Monday Poll: What caused your first Runescape death?
heymrdj replied to MPM's topic in General Discussion
Everywhere except Lumbride was a PKing zone back when I died in 2001. Lol be more specific then with your dates. I avoided RS back in those "beta" days because i found it a boring all PvP game. Had an account STOP_Eaglclaw as part of the STOP clan, but the game bored me. The thought of an all PvP RPG just bored the crap out of me. Didn't come back till RS got some land, a separate wildy, and a few quests. -
Monday Poll: What caused your first Runescape death?
heymrdj replied to MPM's topic in General Discussion
I died on that Hobgoblin island by the Crafting guild. I was lvl 6 and traveled outside of lumbridge for the first time. I was exploring the world in full iron and iron baxe. I got down around the crafting guild (all excited, new territorry, red enemies and all) and got tagged by a hobgoblin. Tried to get away but kept getting caught by that danged 3 round thing. That was in RSC, 6 years ago. -
Maby it was mentioned somewhere in all these pages, but doesnt' come to the fact that CW's root problem is the fact that it isn't balanced? High lvl members all run to one team because they fear n00bs like the plague for some reason I'll never understand. So you have one team that is made of everyone lvl 95 and up holding their own flag and pulverizing the other team that all the high levels ran from, aka the lvl 50's and smaller. Until Jagex forces balance by power instead of balance by number, CW will continue to be an "unfair" game. Instead of a balance of strategy, it is nothing but a balance of power.

Monkey Madness Puzzle [Please need quick help]
heymrdj replied to twiggy06's topic in Help and Advice
Me and bro ended up paying cause we didn't have all day :P. -
I would like to know why my signature was deleted. It contained my KSA rune shop image, and it contained my Magic EXP goal bar from runehq. I don't understand why it was deleted.

Have you checked to make sure you are not overheating?
-
So whats this? Read the post properly before you go spouting unnecessary advice. WOOHOO moody aren't we. You might wanna keep that in better check hun. The gamestreams aren't known to be the best, but at 700W, its enough overkill to put out a decent 550+ load.

Creating your own IRC channel (need help)
heymrdj replied to pepsi_me_blu's topic in Tech and Computers
Just use any client, and go to the home of almost any IRC server such as irc.aniverse.net and use the help to see how they make you register channels. Typically, your channel can have up to 15 days of inactivity. -
Still wrong. A Core 2 Duo 6600 spanks anything AMD makes right now. A great motherboard is the Asus P5-BE. For this build you'll want a better power supply. What fried your last board? If it was while overclocking, a bad Power Supply Unit (PSU) was probably the cause. Look for a quality PC&C, Enermax, Seasonic, XILCO, or OCZ model with at least 450 watts.

The fastest way for prayer is to go up from varrock to about lvl 21 wildy to the east side of the Zombie Graveyard. There is a respawn of about 21 bones total I believe, some big some small. Just go at it burying like your life depended on it. Otherwise, bury every bone you get while training ranging to help you on the way. If you're low lvl, try playing around with the cows and hobgoblins around the crafting guild. If you're 50+, Taverly dungeon against the big blue dragons using the range spot is the way to go. Big dragon bones for excellent prayer exp, and blue dhide that you can sell for a decent price. Either way, I find using iron arrows the most reliable over all. For clues, the blue drags will drop lvl 2-3's. The hobgoblins will drop a 1 or 2 rarely. The cows might drop a 1 in a year or so :P.

2 of the best posts in the help and advice board, I wish i could copy and paste them into all these money making threads... Just pick a skill and stick with it, even if it's boring, it'll get cash. At the moment I'm cutting 28k magics - max i can get is 1k a day - no lifing for 10 hours. Sure it's boring, but i just keep thinking of the massive reward at the end. And msn. Msn is great when you get bored. There's a good piece of advice. Turn on your favorite Media player, crank up the playlist, and open your favorite IM. I'm suprised how quickly I can churn out 4k cosmics that way.

I thought it was too. Just wanted to check since I hit so much higher and so much more often using Guthix Claws rather then Wind Wave and the like. I'll go through the 50,000 fire strikes first.

I just recently completed the Mage arena Mini Game (stupid pkers made that take way too long) and made myself Guthix. I did the 100 spell thing and unlocked it so I can use Guthix Claws outside the arena. From the quest I still have 210 bloods left over. So I'm wondering which spell is better to train with (I'm getting to 96 btw). (I'm currently 64 mage now). Option 1: Use Guthix Claws on moss giants, which I could fire 105 of. Option 2: Use Wind Waves on moss giants, which I could fire 210 of, but I fail a bit more often then the claws. Option 3: Use the 50,000 mind runes I have on moss giants to get to 76 or 77 mage, and then use Fire Waves with the blood runes. So what do you guys think?

Well said. I rc'd my way. 2.5 months and made over 6 mil on cosmics. I think its lazy to be always looking for these get rich quick ways. Pick a skill and use it people.

very nice edit marks! give me an F! give me an A! Give me a K! give me a E! what does that spell? FAKE!!! EDIT: The fuzzy appearance of this screen capture is fairly common when saving screen captures as lower quality JPGs. Please do not accuse someone of faking when this happens - McGuff1 EDIT: Warning bad words removed - McGuff1 man I couldn't post the full size here. I don't know how to edit photos, all I did was print screen and post in paint. A friend said he'd cut it and put it up for me to link. If you wanna see the original you can see it here: http://www.everythinganime.org/1st%20clue%20scroll.JPG You know if you think those blurs stand for edit marks think again. Just look at every hue shift, and you'll see those same blur marks, around the anti poison pot I carried just in case the chest was boobie trapped, the buttons, the x at the treasue trail page itself, every object looks pasted :P. Its the inherent flaw of poor quality JPG.

Oo, where can u see him in F2P? I've seen him quite a few times in the Western lands. I wonder what he's for. I've never tried even talking with it or anything.

My first ever clue scroll, a lvl 2 from varrock guards by total accident when I was trying my friends granite maul out. I can't believe what I got. Two zamorak cloaks!!! 1.3M each! . But I ain't selling, one for em and one for my brother :). SO NO MORE PM's ABOUT IT!

lol that won't happen if you make a decent password and protect your system. Its just as easy to hack into your WoW account as it is your runescape account.

Lol Dagganoths? Are you kidding me? Yeah raiding Molten Core, Blackwing Lair, Onyxia's Lair, and Naxx with 40 people is ALOT like killing 3 big Dagganoths when you only need 3 people to kill them. Not to mention in raiding your not only killing bosses but killing mobs to get to the bosses, and if you mess up on a pull your whole raid gets whiped. OH I get it now. Instead of trusting six close friends, I choose a bunch of dummies from a guild that won't return my stuff if I die. Yep I got ya now.
-
Guilds...clans...their all the same. Raiding bosses...sounds like Dagganoths to me...and it sounds like making war :P. And ya don't have to make bows for 10 hours. Its you that chooses to do that. You could diversify instead of training one skill to 99. Smart people learn that :P.

I think except for java based you just described WOW. Last time I knew WOW was point and click. The hit you do is totally determined by the server and its algorithms, just like RS. I sure don't see depth is WOW with its lack of skills. Its repetitive to play PVP or go on clan wars.
-
Same here. It is like inflation, the stats are HUGE. I can get the same done in rs with 60 hitpoints as I can with 580 hitpoints in WoW or Hellbreath. I mean, lvl 60 limit? I lvled him to 39 in one day. And then what? Waiting to find a clan and wait till there ready and try to follow them into battle and all that jazz? Hell no. I ain't much into combat anyways. I love all the skills in runescape. And after 5 years with my Heymrdj character, with a one year hiatus, he's still just reached lvl 73 2 days ago. And I think if somehow I max this character out before rs dies, I'm gonna make him a lil bro. A fighter, staker. He's gonna have 70 defence, before any other skill gets trained on. and He's gonna be a ranger/mage. Since 4 years ago in rs1 I've always wanted to make a character like that, so I think i soon will. But thats the difference. So many years with this one character, and I;m still not bored. And when I'm done with this one...well I already got plans laid out for another one. Leveled to lvl 39 in one day eh? Got no life? Played for 24 hours? Considering I started a new character on a newer server not too long ago and the highest person was level 45 and the server was only 3-4 days old. I seriously doubt you could get 39 in ONE day. Actually yes I played a 19 hour benge. It was my 3 days off and thats how I chose to spend one of them.

Hold it... Did I hit 17 or was it the guy next to me?
heymrdj replied to DeathSpray's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
I, Heymrdj, support, and so does my brother The Coolness. -
