  1. It's not a waste if it's being used. Id rather have something that is going to help me get something done than 5m sitting in my bank.
  2. Flipping is old. I did it with nats back in rsc and dmeds at the end of rsc/beginning of rs2.
  3. Or if you're sweet like me, the 99 summon makes your food heal more hitpoints :)

I think it's too early to pass judgment on it. There was a time when people were saying the same thing about runecrafting. As a matter of fact, I remember when people held having 1 rc as a badge of honor. Why don't we give them a few weeks to work out the kinks before we start acting like kids, eh?
  5. I'm guessing you never noticed this little gem in the tip.it treasure trail guide. http://www.tip.it/runescape/html/rune_tips_treasure_locator.htm
  6. Anyone else think so? I don't think I died one time from like 1-50, then after the rc update I rarely am able to solo with 99 summon, prayer, max combat stats and food.
  7. I believe that you will get a prestige of 7 but for that floor only. If you did floor 1, 2, 7 then reset however, you would only have a prestige of 3 instead of 6. That's why it's best to do every floor that you can before a reset. Your previous progress (or current progress if its higher), is what determines the prestige bonus you get per floor. I did floor 1-6 and reset so my highest progress is 6 atm so what you're saying is my prestige will still be 6 instead of 7 at lower floors even after I complete floor 7? If you completed 7 and all of the floors before 7, then your prestige will be 7 after you reset. If you complete 1, 2, 3, 7 then reset, you would lose your bonus of 6 for a bonus of 4.
  8. You're very welcome Ninae. I thought it was better understood until I read a few posts on the topics here. I'm glad to be of service.

  10. They're supposed to get harder, but I think there is a scale of difficulty that each floor can be on. I've definitely had hard floor 1's and really easy floor 10s or 20s. Logging out and leaving party don't do anything except stop your progress in whatever dungeon you left, unless you completed it and left afterwards. Resetting the ring is the only way to get prestige bonus again on floors you've completed.
  11. You're getting it. You still have to do floor 4 and 5. If you skipped to 6 your current prestige will only be 4 because you only completed 4 floors. But cant you just do 5 (after resetting) and lvl up to 6 from it, then do 6 then go back to 4,3,2,1 till you can do floor 7? since current prestige doesn't have an effect until you reset it again? If you did floor 7 without completing one of the previous floors, you wouldn't have 7 prestige. Your prestige levels are based on how many floors you have completed since the last reset. If you're asking whether or not you can: Reset with 5 prestige, do floor 5, do floor 6, 4, 3 (level up to 7), then reset with 7 prestige, it doesn't work that way. If you want 7 prestige, you have to complete 7 unique floors, meaning you would have to complete floors 1 and 2 as well.
  12. It doesn't stay at 0 until you reset. You will just get prestige based on the number of floors cleared.
  13. Yep, that's it. The most important part of it all is to make sure your current progress is larger than your previous progress before you touch that reset button.
  14. You're getting it. You still have to do floor 4 and 5. If you skipped to 6 your current prestige will only be 4 because you only completed 4 floors.
  15. I'm sorry, I don't understand your question. If you mean just running floor 1, resetting and running it again, that would be terrible xp. A prestige level of 1 only makes your prestige bonus ~100. This is an example of me running floor 1 after resetting at 25 prestige.
  16. Once you get to level 10, if that is your highest floor, reset. Your prestige will be 10. When you go back and do floors 1-10 again, you will get a 10 prestige bonus for each floor (1-10). I can give an example, but remember these xp are just rough predictions: Base xp for beating floor 1 - 50 Prestige 10 bonus - 1000 Average of both - 525 Base xp for beating floor 2 - 100 Prestige 10 bonus - 1000 Average of both - 550 .... Base xp for beating floor 9 - 600 Prestige 10 bonus - 1000 Average of both - 800 Understand? Yup, by reset you mean leave? You have to leave, then open your ring interface and hit the "reset" button at the bottom. Just make sure you have completed every floor that you can, and your current level (also on the ring interface) is larger than your previous level.
  17. At some point this no longer becomes plausible. That one extra prestige level spread over the course of 20 floors would only churn out roughly 2-4k extra xp. If you have farther than that to go to achieve your next even level, I wouldn't bother wasting time getting -50% by repeating a floor over and over. I will say that I have done this one time, because I was at floor 19 and needed 50 xp to unlock floor 20. I just took the -50% for a single floor to gain that extra prestige level. How dare they add depth to a skill!

  19. That would be crap if they did, because that would include me if I had been playing at the time, because I regularly sell everything at the end of a dungeon and load up on ess. You have to click ok for every level. Anyone who gained more than 1 level knew what was happening.
  20. If you were to do floors 10-17 and reset, your prestige will reset to 8. You would have to go back and complete floors 1-9 as well to keep your bonus of 17. I will add this up top.
  21. Give me a paypal account and I'll send you the 16 cents you payed for today, even though the games only been down for 2 of the 24 hours. Whiny [bleep].
  22. I've noticed that a few people don't understand the deal behind resetting prestige, or quite understand how it all works. The first time you complete a floor, you get a prestige bonus. This is important because your base xp is based on the average of the xp you get for the floor and your prestige bonus. The idea behind prestige is that you will do each floor that you can one time, then reset your ring and start over again from floor one. For example, say you are level 34 dungeoneering. You have full access to floor 17. After completion of floor 17 (and all consecutive floors) you will have a prestige level of 17. Now, you could run floor 17 again and again and again until you open up the next floor, but there is a very large xp penalty because of this. Because your total xp gained is an average, you are averaging one number with 0, which means you get a -50% penalty to all xp if you aren't gaining any prestige bonus. This is where the reset button comes into play. If you have a prestige level of 17 and you reset your ring, you still have a prestige of 17. However, you can now start at floor 1 again and get a prestige bonus of 17 for all floors up to 17. This is huge. When you did floor 1 the first time, you maybe got 100 xp for it. Now you are averaging 50 (baseish xp for floor 1) and roughly 1500-1700 (roughly the prestige bonus for 17), bringing your xp for floor 1 up to 700-800. There is one warning, however. You MUST NOT reset your ring if your current progress (on the ring interface) is lower than the previous progress. If you reset while your current level is lower, you reset your prestige to that lower level. So if you have your prestige of 17, run floor 1 and then reset your ring thinking you can run the easiest floor over and over, you will end up resetting your prestige back to 1. I hope this explained it well enough for people to understand. TL:DR - Run every floor you can a single time, reset your ring and start over at floor 1, waiting to reset again until you've completed every floor that you can. This is a good example of how resetting prestige helps. This is my xp gain for floor 1. FAQ If you were to do floors 10-17 and reset, your prestige will reset to 8. You would have to go back and complete floors 1-9 as well to keep your bonus of 17. At some point this no longer becomes plausible. 23. It was possible to get 99 rc in less than 10 minutes. Sorry, that needs a rollback.
  24. I did ~200k xp before I realized it :-/ Just crafted the starting ess I got into bloods to sell. Glad they're rolling back though.
  25. I hope they ban the people who did it because they could. It's obvious who the rule breakers would be, get rid of them now.
