  1. Yes. They're both amazing maps. I don't think they'll bring Bog back though, too easy to spawn trap. With all the overpowered [cabbage] in the game, Bog would become a huge spawntrap. Chopper Gunner basically raping your spawn point anyone?
  2. The helicopter in CoD4 was annoying because it prioritised shooting the players with the highest scores, it was incredibly annoying to be beasting and then have to hide because it spent the whole minute shooting at you. Dogs in my opinion were as bad, if not worse, than the killstreaks in MW2. In MW2 you can take out a Chopper Gunner, its a single thing, and CB counters it to some extent, but in WaW dogs would keep rushing you for the whole minute and could take like three shots from a bolt action rifle to down. I actually wouldn't miss killstreaks much, it would be a great incentive for people not to camp. MW2 has a lot of big, I mean BIG, problems, but its still a a good laugh and a lot of fun. Also I'm not complaining when I'm the one circling the map in an AC-130, getting quad and triple kills whilst the 13 year olds on the other team stand there and do nothing. then once you die you can switch to cb and switch back after it's down and you die i'm just sayin if you're going to complain about something at least attempt to do something about it. So you're saying it's our job to do that? yup The helicopter actually prioritized those with RPGs and LMGs above others. It handles the larger threats to itself first.
  3. I tried that, I only remember fragments of the song that stand out.
  4. I cannot seem to find a certain song, although I know some of the lyrics, or fragments, like "People, keep on walkin'" and "People, keep on rockin'". Would anyone know where I can probably find the name of the song?
  5. I still use XP, although I don't think it would really hurt to give this a try in a dual-boot. Any issues I had with XP were usually hardware-related for some reason. And I never had a virus in the past two years. It all comes down to the user to be honest. And I'm way too used to XP, so maybe trying something else wouldn't hurt. I used Ubuntu before, but I hit two issues that I could not seem to resolve: 1) The graphics driver refused to install whatsoever, even with the instructions from Nvidia's site. If that worked and Steam was ported over, I'd never need to use XP again. 2) After going from 8.04 to 9.04, I couldn't get my computer to dual-boot correctly back into XP again for whatever reason. And my wireless card wasn't detected either. Could it be my wireless card just isn't recognized also?
  6. I'd suggest to find the MAC addresses of all compters in your house, look at all that have connected to the router, and ban any of them you don't recognize.
  7. -Exp Share gives full EVs to both the battler and the wielder of the Exp. Share. So if an Abra gave off 1 SpAtk EV, then both pokes would get 1 SpAtk EV. -You have to see them first, although I do have cloned events to pass around if you need the pokedex entries.

    Passed :V
  10. I really hope they go back to 3-5-7. That was at least reasonably balanced, and the helicopter wasn't completely broken.
  11. It's a pretty exceptional series in my opinion. I enjoyed it somewhat.
  12. The M60 is awesome, even after it's supposed "nerf"
  13. That guy you were playing against was terrible. Where was the Ice attack at?
  14. One day, on a long rainy night, the Engineer was playing his banjo or whatever it is whenever those goddamned mutant worms stole his Apple. This gave him an idea to solve practical problems. Thus was born the Apple Sentry Sentry does the following: -Shoots an Apple when enemies are in view, 10 second reload. This apple attracts those goddamn ants, creating an aura of slowness similar to the effect on Natascha because those mutant worms have to be waded through, they're that hungry for that Apple. And those mutant worms are a bunch of hipsters, wearing hippie clothing and thinking they're better than everyone else. The Apple vanishes after 8 seconds. -Due to the nature of how it's firing "organic" materials, it now takes 200 metal to build. 60 damage destroys this sentry also. It also shines white. And it cannot be sapped, seeing how this sentry is decidedly "better" than other sentries. It also cannot be repaired due to the lack of proprietary materials that the sentry uses. Instead, the Engineer has to build(scratch that, buy) a new one. It takes 30 seconds to buy a new one. -It has no secondary function. It just fires Apples. -Since this sentry is "perfect", it cannot be upgraded. It already attracts enough mutant worms as it is. For it to be upgradeable would be blasphemy. -Hey, humper/turtleneers. Tired of sitting near your sentry and bored? Why not buy some games to go with it, like Pong for $10? How does it sound for an unlock? EDIT: http://store.steampowered.com/freeportal/ You have until the 24th. Valve is giving out Portal for FREE, no strings attached.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ghJo_XLjQ2g Heh, it's not bad at all.
  16. True story. If this is in rural areas, you have no reason to complain. How else are farmers going to move their stuff around? Go full out American. There's a difference between that and a tractor though: One can last for at least fifty years with minimal maintenance.

  18. It's pretty funny when you're the one doing it though :P Battlefield's pretty infamous for those kinds of stunts. Back in BF2 I used to use C4 to bounce myself on top of rooftops. And then there's this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8NCQek4fWV8

For starters, you can probably go into the router settings and ban any MAC addresses you don't recognize. If that doesn't stop him, then well...
  20. I doubt they are required by law to return a laser pointer, so no.
  21. Laser pointers can often be coupled with weaponry, which was probably their main concern. You are aware of a lot of the recent school shootings, I presume? Or worse, you could put someone's eye out or blind them. It is partly your fault though, one: bringing the pointer to school; and two: letting your idiot friend mess around with it. Perhaps you could have your parents retrieve the pointer for you, as a small consolation?
  22. That team you played against was garbage. No team with even a small amount of competence would have issues eliminating one sentry. It was on the bar room server and not all of them were terrible. I think they just got caught off guard by it lol. Fair enough, although it should have only worked once to catch them by surprise. Some sentries are a pain in the neck to get rid of, so I'll give you that much.
  23. I think top 50 would be a solid idea.

Who knows; Will Valve actually announce Episode 3 this E3 or something? Only part of E3 I'm looking forward to at the moment.
  25. In light of a recent topic basically having a terrible top franchises of all time, I figured, "So what does TIF think is the best?" So basically, why not list your top 10, and we can compile answers and figure out what the board as a whole thinks is the best. Not quite sure how the points are going to be handled for your votes, although there was a suggestion by Danqazmlp to have your #1 be worth 10 points, #2 worth 9, etc. [spoiler=My Top 10, as an example, with a bit of justification] 1. Metal Gear Solid (I personally enjoyed these games above any others.) 2. Shin Megami Tensei (I found these games to be nothing short of great. Darker storylines, and lots of mythology added in) 3. Half-Life series (Introduced me to FPSes, and basically started a long list of games afterward, like HL2, TF2, and various other games) 4. Devil May Cry series (I personally enjoy over-the-top action on games) 5. Resident Evil (Still damn fun to play even nowadays on the older ones) 6. Baldur's Gate (Basically introduced me to RPGs, and the games are still fairly good) 7. Penumbra series (A relatively small series of games, but they're nothing short of brilliant in their design as a puzzle/survival horror hybrid) 8. Diablo series (My first game I was introduced to one day at a friend's house. Pretty much started the whole dungeon-crawler RPG series, and spawned many aptly-named "Diablo clones". It's one of those games you come back to every few years or so.) 9. Mario series (I grew up with these games, and none are bad at all, most are fairly well-designed) 10. Pokemon series (It's probably nostalgia here, but it's a very simple game to pick up and play, and I grew up with it, so who knows?) So let's get the ball rolling. I'll probably let this run for a few weeks or so, so everyone has a chance to get their vote in. P.S. Some games are from other series that I really enjoyed, but didn't quite find the entire series good enough to add to my list, i.e. Final Fantasy VI, Dragon Age: Origins, Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, and Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.
