People on Shoddy piss me off. I basically leave a game after having Tyranitar be parahaxed 3 times in a row where if one parahax didn't trigger I would have won, having Draco Meteor miss 3 times in a row, and having a Jirachi receive a critical Draco Meteor that kills it, and not having any chance of winning. The guy I played against then has the audacity to say I use "cheap [wagon] ****" and how you only need to use pokes with a BST of 580 or less. I don't understand that logic to be honest, you're putting very arbitrary limits on yourself, which leads to you not playing at full capacity, thus, you aren't competitive at all. That's like picking the pistol over the assault rifle on any FPS, or not listing your important skills on a resume for a job. I guess I posted this before, but I'll post the team I currently use if you want to comment/critique/steal it. [spoiler=Team is in here] Gliscor @Leftovers 252 HP / 6 Atk / 252 Spe Ability: Sand Veil Nature: Jolly - Earthquake - Stealth Rock - Roost - Taunt Basically serves as a lead, stallbreaker, and Lucario counter all in one. EQ for obligatory STAB, Stealth Rock because it's SR, Roost to come back later, and Taunt to help stop stuff like Skarmory. Max speed is needed because other Gliscor are risky. Tyranitar @Leftovers 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe Ability: Sand Stream Nature: Jolly - Dragon Dance - Earthquake - Crunch - Stone Edge. I frankly save Tyranitar for lategame sweeping, when things that threaten it are out of play, and Scizor is dead. Gliscor loves the sandstorm, and Tyranitar obviously is threatening if he can get one, or even better, two Dragon Dances under his belt. The whole team is designed around trying to find an opening for Tar to get in and clear out stuff like Rotoms and whatnot. Heatran @Leftovers 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe Ability: Flash Fire Nature: Timid - Fire Blast - Dragon Pulse - Toxic - Substitute This Heatran is more designed to handle more offensively-oriented teams, and to punish those that use BP with Scizor. Get in, set a substitute if they'll switch, then wreak havoc from behind the substitute, unless it's something that threatens it or walls it, like Vaporeon, Suicune, or god forbid, other Heatran, I'll just Toxic or Dragon Pulse then sound the retreat into... Vaporeon @Leftovers 188 HP / 248 Def / 72 Spe Ability: Water Absorb Nature: Bold - Surf - HP Electric - Wish - Protect Vaporeon, who seems to synergize fairly well with Heatran, Gliscor, and Tyranitar, sponging the Water attacks constantly aimed at them. The Wish support is useful, and HP Electric is to counter Gyarados, who otherwise ruins this team. Jirachi @Choice Scarf 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd Ability: Serene Grace Nature: Jolly - Iron Head - Trick - Fire Punch - Ice Punch/Thunderpunch Jirachi serves as a decent check to a lot of threats that haven't garnered a lot of speed, and serves as my best check to Salamence and friends. Iron Head for the flinch nonsense, Trick to scout, and Fire Punch to deal with Scizor and Lucario. I usually only use Ice Punch since Thunderpunch doesn't quite help in most cases, and I need a decent Salamence check/counter.(Worst comes to worst, it can speedtie with +1 Jolly variants of Salamence) Latias @Choice Specs 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spd Ability: Levitate Nature: Timid -Draco Meteor -Trick -Surf -Thunderbolt Tacked on but awesome. Nothing to add here. It really does help with the team's defenses, so I can't quite complain.

It's different here in Aussieland. Besides, some of their uni courses are ONLY post grad college. Oh and the minimum drinking age over there is 21. So alls' fair. It's still a load of bollocks. Why the hell do we have to wait to be 21 to drink, when basically the rest of modern civilized society has it at 18 or something? If it's for some reason like too many drunk driver-related deaths, then just lower the age to 18 and let the problem solve itself. Then again, this is the same country that sinks more money into interventionist affairs and our prison populations than issues that really matter, like education costs; and also this country is one that basically resorts to having police officers dressed up like soldiers for simple drug busts on one guy who simply has a bit of resin on a pipe, shooting the pets that live in the home, then having the audacity to charge the guy with child endangerment after shooting near those kids, if the drug users have kids at the time. And this country also lets you get lesser jail sentences just by bribing the juries or judges. And lets not forget all the stupid hiccups this country pulled all because of "moral" conservative bull****(Prohibition anyone?) This country frankly sucks >__> And I'm just cutting it as dry as I can.

If you have the English version of the game you get a French Pikachu and if you have the Japanese version you get an English Pikachu. Hmm, I know you're supposed to get a French one. Mine seemed to have the ability Run Away. Which is weird, but cool.

So I did the trade with Lt Surge for his Pikachu. His Pikachu was French and had the ability Run Away. A glitch perhaps?

"Everbody Draw Muhammad" Day
It's all cyclical anyways. I personally just don't understand the need for violence over a mere depiction, but that's just my cynicism at work here.

"Everbody Draw Muhammad" Day
More interestingly, I wonder why, in a different parallel, why Christians don't react like this to basically any Shin Megami Tensei game, the game series where Lucifer is portrayed as the good guy in most of the mainline games, and Yahweh/god and His angels want to subjugate humanity in a way similar to how Stalin handled things back in the day. Maybe the lack of extremists to this extreme just because of a cartoon?

Trying to find a song with certain lyrics.
Yeah, that'd be it. I ended up hearing the song again. I think this can be nuked now.

The Lucid Lynx
Oh. The buttons take just a second to respond for me, and the games (mostly) run like butter, so it works fine by my standards.

The Lucid Lynx
How responsive are the buttons for you? Does it take a second for them to respond, or is it pretty much immediate?

Shotguns are lots of fun if you use them defensively to guard points. At that range, you'll be outgunning every weapon short of other shotguns.

Went ahead and tried it, and I kinda like it. It's simple enough. EDIT: Steam seems to feel really slow. I used the graphics driver that was recommended from the Hardware Drivers option under System>Administration. Nvidia GeForce 9600GT if anyone is wondering. Is there some special configuration I need to do to get Steam to run at a reasonable pace? EDIT REDUX: Steam running a bit slow is normal apparently, and games run fine, it's just I'm not getting all the FPS I normally get in XP for whatever reason. Anyone know any common causes for this? I get anywhere from 20-40FPS on medium settings and dxlevel 80. On XP I get 100+ FPS and dxlevel 90. And on a more interesting note, I seem to get less, if no lagspikes in online games with this wireless card, whereas it happens more often than not in XP. And this is in CS:S

Abortion in Canada
I don't see this topic really going anywhere unless we define "life". When does it start exactly? We all know it ends on death physically, but we can't say when someone's "life" starts. There's just nothing that can really definitely say so. I personally see life starting as soon as they are able to leave the mother's womb. I don't consider fetii to be "life" in a sense. Sure, they're functioning organisms, but they do not have the ability to survive long at all, "long" being more than a mere few minutes or so. Same applies for those who are in a vegetative state. They really are unable to function at all, and then the question stands of whether they're truly "happy" at all in that way and want to continue their existence as such(this last statement only applying to those in a vegetative state, not to fetii). As for abortion itself, I personally don't see it as murder. It's not unlawfully killing someone, and abortion here in the U.S. is legal, so it can't be called murder. Correct me if I'm wrong in thinking it's the same in Canada. I'd also rather a kid who'd be born into sheer poverty, suffering, and the inability to live with even a bit of happiness in their life whatsoever rather not be born at all. I figure it would save themselves the suffering.

He's like 63 or something, and he's still at it. I think all that karma is going to bite him in the back sooner or later.

It was similar to rock, although it was a bit more relaxed. And it's not Willy Murphy either.
