I heard that my school did that too. Doesn't affect me though, I don't drink it.

I've heard the opposite. People download to "sample" the company/band/whatever. That's not to say some people don't download stuff they already like, but I think downloading illegally is a great way to get to know new bands. But if they decide to sample every one of the company/bands/etc's products then a lot of money is lost on the original creator's part.

They were obviously interested enough to download it, so they had a possibility of purchasing a legal copy. I don't see how it can't be stealing. You never bought it, yet you own a copy of it. It wasn't given away, you took it from a website that had obtained it illegitimatly.

Piracy is unacceptable. You are stealing the game, movie, or music. If you own the game, movie, or music yourself, but download a digital copy, it's another story.

[/hide] Yeah, I'll be a senior in high school this year. The cards are given out by a number of factors. For a platinum, you need a 3.5 or higher GPA, or a 30+ on the ACT, 97% attendence and be enrolled in atleast 1 AP course. For a gold, seniors get them automatically, other then that you need a 3.0 GPA, and 95% attendence. Red is what everyone else gets. My school has gotten really big on security in the last couple of years, so they have been trying to keep tabs on everyone who is and isn't a student. I don't mind the cards and it's just a lanyard. Since I've earned the highest so I don't have to worry about anything.

Discussing the choices of other's is perfectly fine. What if that person is someones choice. Then make it your choice so we can end this pointless squabble. My car annoys me. It's tires are garbage and squeel whenever I make a turn, so I sound like an idiot whenever I'm driving. When winter comes, this thing will be sliding all over the place. My parents have been delaying putting in new tires since we bought it used last year. Oh, and syllabus's annoy the hell out of me. It's just the same regurgitated garbage that I have to hear 5 times. I'll get to hear it all again next semester too.

Ugh, my school is initiating a lanyard system. We have to wear one at all times from now on. We also have a card system, where there are 3 levels. Platinum is highest, then Gold, then Red. With a Platinum card you get to leave school a couple minutes early, which is great to avoid the rush and to get ready for cross country practice, you get to roam the halls during late start, and you get to travel without a pass. Gold can travel without a pass during homeroom and roam the halls, while Red Cards get nothing. I'll be recieving my Platinum card within a week. :thumbup:

Meh, I'll take biased news over sports anyday. Atleast it's something more interesting than sports. But the guy who controls the T.V. is the athletics director so I doubt he will change it from ESPN. Plus, half the time the captions arn't even on so you can't really pay attention anyways. I remember during our freshmen year they would be movies on it. Nothing really good, just G and PG rated movies. It was nice watching President Obama's inaguration earlier this year during lunch.

My school go's from 730 - 1438. We get a 6 minute passing time between each block, which is more than enough time for me, though some people complain that it isn't enough time. :? Lunch is going to be 35 minutes long. Hopefully they will have the projection TV turned on to CNN instead of ESPN like they did all of last year. -.- I've got 3 AP courses lined up. AP American History was easy last year, I managed a 4 on the exam, which was what I was shooting for. Getting a 4 is a garuanteed A in the class, but that didn't affect me since I already had an A. :XD: This year I have AP European History, AP Chemistry, and AP English Language. I was thinking about changing Psychology to AP Psychology, but I'm thinking against it now. I only have 2 easy classes, with Psych being one of them, so taking it away and adding another AP class will probably kill me come April/May.

My school's days are similar to yours. We have Red and White days (our school colors) with 4 blocks each day. Lunch is during 3rd hour, where we get 30 minutes at various times. We get a 30 minute late start on Wednesdays.

I understand exactly how you feel. It's like they boobytrap those things.

I went ahead and merged the two threads since the OP of the locked thread did include some game information. I'm looking forward to this game. The multiplayer looks fantastic.

I got up at 6:00 this morning and went to my high school to help build a running course. We had a large number of people from our cross country team and we were laying woodchips down. It's a pretty large course, I'm not sure how big it will be, but it's turning out really nice. We still have to go and work on it 2 more times before it should be done though. :shock: I've got to work an 8 hour shift later too. -.-

If Star Fox avoids the FPS genre it is fine. There arn't that many shooter games (is that the genre? I'm not really sure what it is called exactly) out nowadays so it is a genre lacking in titles. With Wii Motion Plus Star Fox will be very interesting. Anyone who has done the island flying game in Wii Sports Resort will know what I'm talking about.

This :thumbsup: Dead Space was a great game, the only game ever to have made me jump in my entire 6+ years of playing. I've played them all, fear, fear extraction, silent hill, etc. and none of them felt like dead space. What a great game. I couldn't play it for a whole month :P It was the first real game I played on my 360 when I got it (I had played Lego Indy as it came with my console), so I had an awesome introduction to gaming on the 360. Dante's Inferno looks awesome and disgusting, I can't wait to try it out.
