no prayer pots, a pker is in the wild with a skull, and no prayer, yet they somehow magically survive, escape, even kill more people. A skull and 0 prayer do not a dead man walking make. It is not the end of the world and certainly no excuse not to have armour and a weapon. Afterall, the wilderness is an area of player versus player combat, and as such one who enters must prepare for such an area, skilling, pking, or not. In my opinion the line, the large gap which is player and game created, between skiller and pker is drawn far to wide, and far too long. It would be a better wild, a more alive wild, if Pking and skilling were one -- an afterthought of eachother and second nature to all who would enter. Imagine that fact. People going in with torags and a whip, a few sharks and such, and Mining rune, whilst pking Rune pkers and other miners who may be competition. Or, Rcers who would bring a whip, black dhide, darts, and the like to combat mages and meleers, sacrificing the most minute amount of runes made to kill and protect themselves (With prayer given from POH temples, which they SHOULD be using). Or, perhaps, Taking your harpoon, axe , and tinderbox and fishing sharks for pking food IN the wild -- which so far is so difficult to do I'd assume Jagex rather you not do it at all! Now, as not to drag on with my own conversation, i will adress the points you have made in the first post. I hope I get this Code right.. Rcers are not defenseless skillers. Rcers have just as much oppurtunity to take offense and defense as any pkers has. As such, it cannot be blamed on the pker for the skillers weakness, rather the rcer is fully responsible for his or her irresponsible choice in entering a combat area -- with implied and accepted risk -- without first preparing for the dangers ahead (and to have the AUDACITY to complain afterwards is soemthing I do not understand.) No skill can be as profitable at level 44 as Rcing, to my knowledge, and they DO have an alternate choice. They have to accept responsibility for their own actions. As I said before, the line between pker and skiller should not exist in the form it does today. Anyone should be able to attack (and anticipate an attack) from anyone else in the level range. Challenge is provided by both parties of a fight -- not just one. The rcer in most situations provides no challenge to the pker with his own decision. He was not forced to, not coerced to. He or she made that choice himself or herself and therefore should not be given aid just because he or she is not hard to kill. You have no courage if you choose to be defenseless by choice, and no hnour to complain of your own irresponsible decision afterwards. Thank you for reading my opinions.
