  1. I think that P2P fishing is a stronger skill to do AFK. Woodcutting high level trees is slow, and the competition is even worse. Most good places to cut high level trees are either far from a bank or so crowded you get 2/3 logs per click. Fishing offers faster cash. And the good places to fish sharks (Fishing Guild) and monks are right next to a bank.
  2. The bank update and the achievement diary seem interesting. I'm not interested, however, in a new quest. The tutorial island update seems like a good idea. The old one was fairy dull and long.
  3. If Jagex told us nothing of a new drop or a monster, we'd spend ages trying to find it. At least doing a quest without a guide isn't that bad. There are clues. Once you start the quest you have to piece it together on your own. But, if you didn't know that the King Black Dragon was in his lair in high level wild, would you have gone looking?
  4. RuneScape will always have immature players. Many parents play RS, and some introduce their kids to RS. So as time goes on specific players will gain maturity, but as a community, the average maturity level will hang somewhere in the balance. Although the different websites advertising the game attract different sorts of players, the different websites are not entirely to blame. You can't put the blame for the immature players on Miniclip any more than you can put the blame on yourself. It's just a different venue for the advertisements. Jagex is a business, if they can attract paying customers from a website, they will advertise there.
  5. I think the idea about the capes sounds perfectly on base. And so does the diary rewards. Who says that we can't have more than one article of clothing per space from Achievement Diaries? GWD offers more than one type of sword. Accomplishment Capes all go in the same slot.
  6. One of the best ways that I know to make money is through smithing. If you buy coal and iron ore, and smelt them, you make a large profit. It's easy, it's fast, it's good xp.
  7. RuneScape is amazing as a low cost, low requirement game. I've played the old details on a Pentium 3 PC. And without downloading a client, what could be better?
  8. Vesuvius27: P2P
  9. One more godforsaken RC level to craft natures. I'm sick of cosmics. At least natures sell better for higher prices. Same length of time through the abyss, but meh. Finally. I have 2.143M in the bank, a good 400k was from profiting in battlestaff crafting. I think I may go for 99 crafting, but that remains to be seen. First, I'll get the quest cape. I plan on having the Fremmenik Isles and Lunar Diplomacy done by the end of the week, hopefully with another quest or two.
  10. Just a little more to go. I go back to school tomorrow, so I don't know what will happen to my playtime.
  11. I've kept on crafting. And RCing the cosmics to enchant the orbs.
  12. I've been making earth battlestaves and then alching them to train crafting. I've been crafting my own cosmics to enchant the orbs. The fruits of that effort:
  13. I spent some time last night with the master farmer. And this morning I took a break at the farming patch. Then I did Contact! Kinda difficult. My Ring of Life saved me, I didn't notice a golden scarab on the wall and walked right past it to fall into the pit of scarabs. Not fun. I used Ancients on the Giant Scarab. A friend told me blood spells are great for boss fights, he's right. I used very little sharks, and the fight was so easy. They hit high. Too bad they're useful for little else. I used the two wishes for 7k xp each to advance range, hoping to get it into the high scores and make 60 a smaller stretch. No dice, but meh. I've got a Turoth assignment I think I may range and use that to push it into the high scores. It's range or dart, so a tossup for now. Stopped by a friend's POH to borrow his gilded altar, to worship some bones I got at a Christmas drop party. Got 54 prayer. All in all a good day, and it's not even 1 o'clock yet. So I still have plenty of time to read more in the book. Does anyone read this blog, I feel like I'm talking to myself.
  14. One hell of a quest. Major pain. I had the worst time with Traeus Dayeth or however it's spelled. Died once, lost a few mystic pieces, nearly died the next try. In the end, I finished it, and I was rewarded with another quest to replace it on the list. Not the best. Didn't get much play time in today, due to the fact that I have to read the Caine Mutiny by Monday. So far, one of the worst books assigned for school.
  15. I did the Great Brain Robbery. I love that I thought of bringing a ring of life. The first time, I was preoccupied trying to pray, found out prayer is no good. Would have died if it hadn't been for my trusty ring of life. Second time, I ate. I used 24 monks. In the end I won. I have the anchor, but for the time being I'm going to hold off on repairing it, because 230k is a lot. The quest xp alone got me 53 prayer and 43 construction. I decided to spend the Great Brain Robbery's lamp on thieving, as I'm not a huge fan of the skill, though there are no consumables. I also figured out how to spend the Tail of Two Cats xp lamps. I decided one should go to herblore, and the other to crafting. Those lamps got me 47 herblore and 58 crafting, respectively. I've been working on cleaning my bank. Keeping all pots stacked, and such things. I may have a new pic soon enough.
  16. Kind of a slow quest, but: And I decided to do a little fletching to get longbows to alch to get 65 mage. Now all I need for Lunar Diplomacy is 61 crafting. Any suggestions?
  17. I must say, interesting. Yet if life is an adventure, why is there an economy?
  18. Agreed. There's very little reason to macro now, you won't gain items to sell for real cash. If there's no reason to macro, is there really a reason to have randoms to attempt to stop macroers? Half the time you don't know if the plant is for you. You don't realize if the sandwich lady is there, because she's hiding in the piles of people in Catherby.
