There's been discussion on that among the TET members, actually. We almost always come out saying that there would very few would end up coming (various reasons). Of course, that's not to say that general opinion in this thread wouldn't change our minds :)

Oh it's happened tons of times to me as well. The trick is to simply go to Edgeville for a couple of tasks - take your mind off it..then go back to Chaeldar/Duradel. Good luck! :)

Yeah, I was talking about the Armor. The bow I was using at the time was Crystal, not Karil's X-bow.

I don't see what the big deal is. Most of the players who're at the Arena are either looking to make money on the items or are just there because of all the hype surrounding the place. The bottom line is that alching in that room is a gigantic money loss. Most Runescape players = greedy little kids. They don't want to lose anything. My prediction is that that room is going to become very empty in a couple of weeks. Frankly, I can also think of many better things Jagex has done to reduce inflation in the game. Want an obvious example? Barrows. Everyone wants Barrows equipment. How many players have we seen at CW with Torag hammers and Full rune, or Red dragon hide and a Greataxe? Tons of money disappearing every single day.. Edit: You're talking to a guy who's wasted over 20 million on Runes alone. I don't give a [cabbage] about losing cash on Runes as long as I can get experience fast, or if getting exp is fun in some way. But I'm still not going to spend hours of my time in the Alchemist room..it's slow exp and also boring as hell. Chances are that other rich Magic trainers feel the same way.

I don't wield anything when I go there. My Agility and Thieving are high enough for me to get past the obstacles in 1-3 tries...I find that people who bring extra stuff are just wasting energy.

When I bought my latest set of Karils, it broke to 100% as soon as I shot an arrow from my Bow. Casting spells and ranging also degrade sets. Try it yourself! :) I completely agree with you on the other points though. I want that Book, Gloves, and the Boots, but I'm using Ahrim for everything else. Screw the repair price, it's negligent.

Souls = 88k exp per hour. Cosmics your way = roughly 60-70k exp per hour. You tell me which is better. :)

Guys, I would just like to mention some things as a warning to everyone - TET Pking trips in general have been a disaster. Many times, we have encountered ill humored clans bent upon crashing us, and once they turn up, we usually end up scattering. We are not a clan, but a fellowship of friends who are out to have some fun. We have rarely been able to get organized enough to defeat a clan pking trip. Please keep this in mind before you come to this event. I do not want you to lose your valuable equipment!

Mod Paul told us in the same post that experience outside the Arena hasn't changed. Either you're full of crap, or you just saw a bug. :\

Jagex likes to toot its own horn...I really think that if the Equipment had anything out of the ordinary, they would have told us.

There are four new wands. The first one has +5 to magic offense and defense. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that the probability of the best one having +20 to both is very good :\

Actually, you'd have to be seriously moronic to not be able to finish any of the Mazes within 10 Laws. They're all ridiculously easy.

I'm sorry, I should have been more clear. There's a concrete reward given for completing five mazes in a row.

There are five mazes overall. I think that this was a very brilliant move by Jagex. Do you guys see what they have done? By introducing this arena and giving the Magical equipment contained therin worth a lot of "Enchanter's points," they have elevated Cosmic runes to a level previously unseen!

When January 1 falls on a Sunday, the day after, Monday, also becomes a holiday. This is maybe the reason why Jagex hasn't updated anything today.. Anyway, no biggie for me, really. I could care less about PoHs and Carpentry. :\

The healers: both the videos I've seen show the Healers being killed. My question is this..why bother? Why can't I just make them attack me, maybe position myself so not all of them can attack me at one time..and spend the rest of my time on Jad?

I just..gah. I'm 83 range, 96 hp, 95 defense. I just did my second try (serious ones), and got two hit by the boss. Can anyone give me advice on how to handle things when the boss comes? I was fully potted/hp when the boss came, pot on Range protect like instructed and got hit for a 72. I ran near him to be able to see what kind of attack he does, but when I saw the 72..I started eating..and the next thing I knew, I switched prayers incorrectly and I'm owned. :S So, if I get to him the next time, should I run as far away from him as possible so as to make him come towards me? Should I still keep on range protect? Should I stay wherever I am?

My claim is this: the Tip.it Events team would put 10 million gp's to a much better use than anyone else that posts in this thread. Apart from supplementing our fairly mediocre bank, the additional cash would allow us to put forth some of the money to every event we host. Why do we need the money? Because of this: we spent around 9 million gp on our last drop party, and we don't have that much left. Additionally, as Nathaninch mentioned earlier, a 10 million gp donation would ensure that a lot of people go home happy after participating in any subsequent event we host. And that is the donator's goal, is it not? A donation to the TET may be given to any member. My Runescape RSN is "Anarith."

Let this be a lesson to you: next time you afk, atleast run out of the area, or switch to Full Guthan so atleast you can have the opportunity to heal yourself by luck!

... Verac's set does not negate Prayer as it does armor. For the last time: if you can hit 31 on an individual who is not praying, then you can hit 31 on him or her while they are praying. I have 86 strength at the moment. I can hit 22-23s natural with a Whip. Therefore, when I duel (no prayer, no potions), I have the capability to hit anywhere from 0 to 23. If my opponent starts to pray, I still can hit anywhere from 0-23, only, the fact that he's praying makes it so that I cannot hit on him as often as I could before. The fact that people have hit high while wearing Full Verac only means that they got lucky when their opponent was praying. It does not mean anything else. Protection prayers merely lower the chance of you hitting your opponent. They have no effect whatsoever on the damage that can be inflicted.
