Megadeth
Haha, I saw that. Back in the Day is a cool song. I like some Megadeth stuff, but I can't get over Mustaine's voice. Megadeth are better musicians, yeah (Friedman is a god), but musically, lyrically, and especially vocally, I prefer Metallica. Take No Prisoners and Hangar 18 are some of the Megadeth songs I like.

Ordered and received. CD's and DVD's.
I wouldn't be suprised if that's not the album you get. I think 10,000 Days is a decoy B-side album they put out, something about it doesn't feel right.

The Greatest Riffs Ever
Excellent call on The Chain. What a song, and the bass riff rocks me in a way I don't care to describe.

Bass guitar - Im looking for one
Yeah, not to mention the action on a low-end acoustic bass will be horrible.

Acoustic Guitar
:x That's cheating... and the world doesn't need another person who can read tabs... sorry if I seem harsh, but ANYBODY can do tabs... I guess I can't really make you read music, and I can't do anything about it, but if you ever get the chance try to read music... please... Learning tabs...learning music...Sorry I didn't realise one was more 'special' or 'acceptable' than the other? :? People like to feel smart, let her have her fun. :P I can read music, pretty much sight read the stuff, but I can see definate advantages of tab. It's more accessable, easier to learn, and if someone just wants to learn a riff, do they really want to sit down with the sheet music for the song? Yes sheet music is great, you get a real sense of the timing from it, and you can 'see' the piece. But not everyone cares.

Provided you don't go into a chain store. Stores like Guitar Centre etc will just try and sell you the most expensive piece of [cabbage] they can. I can give him just as good advice on what to buy as any shop assistant could.

Making own music
Although I'm older than 14, how can you say that a 14 year old wouldn't have the life experiences to be a good songwriter? Do you think that everyone has a perfect life? Think Again? Obviously I can't count everyone. I'm talking in general terms - You know, like normal people do when addressing a group of people? I'm sure there's some great young songwriters out there, but most of them have nothing better to write about than how they got detention and then their SIM card stopped working.

Making own music
To write good lyrics you need to have experienced something - Happiness, pain, rejection etc. Lyrics need emotion, so if you're like 14 chances are you haven't experienced enough to write good lyrics. OR, you could just throw together a psuedo-intellectual cheesefest, and call them prog lyrics.

The Greatest Riffs Ever
I guess it's more a theme than a riff. But I'm calling it a riff. What part is it? It's the part you'd hum if someone asked you to hum "Lazy".

Evilion - Free (and legal) metal album inside
You make it seem that metal is an insult, i happen to think thats a pro. I guess thats your opinion and you are entitled to it, just seems a bit baseless to me. Actually, I think he's saying the album isn't 'metal'. I haven't listened to it, from past experience I know I generally don't like what Necro listens to.
