  1. That's so slighted towards overhyped games it's not even reasonable to go that route.
  2. when did blaziken and dragonite become underrated?? No one expects Blaziken to do anything with Infernape everywhere, but Blaziken has better attack stats and decent speed, which makes it a great wallbreaker (better than people expect). Dragonite isn't used as much because Salamence has better speed and attack, making it a better sweeper, yet Dragonite has Extremespeed and Focus Punch, two things Salamence doesn't have. Blaziken is more easily revenged than Infernape, and the middling speed doesn't do his higher offensive stats justice. He can do some wallbreaking though. He's outclassed badly by Infernape, who does his job in the OU environment much better. Dragonite is the more defensive of the two, while Salamence is more offensively-oriented. Offensively, Salamence does do the job of wallbreaking or sweeping a lot better. That being said, you need to play to Dragonite's strengths or else he is outclassed. Dragonite's defenses are superior, and he can work as a cleric pretty damn well. Not to mention he can actually survive an Ice Beam from most walls. Dragonite also suffers from four-moveslot syndrome, he really needs all those moves. Salamence only needs Outrage, Fire Blast, and Earthquake to do his job. The last slot is open for options. And in regards to Focus Punch, that's one of the few things he has over Salamence. Extremespeed just doesn't work well outside of a terrible anti-lead. He doesn't have the power behind it to effectively revenge threats. In terms of the other OU Dragons, Flygon makes a great Choice user, with an acceptable Attack and Speed stat, arguably the best offensive typing in the metagame which is only resisted by Skarmory, and access to options like U-turn. The Dragon/Ground typing really affords him a very nice set of resistances, which coupled with Levitate, makes him very sturdy. Choice Band actually makes him hit very hard, and allows U-turn to OHKO most Celebi after SR. Choice Scarf makes him a very efficient revenge killer, being able to survive a hit up to a +1 Tyranitar Crunch and positive nature and lower. Kingdra is probably the lesser of the OU Dragons, but is amazing in it's own right. It's typing affords it only one weakness, Dragon, and a plethora of solid resistances, including a solid 4x Fire resist. It also runs Water/Dragon, which goes completely unresisted if I'm not mistaken. It's ability is arguably one of the best out there, allowing it to even become a nightmare in Ubers, and making it the fastest pokemon in the Ubers, and by proxy, OU metagame. It's stats are also very well-balanced, and can take a hit if needed.
  3. Topic idea found. I agree on this, so I'll make it. Although it needs a few tweaks based on the few posters that pop around here. Maybe top 20, or would top 10 work fine?

Err, fill me in on this, but what's a DBQ?
  5. That team you played against was garbage. No team with even a small amount of competence would have issues eliminating one sentry.
  6. My friend just bet his soul and lost today. Coincidence? I think not. I made a deal with Lucifer, to exchange my soul for a sexy body and happiness.

    Teeworlds.
  8. Runescape shouldn't be anywhere near a "top" list. It's only real merit is it's basically "MMO 101", about as simple as it gets. The game is still terrible. As are these lists unless there's some good rationale behind the picks.

And to make up for it, they extended your classes for a week. At least college classes finished up on time :P And in light of that: I am officially FREE from college work for four months. [bleep] yes.
  10. Hmm, take note of the blueprints in the background in the teaser. Bionic arm?
  11. Nah, its double exp. to celebrate the release of the stimulus package, so 360 got their double exp. weekend when they got the stimulus package, so PS3 and PC get double exp as well. But everyone is boycotting the stimulus package on PC and for good reason. We never had to buy maps for our games until Modern Warfare 2, and once everyone boycotts it (except for the [developmentally delayed]s) I don't think they'll be pulling a stunt like that ever again. Hopefully. Oh, have you guys read about the strife at IW? I don't think modern warfare 3 is gonna be very good because just about everyone who headed the team has left, leaving a lot of spots to be filled but with no real experience. Not that I'm gonna go buy modrrn [cabbage]fare 3 anyway -.-. Do you remember what happen the last time PC gamers got together for a massive boycott? Failed miserably. We 360 and PS3 users pay for our maps and never had dedicated servers and we don't whine and complain when something doesn't go our way. You really don't want to open up this can of worms, it's a losing battle for all sides. It won't matter, the point behind that boycott was that they were removing freedoms from the end-user: the consumers themselves. For example, the dedicated servers: IW removed that option from the legitimate consumer, removing freedoms that were, and still are THE NORM FOR ANY REPUTABLE PC MULTIPLAYER GAME. With those servers being removed, we no longer have the freedoms we used to: the freedom to play whatever maps you want, the freedom to enjoy gametypes, mods, etc the way you wanted to. They removed freedoms, and essentially told the consumers, "Hey, you don't need to have freedom, here, play the game the way WE want you to play. We don't care how you want to enjoy the game, we want to control it, just to protect the product itself." It's like buying toothpaste, and not being allowed to use it unless you're brushing your teeth. It's also like giving a child food for ten years, then cutting them off. You're removing an essential feature that is fundamentally required for a person, or in this case, a multiplayer PC game, to succeed or function. It's only a forefront of issues to come, and this brings a debate of "How much freedom should the consumer have?", reaching back as far as even the Betamax case of 1984 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sony_Corp._of_America_v._Universal_City_Studios,_Inc.), even before then. I don't feel like debating it at the moment though. To deal with consoles, matchmaking works fine, as it's the best the systems can handle efficiently, and we all know how unstable those connections can be. I'm actually arguing for PC/Console equality. You guys think it's unfair for you to have to pay for this one map pack and that it's unfair that you don't have dedicated servers for this one game but we've never had a free map pack or dedicated servers. Why should you all get these freedoms if we've never had them in the first place? Believe me when I say that we want a choice in our maps other than a simple veto and that we want to be able to play the way we want to but if we can't, what makes you all, the ones who aren't paying for online play, deserve the right to have all of this? The way I see it, we should be getting free expansions and dedicated servers like you all, or you have to pay for expansions and have matchmaking like us. Naturally, yes, both sides should be made equal. Both sides should get the free expansions and dedicated servers, but there's technical problems with this mindset. And we payed for our online play in another form: Higher-priced hardware, but that's another topic entirely. Although to add onto this, and explain the technical issues behind this somewhat, take TF2 for the consoles and compare them to the PC version as an example. The way things are now, they can't be completely equal. Consider TF2 on the PC; it's constantly updated as updates roll out, and the total size of the updates can reach sizes that some of the consoles cannot store without a larger storage unit. VALVe also wanted to send those updates to consoles, but for example, Microsoft won't allow the updates unless they can get some royalties for it. I'd continue this further, but I need sleep for now. And yes, they should be equal. And as a final note, restricting materials on the disc and making you pay to unlock them with real money shouldn't be allowed; It's a cheap money grab, and we all know that wouldn't work on the PC games that would do this, since it'd be cracked within hours.

Some of the things people say here make me think otherwise. Although the overall intelligence level is a tad bit higher.

And you have every right. But that is funny. Mom-"Hey Justin, want to help me fold clothes?" Me-"Not now Mom...doing homework." Mom-"[bleep] you then!" Ha. A lot of people are terrible though. Am I the only one who thinks people are fine as is? One or two anecdotes aren't a solid representation of a larger whole. Should I make a thread showcasing TIFs experiences with the denizens of earth? Should I make a thread showcasing TIFs elitist asshattery posts which makes them THINK they're superior in some form or another?
  15. Something just doesn't add up with the video; Why would they use SWAT for a guy who simply had a pipe and grinder? I still don't think we have the entire story behind this case, but this is enough of a reason for a huge change in laws. And I think that they really didn't conduct themselves professionally. Lobby the politicians to change these laws, and allow for leagalization of the drug. Then things spiral into opening way too many [developmentally delayed]ed cans of worms on issues ranging from the big corporations wanting to reduce and monopolize competition, to simple moral objections. Either way, this video pisses me off. All this over a simply psychoactive drug with relatively tame effects. Hell, the guy wasn't even a dealer, just a simple user.

The main point I want to make here is that there's a difference between a bull[bleep] excuse and something that can't be controlled by an individual. My point about my absurdly low serotonin levels isn't something within my control, and no amount of sunlight or physical work has caused noticeable changes in my mood, as an example. Interestingly enough, most third-world countries seem to not have any cases of ADD or ADHD.

I did something similar to that a few months ago out of boredom: I present a fusion of Seviper and Giratina: And in other news, there's been some serious flooding lately. As in half the town is completely underwater, it's that bad. I've had to evacuate for a few days and just got back and am now checking to see what got damaged from all this flooding. All because of torrential rain for two days straight without letting up. Nashville? Clarksville, although the water is starting to recede at this point. Nashville has it a bit worse than we do. It's absurd how bad the flooding has gotten though, to where entire parts of town are closed off due to floodwater.

So you're saying that 'borderline' cases like asthma and ADD are just used as excuses? That's debatable. Asthma IS debilitating, and from personal experience, I can pretty much tell you it really does limit my ability to run for longer distances or higher speeds, although this is just an example. Then again, these psychological cases can be based on chemical imbalances, such as my depression from the past few years were not due to experiences or anything like that, but because the serotonin levels in my brain and gut were so low that I couldn't be happy; It was even to the point where even sexual urges couldn't bring happiness. Most of these psychological diseases ARE a classification of symptoms though.

Immaturity is a part of being mature, in a sense. You're mature in my book if you can handle matters respectfully.
  21. I laugh at those who have AP classes, although it does net you college credits; I actually have three exams tomorrow if the conditions are good enough and there's no major floodwater at the campus.

  23. It doubles EV stat gains.
  24. I'd say to try finding Disgaea DS if you can. 100+ hours of gameplay for the storyline alone potentially. @gauper: Dead Space? Silent Hill?
