My main worry behind this, since someone brought up HIV, is how it would adapt to those who have had their genetics altered to become more resistant to those kind of virii. HIV, even 20+ years to this day, has not been "cured". It just continually adapts and works past whatever immunity/resistance one has built up. If it were to adapt, it could become potentially more dangerous to those who have not adapted. It's an interesting topic, and I'd like to see where things go.
