  1. It would be news if they got a piece of female retro armor right.
  2. ...Then I, uh, would still like the other 9.9m to cover... Let's call it "emotional damage" or something.

I recall reading that all of them until the WiiU were profitable, though, even if the sales lagged behind other consoles.
  4. So I'm checking the new adventurer's log and... ...I got 100k that day. If it was supposed to be 10m, I'd like the rest of it.
  5. Okay, yeah, that should be the case.
  6. ...A lot of reasons? - The game's progression is not some straight line where everything exists in a vacuum and everyone takes the same steps toward the same end. - What would honestly be the point of having to convert a T90 1h weapon into a T90 2h weapon? It's an extra step for no gain whatsoever (Probably a straight loss if they turn into slower weapons), ensuring that they'll generally be dead content. Even in terms of theory, you're basically presenting the player with two identical weapons (because of the tier system) and arbitrarily making one of them harder to get. - It doesn't make sense in universe: how would you go about turning a crossbow into a longbow? More importantly, why would you? Can you explain why they shouldn't be alternatives? Because this is kind of a strange step away from your "no upgrading ever" stance and I'm having a hard time seeing the benefits. If Jagex could balance worth a damn, maybe. As things are, though?

The midwest scares me. Canada is superior. Let's not get ahead of ourselves now. Canada is filled with all sorts of strange things, like grizzly beers and Canadians.
  8. Perhaps if the game was built from the ground up around ability combat, that might work. Runescape just needs to be an action RPG, I think.
  9. That's Twitch integration, right?
  10. Except for lower-key combat. That's the divide here, I think.
  11. Saw that Duff had a link to his Tumblr account and spent half an hour looking at eyegasms. This, for example, is unbelievably badass.
  12. OH MY GOD THIS IS SO DIRTY WHY WOULD YOU MAKE ME DO THIS http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Dirty_robe TNPW LINK TO RANDOM ARTICLES FROM THE RUNESCAPE WIKI, WIKIPEDIA, AND A THIRD WIKI OF THEIR CHOICE
  13. Positive and mature content are two different conceptsBaby steps! :-D
  14. Pictured above: the first time Golvellius has ever been positive on any thread of this forum.
  15. They seem to want every player to get one, though, and I think they've been aiming more recent stuff at comp capers recently than the rest of the community. I know I'd be a lot happier with the game if they didn't keep shoving a cape I have no interest in down my throat. Believe me, I've tried to completely excise it from my mind. The problem is that I'm a Tip.Iter, where everyone else is a comp caper who talks about comp caper things :-P There are also a lot of things happening in my life that I'm completely furious about, so I'm sorry about flying off the handle.
  16. I did start as a mid-level PvMer around the same time (And I still do "lower"-level PvM fairly regularly: have to get drygores for the stronger stuff somehow), and I really don't really see how maging Rex or soloing the GWD bosses prepares me for something like Nex, let alone Vorago. It's not insurmountable, and I'm not arguing that. It's just wildly different from everything else on the requirement. That's the point I'm trying to make. Is it so hard to say that without people assuming I want to dumb down the game?!
  17. I'm probably going to be falling completely into appeal-to-tradition territory with this, but no, it's not silly because they've spent the last three years putting boss requirements into the trimmed cape rather than the regular one. I honestly don't see a reason for them to completely redefine what it means to be an elite player now, when boss hunting is something you can really only do at the end. That's the thing here: it's a massive departure from the game's normal progression, requiring a completely different skill set that you're not really given a chance to hone until the end of the game. It'd be like giving me a slow-paced strategy game where the last 10 minutes are a FPS.
  18. Then what's the point of having a trimmed completionist cape? It's not about catering to anyone, it's about clearly defining what their official endgame is and what it isn't, and changing that definition at the drop of the hat because... why, exactly? I'm sick to death of them moving the goal posts because someone who's been playing for 13 years wants to feel special.
  19. Honestly, it doesn't really even make sense to put them on the vanilla comp cape; which has, until recently, been the max cape but with dungeoneering, quests, miniquests, and spells. The trimmed comp cape should be the one that you have to do every extra piece of content for, but if they're going to move requirements from it to the main cape, what's the point of having both? I mean, do they need to make the completionist cape of all things more exclusive for some reason? Wouldn't surprise me considering how many recent updates have had utterly pointless comp requirements that seem to exist solely for the sake of being comp requirements slapped on them.
  20. Worth noting that the biggest opponents of 'twitchy' content in the past were... Older players and those with physical disabilities, who played Scape because it was so low key. They weren't exactly happy about always getting told that they didn't matter. Honestly, boss content should be something you do because you want to, not something that you do because you have to have to... much like PVP.
  21. And it's not Wednesday yet.
  22. More than that, you can keep an item at a lower level of power than higher-end items without crushing it into complete and irreversible uselessness for all players.
  23. This. Flannery's official art is also less turtley.
