Maybe just general seasonal EXP gain high scores, similar what RuneTrack and the like do? Especially if they can count gains after 200m. It wouldn't involve stat resets, but the effect would be the same, right? Unless the stat resets are the main selling point here, in which case I've got nothing.

...It would be really cool if the next few quests in this chain gave you the option to build an alliance between the gods against a superpowered Sliske.

That sort of implies that the other gods will just leave you alone if you choose not to participate.

...That doesn't do much to convince me when I already feel that the developers openly favor the HLF over that of the rest of the community. This gives them a new way to play, it gives me a new way to work.

Damn it Hedge, I wanted to bring up the prisoner's dilemma! I read it as a sort of cold war/prisoner's dilemma situation, actually. If they choose to participate, they have a chance at the Stone and they can get rid of a rival or two. If they choose not to participate, there's no guarantee that one of the other gods won't attack them anyway. And on the off chance that Sliske is actually true to his word (lol), even the more peaceful gods would want to keep it away from the likes of Bandos and Zamorak. So basically, they have to trust one another not to take the bait. Lol nope.

Am I the only one who's being reminded of all of the arguments about wilderness clue scrolls? Because the "If you don't like it you don't have to do it" thing sounds very familiar. I can barely afford training items as it is, but it's so nice to hear that having to compete with a horde of high-level billionaires for resources they wouldn't have bothered with otherwise won't affect me in any way~!

A lot of them have also had 12 years worth of unhealthy play to do it. I mean, that has *something* to do with it, right? ...Right?

You basically have to visit every cafe, restaurant (except the championship one), and landmark in Lumiose City to unlock it.

As a sort of counter to this, I was really annoyed when I literally had to dodge a car when I was in the college's parking lot today. I was standing to the side of an empty parking spot because I was waiting for a car that had just pulled out to move (It was next to mine), and the car behind it decided to cut through the spot I was standing in to get around it. ...I'm sure this is more embellished than what actually happened, but I came pretty close to getting hit today regardless.
