  1. More/updated at orbiit.deviantart.com (I got a new one) HDR Panorama ^ Just so you know, I don't have a fancy 5d Mark II, 7D, or even a high end Rebel. I just have a Rebel XS with the standard lens that came with it (18-55mm). I live in a barren land, Labrador, and there isn't that much to take pictures of. I need all the tips I can get, so any critique is helpful.
  2. Looks like I should join in on this thread too. My rsn is Dartfield - feel free to add me since I only log in every now and then to see how many friends is on. I can't stand playing when there's no one to talk to. My first 99 was wc on the 15th of December, 2007. I recently got my second 99 last month ~ cooking, and I'm 14k maples from 99 fm. My lowest skill is 60 dunge. The last skill I spent the most money on was 60-70 pray ~ 10 or so million. Current goals is 99 fm, 90 magic, and 65 rc. Even though I'm writing this, I will not be playing rs as much because of summer and a summer job. When people get out of school and they say they have all summer to play rs, I'm the opposite. I love the outdoors during summer. I hike, go kayaking, travel, go for walks, runs, whatever else.
  3. Attach a rune on an urn, that's a hidden task which a lot of people seem to wonder about. I believe I have done that, are there any other hidden tasks? I had the same problem, until someone told me the task where you have to smith a addy med helm in the varrock task list. Try that one.
  4. I graduate next month actually. I've been there for 2 years now, almost. I don't do much graphical design work since it isn't really art to me. >_>
  5. Yea I hang around. I'm in art school and this is an art community. :)
  6. They don't really match your forum but I like the look. :P
  7. If you have an SLR, put it on manual and leave in on auto focus. Just because manual focus is there does't mean you're an awesome photographer because you use it. To get a good exposure in manual press the shutter button half way don until you hear a noise. Then look at the ev meter and you should see -2, 0, +2 and some lines in between, change the f-stop or iso to get the reading you want. To me the best exposure is -1 because even though 0 is considered ideal, it still looks too bright. Also change your apature to around 8.0 to let a good amount of light in. For composition, set up what you're taking a picture of if you can. For the shoes, do something weird like stack them up on top of each other or something. :s If there's not enough light in the room, turn on some light or get a flash light. I never use the flash on my camera unless it's all I had or what I was taking a picture of was reflective and I knew it would add shadow and a spectral light. Worry about critique later, worry about how to take good pictures and getting the settings down path or what works for you first. :)

    Some of my "gfx"

First and last are awesome. Try emphasizing the light on the renders even more to get it noticed. Just try it, if it doesn't work you can scrap it. :P

Why did that take 35 hours? :|

Well it's al I see and most people will agree. If you did edit the image in other ways at least make it noticable. People don't care how you make art, it's how it looks.

You added 4 splatters? Post when you have a lot more done, please.
  12. Pho-ta-toes? Potatoes? First and last are cool.
  13. Always shoot in RAW >_> Meh, they're just photos that ayone could've taken. To seperate 'your' photo from 'a' photo, try something different like the angle, depth of field, contrast, etc. Something cool I like to do is to turn your camera on it's side so that 2/3 of the picture is sky (if it's interesting).
  14. Can we change this to a general daily drawing thread? I don't use a tablet but I do draw traditionally almost every day.

    First DSLR

Canon are known for their cheaper lenses while Nikon are known for their lense quality. I wanted a Nikon but because of the location I was in and the time I had left to buy one for school, Canon was the only brand I could find. That being said it's actually a good camera (Canon rebel XS). The camera body is not as important that of the lense because you can have 1 macro lense (just an example) and upgrade your body every few years. You will always have your lenses. So what Shiny said earlier is true.
  16. Here's a little something - get an empty bottle that can spray water like a windex bottle. Well anything with a nozzle and spray water on the leaves and point a light source on the leaves to give them shine and reflection. Or if you want to look pro you can get an eye-dropper thingie and put a drop of water on a leaf and take pics of that, but you probably need a macro lense for that. There are loads of those pics on dA. =)
  17. What camera do you use? I'm debating on what camera I should buy and Nikon looks like it's winning. >_>
  18. Aurora = space so I went with that. :)
