  1. Boris, I think that's hilarious. I almost want to walk in front of someones fire line and light a few fires :P I'll bet the reason is that if you automatically moved around any obstacles, you'd be able to macro like crazy.
  2. Don't put down his rant. He's right. Ape Atoll is too difficult for some, and others don't want to do that monster of a quest. First Monkey Madness and then we have to save Awowogei. I did both, but I tried that course and it was OK for a while, but I'd go nuts trying to get the 70 where most people stop failing as much with the consistent failure. Jagex ruined the Wilderness for PKers and skillers alike.
  3. I don't support. While I agree that the disappearance of the wild is a bad idea, I don't think that making worlds for people who solely like to PK or kill monsters is fair. Unless you wanted to add worlds for skillers who don't like combat or PKing, this doesn't work. Jagex has already said that they're not going to do that, if you read the RSOF in the suggestions forum.
  4. Seems like a decent idea. I don't really like the location part, however. I'd rather tell a few of my friends, not all, where I was.
  5. I see just one problem. When going from P2P to F2P, do you keep the locked items as placeholders? Or do you lose those locks?
  6. Nobody's mentioned that even for P2P the bank on Karamja is a good walk away. You get an advantage, but it's still far away. Lobsters are just not something decent for fishing. I'd agree that the suggestion of an everlasting fire might do the trick, or possibly a range in the shop or bar.
  7. How do you make a player king? This is not keeping RS the same but adding a part. This is destroying RS in favor of a new game. How can you decide market prices? Jagex can do that for the GE, but each and every player chooses the price at which they sell their items. You can't have one person decide what everything would sell at, it simply cannot be done. RS would die.
  8. This seems a little over the top. I'm all for new means of transportation, but this is extreme. Too hard to implement. POHs were possible because they were in one location (at a time). If you've got half a dozen railroads, it becomes impossible to track. It also becomes too hard to regulate.
  9. How goes your quest for 99 mining? I think I'm about to do Cold War. I'm down to 22 quest points to a cape. Those are in 15 quests.
  10. I sure hope it is. Got Land of the Goblins done, along with A Tail of Two Cats. Neither was hard, somewhat slow though. I left some of the longer quests for last. I'm lazy. Land of the Goblins earned me level 46 herblore. I don't know what I'll use my lamps on.
  11. Yippee! I got a slayer level on my mountain troll task. Better yet, I got attack 70! Splurged on 2 pairs of barrows gloves, and I doubled my rune legs and bought two rune kites. I like bank placeholders. Most importantly, attack 70!
  12. Woo. Finally finished that. I got 52 prayer through it.
  13. Been workin on collecting the final bones for Rag and Bone Man. That quest has taken too long. At first I didn't realize there was a second part, so the delay is understandable.
  14. Finally, some updates. I had a nice Christmas, got Guitar Hero 3. Awesome game, love the wireless guitar. A friend of mine gave me a great Christmas gift that's got me itching for 70 attack, a whip. Only 35k xp to go. I have a Troll assignment that will get me 70 attack, 66 hits, and 56 slayer. I'm holding off though, I really want that quest cape. Did Eagles' Peak. Not too bad, or long. Earned 38 hunter through it. If I can train hunter a bit, I'll be able to use my tears for RC. I also took the time to make another stats screenshot:
  15. I saved Sir Amik Vazre for RFD. He was my last one, so I beat the Culinariomancer. I died, lost a few hundred casts, a DDS, a rune kite, and probably some other stuff. The Culinariomancer sucker punched me right as I beat Gelatinnoth. Oh well, quest complete. I threw the 20k xp at slayer, once I figured out that I'd level slayer twice with it. So here come the screenshots. Does anyone actually read this?
  16. I bit the bullet today. Got through Desert Treasure. Surprisingly, the chest only took me 3 tries. Died once on the Ice diamond, brought a friend who blessed my gravestone and I only lost my ectophial. I have to replace that now. I think I'll shoot for saving Sir Amik Vazre, and then defeating the Culinariomancer. I'm getting closer and closer to that cape.
  17. Big update this time. Last night I did Olaf's Quest. I figure I should do the quests that I've already got the stats for, so that I don't fall too far behind with the new quests on the way out. I was really close to a defence level so the 12000 xp netted me defence 61. After that I sat down and got busy with Legends. I don't see why everyone says "Oh it's one of the hardest". It's not hard, just unbearably long. I did it anyway. Threw almost all of my xp on attack, I'm tired of not having a whip. So now I'm 8k attack xp off 69, and 69k xp off 70. I have a bloodveld assignment that may take care of that. If not, it'll shave it down immensely. I put the other xp towards mage. I still need 65 for Lunar Diplomacy. I'm 40k xp off. I'm going to try to get through DT today, and that'll knock off another 20k xp.
  18. I'm on a roll quest wise. This also led to RuneCraft 40. Hopefully, I'll do Desert Treasure tomorrow.
  19. Woo! 210 QP. Christmas Break starts tomorrow, should speed up. Hopefully I'll stop delaying the completion of DT. I really ought to start it.
  20. Finally got this, to do my clue. The reward: That page went straight into my zammy book. Only 3 more to go. Don't really want to pay for those others, because then I'd have a problem going to get my whip. Maybe, I'll put a bank picture up soon. I've been working on rebuilding it, when my friend was holding onto my stuff, she used/dropped/sold some of it.
  21. Only a few thousand more xp to my clue being finished. 41 more quest points to go, I think. I have to do DT, but I'm putting it off further and further. I'm jealous of Wakka, he doesn't have to bump his blog. :-P
  22. I think I'll get one more to finish my clue scroll, and then I'll do Swan Song.
  23. What levels are recommended for Desert Treasure? How long would it take to mine to level 70? What ores? And if I want to profit? How should I get 50 RuneCrafting?
  24. The ZMI is not a proper replacement for essence running. The Rune market will rise uncontrollably. The problem being that ZMI doesn't give all natures, or all laws. And as xp slows down, people will abandon the slow RCing, and either use the ZMI or give up. And with these updates, the free market goes out the window, Ravenkana. We can't offer discounts on items to move them quickly. The GE doesn't provide for this because we have to restrict prices to a range. We can't trade unbalanced anymore, so a 100gp discount on more than 30 items isn't possible.
  25. I think that probably few Jagex staffers post here or this type of site in their spare time because what's the point. It must be tiring to work on RuneScape all day, and then going home to play it would tire one out. What's the point of joining a site like this if it isn't for a RuneScape community? Do I think that people have run into Jagex staff in every day life? Yes. Jagex is a company of humans who must eat, sleep, travel, and run errands. What's to say that person who you see in the supermarket on Mondays isn't from Jagex? Nobody knows where every person in the UK works, so obviously there's a chance people know others who work for Jagex and don't know it. I bet some Jagex staff have even recruited their friends in real life through "So how was work?" "Oh, we introduced a new game called RuneScape" or "I work for Jagex, a company who makes RuneScape"...
