Succubi and/or Incubi? :-D I was going to say something about how it's such a huge departure from the old design, and then I realized that the screenshot didn't do it justice. It's not a bad redesign, just a bit overdone. Especially considering how streamlined the older model was.

The difference being that RS bosses are hard more because the system is less developed and less responsive than other games. Put a RS boss in the WoW engine, even keeping everything else the same, and the higher responsiveness in movement and stuff would make a huge difference. Its hard because of the type of game RS is, at least in large part. Being able to do certain bosses well requires a different type of skill. Yeah thos tick based system needs to go. The only reason jagex keeps it is because it is such an integral part of their development and they probably dont have the means of replacing it.Honestly, they could probably go the opposite route and make it fully turn-based. It might suit the ability system better.

Not a fair comparison. Those games have more responsive and intuitive controls and mechanics. :twss:

If it's contradictory or inconsistent, it's because of how broad the term is. May as well be expecting a white guy from Texas to think and act the same way as a white woman from England, really. Alternatively, if you don't have any interest in a sexual or romantic relationship (two separate things, really. You can want one without the other), you're probably not going to pursue one. Again, though, it sort of falls into the trap of "You're not asexual, you just haven't found what you like", if it's not outright asserting that you know the person better than they know themselves. Are you sure you're not confusing asexuality with celibacy? From the FAQ (Seriously, it's spot on for so many things)

It kind of assumes that people who aren't interested in sex or relationships just don't know themselves, really. I'm starting to think that the whole point of labels is that, even if there's no real reason to have one, there's a sense of affirmation in it: knowing that there are other people who behave in much the same way can show that you're normal and healthy even when the rest of society is bombarding you with the idea that being different is the worst thing you can do. At the very least, they make for a safe entry point into the (horrifyingly complex) world of sexuality and sexual identity. Something the world needs more of, considering how much misinformation there is.

I don't give a shit about who's entitled or whiny or whatever other buzzwords we're required to have in our posts here, I'm just suggesting that Jagex isn't helping. If they want bossing to count toward completionism, that's their right, but don't tell us that it was our idea when the players it affects the most are up in arms about it.

I get the feeling that the issue is more about how Jagex is treating the update. Would there be less opposition to it if they just came out and said that they wanted the endgame to be about bossing, instead of pushing something like this out and claiming that everyone is okay with it?
