That's not art, silly. There's no pencils or brushes or gimp. No nothing.

Try adding texture instead of just shading. Like this: When drawing an animal with scales or texture you don't want smooth lines. Try harsh "scratchings" to give it a rough look. Sorry for the crap quality.

Vector is the ability to zoom in or out without losing quality. Fonts would be considered vector, or anything made in vector programs.
