Cannonballs are a nice profit, but he's talking about getting to 85 quickly. And cannonballs are VERY slow exp.

They still degrade... Some people just buy 2 so that they can train twice as long between fixing bows

Well you certainly could become member right now if you wanted to. However, take into account that when I became member last month, most of my skills were 5-10 levels higher than yours, and I still found my self being one of the lowest levels at any task that I tried in p2p (ie. fishing, mining, combat, and others). So from this standpoint, it would be better to lvl your combat and skills a bit more before paying. On the other hand, for EVERY f2p skill, there is some sort of extension/shortcut that is members only, so you can level most skills more easily once you're a member.

I'm not lazy... I smith about 5000 ores and bars a day, so every little advantage I get will increase efficiency. 5K bars per day... And you're level 64... right... I've gone 64-68 in 2 days :)

The best JAGeX could probably do would be to contact the email provider and have the email account banned for attempted fraud. This wouldn't really help though, as they could simply create another email account :-k

1. I don't know what you mean. Are you saying your account was banned because it ran out of membership credit? Because that shouldn't happen. 2. It took almost 2 weeks for my money to be processed, and I live in western Canada (not too far from California where I believe they're located), so I imagine Europe would take a while longer

I agree whole-heartedly with your post. It seems like the only way to make a profit from the smithing skill it through smelting. Smithing any armour/weapons is almost guaranteed to lose you a little money. Perhaps they could introduce a new type of weapon (not new metal, but a new weapon, ie. 2h, scimmy, long, etc.) which can ONLY be smithed, and which has fairly good stats.
