  1. thank you, i will keep that in mind(might add
  2. well i have just tried to go 100 teak planks(cut and make sawmill) and i found that it took 5min longer to get 100 teak planks but compared to the amount of oak planks used i think it is just round the same.
  3. keep praising me... but you might save money on oak planks but it takes almost twice as long making the planks for 99 with oak then teak
  4. that is worth adding to the guide :
  5. it is true that you can still save money compared to teak if you make your own planks, but if you think it through you would just be making about 80k more oak planks then teak planks and this will only save you about 10mil compared to my much faster and still less expensive way with teak. i did not know very much about oak doors so i didn't put them in my guide, now that you have informed me of the details then i will post them in as 74+ oak plank use
  6. i don't know if you missed this but... Larders ARE the best(unless you use my teak method) it is faster to remove and build 3 larders then it is to build 6 carved oak tables in the workshop = they are better... ffs dude they give the sae xp per plank. better leave before you prove anymore how little you know about construction
  7. typo :
  8. the guide is now 110% done!!! please inform me of any typo's :XD:
  9. aoe i got a little secret about teak and how you can use these for cheaper xp then oak(as i say in the guide, this isnt that fastest way... this is the cheapest!)
  10. Changes and Credits [hide=]June 30, 2008 - Sand_Hill, for editing this guide and adding in the bit about Fairy Rings.[/hide] Welcome Welcome to my guide on how to get most construction xp for your money. I used the Tip.It xp tables and the Tip.It construction guide for my knowledge, and no, I won't just post common knowledge; I will post a guide on how you can save money when getting construction up. NOTE: My guide is based on buying all materials (not teak). There are many way you can get 99 construction without the use of more then 1,000gp! These include mining your own limestone, and then using it. Intro: First of all, I would like to point out that my methods on how to save money will not be the fastest training, but the training which cost less then normal construction training. You should also know the material prices my guide is using. Material price list: [hide=]steel nails - 5gp ea regular logs - 100ea regular planks - 250ea oak logs - 40ea oak planks - 400 teak logs - 350ea teak planks - 1,000ea mahogany logs - 350ea mahogany planks - 2k ea soft clay - 350ea limestone bricks - 400ea iron bars - 200ea steel bars - 600ea cloth - 650ea molten glass - 1,000ea gold leaf - 130k ea marble blocks - 325k ea magic stones - 975k ea[/hide] Let's get started. Levels 1-20: I will begin at the bottom, from levels 1-20. As many know, it is quite easy to level up in this level range, so I will just make a quick walkthrough of the basics in cheap leveling. First steps: First of all, build a Parlour so that we can get started (this costs 1000 gp). You will start by building 5 crude chairs using 10 planks and 10 nails. This will get you to level 4, and will cost you 3,550 gp. Since there isn't really any other alternative, with stick with this. Now you can build a wooden bookcase. Build one of these and you will get level 5. You are now able to build a Decorative Rock(and kitchen but this is not an option since it costs money!) The Decorative Rock takes 5 limestone bricks and gives 100xp (20xp per brick), compared to to the chair, which gives 28.9xp per plank. This is not good for training, and because limestone bricks cost 400 each, you wont be building these. What to do: Just keep building bookcases until level 9. From level 1 to level 9, you will have used 34 planks and 34 steel nails. Level 1-9 cost you 9670gp. What next? Build 25 crude wooden chairs; you will now have level 15 construction! Running Total Spent: You will now have used 12,750 gp to get from level 9-15. Add this to the 9670 gp previously used, and you will now have used 22,420 gp getting level 15 construction. Now it will start to get serious. You now stand with a choice: build bookcases (18) to level 20 using 80 planks and 80 nails (total cost of 20,400 gp), or begin to use oak planks and make repair benches (18) using 36 oak planks (total cost of 14,400 gp). If you chose repair benches build a workshop, this will add 10,000 gp to your total cost (32,420 gp). Since you are very greedy, you will build 36 crude wooden chairs (you might wonder why these, but these give 0.5 more xp per plank then bookcases!) Congratulations, you have reached level 20 Construction! Total from 1-20: [hide=]- 1 parlour - 156 planks - 156 steel nails The total cost for getting 1-20 (the cheap way) is 40,780 when buying all the materials. The price also includes the fact that you got 1 new room on the way to lvl 20. You can do it cheaper for 17,380 by making all the materials yourself (planks are your only expense).[/hide] Levels 20-40: By now you will have used 40,780gp (17,380 the very cheap way). You will now make your way into the hall of greedy people; this is where many people stop doing construction since it costs far to much to level, but we wont stop until we have all the bragging rights in Runescape! We want 90+ construction without wasting one penny! We want cabbage! (oh yes, I love that guide) Well, now it is time for our new best friend, the good ol' oak. We have been able to use this since level 15, but to use it, we had to build a workshop. Because we are greedy, WE DIDN'T WASTE MONEY ON IT! If you look at the xp per material list, you will see that oak planks give twice as much xp (a bit more to be exact) than the planks and nails we just used, and guess what... It costs less the double the cash to buy them! (oak planks are 400 each; regular planks are 250 each) What should you do? Now we will build oak chairs; these use two oak planks (800gp per chair) and give 120xp (120/800 = 0.15xp per gp) We will be building these to lvl 26. To get lvl 26 you will need to build 36 oak chairs for a total cost of 28,800gp. Once you are level 26, and you can build oak armchairs. These use 1 more plank but the xp per plank is still the good ol' 60xp per plank. we welcome these with open arms since these will make our work faster. We will use oak armchairs until level 32. This will take 43 oak armchairs, and will cost 51,600gp. Add this to the 28,800 from before and we will have used 80,400 to get from lvl 20-32. Workshop Now comes the handy part, build a workshop(cost 10k with gives us a total of 90,400) Inside the workshop, you will build an oak workbench (5 planks; 300xp) which will allow us to do flatpack furniture up to lvl 40. Now, we will be building carved oak tables (6 planks; 360xp) to level 40. This takes 57 carved oak tables and will cost 136,800gp. Running Total So Far [hide=]total from lvl 20-40: - 1 workshop - 548 oak planks this brings lvl 20-40 to a total cost of 229,200gp. with the money we spend for 1-20 we have now used 259,980gp the very greedy(those who made/got all their material alone) have used 164,380gp.[/hide] Levels 40-60: You will now have used 259,980gp (164,380 if very you are very good) and it is now time for the first of the big 20. We will make some carved oak tables. We will be making these until level 42, where I will let you in on the secret of cheap teak. To get lvl 42, you will need to build 24 carved oak tables which will give you a total cost of 57,600gp. Now that we are over the small levels, we will make our way to the nearest door spot and build a quest hall for the wicked price of 25k! ARGH!! WE USED MONEY!!! Calm down, don't get a heart attack yet... Teak planks. Many say these are bad xp compared to the fact that they cost 1k ea. Those people are right! If you have 40+ woodcutting and you don't mind working for it, it will save you a ton of cash! Now you can chose a path. Path 1: In this, you cut your own teak and then make then into planks. This will cost around 500gp per plank (a bit more if you use duel rings for castle wars). You will use your planks for our secret weapon, which is the Quest Hall. path 2: Which is not building a work shop, and then build a kitchen instead(this will be faster but will cost a bit more per xp). Then build Oak Larders for the rest of your life... (stop reading if you choose this; you wont get anything from reading more) If you chose wisely and took path 1, you will be pleased to hear that you can get 0,188xp MORE per plank using teak then using oak, this will of course take longer but you will get 188xp more per 1k gp! Once you hit 47 Construction, you will be able to do it even faster, and still get 186xp more per 1k gp compared to oak planks. How, you might ask? Well, the trick is simple. Get 100 Dueling Rings (200k cost) or around 100k if you make them yourself. Teleport to Castle Wars and take out your hatchet (axe), then walk the path shown on the picture below. Cut 28 teak logs, teleport back to Castle Wars. Bank the teak... repeat. Another method is to use the Fairy Rings, with the code B K P. This teleports you near the tree, and saves you money on dueling rings. -Sand_Hill Once you got 2.8k teak, make it into planks. Now you will have shelled out 535gp per teak plank. One teak plank gives 90xp and cost you 535gp, 90/535 = 0.168gp xp per gp. One oak plank gives 60xp and costs 400gp, 60/400 = 0.15xp per gp. Already here, teak planks are better then oak, but it gets better! With your Quest Hall, you are able to put up a decoration sword from the quests you have done. Once you build these, your sword will be mounted on the wall. Unlike other items, however, you will get the sword back when you remove it. This means you can mass build it and get the extra xp that the sword gives you. Add this to the teak xp per plank. These will give xp as follows: [hide=](If you haven't done any of these quests, you can do carved oak tables to level up, and then start with a mounted Amulet of Glory) Silverlight:(must have done demon slayer) takes: -2 teak planks -1 Silverlight. xp: 187 xp per plank: 187/2 = 93,5 xp per gp: 93,5/535 = 0,174 Excalibur(must have done merlin's crystal quest) takes: -2 teak planks -1 Excalibur xp: 194 xp per plank: 97 xp per gp: 97/535 = 0,181 Darklight(must have done Shadow of the Storm) takes: -2 teak planks -1 Darklight xp: 202 xp per plank: 101 xp per gp: 101/535 = 0,188 At level 47, you are able to do the same just with an UNCHARGED amulet of glory, an anti dragonfire shield, and of course the legends cape. These gives xp per gp as follows: Anti Dragonfire Shield:(no quest) takes: -3 teak planks -1 anti dragonfire shield xp: 280 xp per plank: 93,3 xp per gp: 93,3/535 = 0,174 Amulet of Glory:(no quest) takes: -3 teak planks -1uncharged amulet of glory xp: 290 xp per plank: 96,6 xp per gp: 96,6/535 = 0,180 Legends cape:(must have done legends quest) takes: -3 teak planks -1 legends cape xp: 300 xp per plank: 100 xp per gp: 0,186 These are faster, but you wont save as much money as with the the first 3 swords. My calculations are based on the fact that you used carved oak tables to level 42, and bought a quest hall, used a mounted Darklight until lvl 47, and then a mounted Legends Cape until level 60.[/hide] Running Total So Far [hide=]Total for lvl 40-60: - 1 quest hall(250,00gp) - 144 oak planks(57,600gp) - 2283 teak planks(1,221,405gp) this comes with a total cost of 1,304,005 for getting from lvl 40-60. for lvl 1-60 we have used 1,563,985gp. a greedy person have done it for 1,542,385gp.[/hide] 60+: You have now learned how to save money on construction. once you get to level 60 you can do this all the way to 99. Here is a little calculation on how much money you save on the way to 99 (if you use my method) Mounted legends cape: From lvl 60, you will need to make 42,536 mounted Legends Capes. This takes 127,608 teak planks and 63,804,000gp to make from logs into planks. To cut 127,608 teak logs, you also need 570 rings of dueling, these will cost you 9,114,857 if you buy them 2k each or around 4,557,428 if you make them yourself. In total: 68,270,280gp(68,27mil) Oak larders: From lvl 60, you will need to make 26,585 oak larders, this takes 212,680 oak planks and will cost you 85,072,000gp. In total: 85,072,000gp(85,07mil) I just saved you 17mil! The ultimate cheap way! Here is the ultimate cheap way, for those of you who wanna be the first person to level to 99 from lvl 1, only using genie lamps! If you don't like my guide, then don't take me seriously, laugh, make your way into your 350mil mansion, and laugh again.
  11. Today i will update the picture and try to add something about new prices!

  16. like i said, i miss out on the new stuff that i added since i didn't get it in my word doc...
  17. i can confirm that you get letters for the priest of varrock... i didn't get pic though....
  18. i have tried to calc food... you can't! on 1 run i killed 15 before i needed food and on the next i killed 31! shop prices don't concern me... this is a guide to killing the tzhaar people not buying their stuff... ... I meant at what prices you can sell the item. I heard the new items have you get ALOT more tokkuls. Maybe this could even become a viable way to buy an onyx if you can get alot of weapons i do not know the new prices since i do not have 100combat to complete the hard diary tasks... but if some1 could post em i would be happy to add A typo there, says "fire cave" should read "fire cape" Also you might want to add that it's a bad idea to attack level 74 TzHaars, as this will cause all the others to team on you ^^; this is the first out cast of my guide i made it about 2 months ago and i did change that typo but i didn't change it in the word doc i had this in and i also had bout 74 and how they ARE a good way to get tokkul if you know HOW to kill them right.
  19. i have tried to calc food... you can't! on 1 run i killed 15 before i needed food and on the next i killed 31! shop prices don't concern me... this is a guide to killing the tzhaar people not buying their stuff...
  20. it got removed when the forum was updated
  21. this is the old version of my guide and i will be updating it shortly, but untill then... READ READ READ!! A dead Tzhaar is a good Tzhaar Remember! Tzhaar are people, be nice to them... ask before you kill them. Welcome Introduction Most of you have seen them, walking around in their cave as if they own the place. You have many times wondered if you should take the time to kill them for one of their so "famous" weapons, or maybe their wonderful shield. Now here is the guide that can make your dreams come true! I will let you in on the secrets of Tzhaar ownage(for you people who don't know this word it means "killing") and how to get better drops then the normal 10-20 tokkul or an uncut sapphire once in a while. Table of content: Where is it? What should i bring? What can i get? What is the secret? At the end... Where is it? The Tzhaar caves are hidden within the karamja volcano. After you climb down the rock you will find your self inside a cave with skeletons and a few gold ores. to the east you should now see a cave entrance, you might see the red and black colors(very special for Tzhaar.) Now you are in the Tzhaar cave with a great range of possible things to do. 1) Kill Tzhaar(i think this is the topic of the guide.) 2) Fight pits(just so you know.) 3) Fight caves(where you get fire cape, i don't need to tell you about this because so many other people do that). 4) Buy items. i will only tell you about one of these though. What should i bring? The most used way to kill Tzhaar is by using melee and such, but you can also use magic and ranged to get "Chicky with it" ALWAYS BRING ROW(ring of wealth) Melee. This is the outfit i use the most. Many people say that the best to bring is Guthan's but because I'm such a poor "noob" and i can't afford it you could take away rune and put in Dharok or any other melee Barrows but i don't really use barrows in Tzhaar because you some times could lose money if you don't get enough drops to cover repairs. you could also take whip instead of dragon scimitar but i find that i always need to train pure strength so i prefer this setup. you could also take any hally and use safe spots(see magic) Magic. Magic is not the best thing to use in Tzhaar, not thats its bad because it isn't. It is like with barrows IT CAN TAKE AWAY PROFIT! look at it my way... if we say you use wind blast(i have found this is the best spell to use for Tzhaar since i only take up deaths and you still high quite good/often) you would use about 20-30 runes to kill 1 Tzhaar-xil (lvl 133) with lvl 70 magic. So you would use 6-9k on 1 kill in runes and you might not even be that lucky... Well if you want to use magic then its your choice but i do not recommend it. Here is my magic outfit. you could use any magic cloth but i prefer this for melee defence(beats mystic and ghostly robes) and still having high magic attack. the safe spot. Ancient This is one of the best ways to kill Tzhaar fast, and it is also one of the most enjoyable. here is my setup for ancient. could could use other armor(as long as it have at least 50+ mage bonus in all) go to the safe spot and lure some to you useing a ranged or low lvl mage attack, then own them. or you could do this... get full prayer(you can just go into fight cave and die) and then attack every Tzhaar you can see and put on protection prayer(melee) and then kill all at once. that all about ancient. Ranged. Well rangers are much like magicians(mages) though they got one major advantage, they can pick up their arrows/knives!(mages cant pick up their wind blasts ... wow that would be cool :XD: ) So the profit on a ranger can be much greater. Here is my Ranger set up. you should use the best dragon hide you can use and you could use a bow but they are slower witch means slower profit. What can i get? Now you are ready to kill those "things" in search of the great drops, but then you stop and wonder.... "What can i get?" the answer to this i quite simple. but i would need some further explanation, so i made this wish list of the special items you can get from killing Tzhaar. the good ol' Toktz-xil-ul(obby rings) these are not the most common drop and that is believe it or not.. lucky for you!(can be sold for 5k ea on world 2, thank you jwrm22) they are hard to sell so the only real this they are used for is for ranged xp or to sell to the Tzhaar weapons store. the Toktz-xil-ek(obby dagger) is also a "rare" drop and should just get sold off to store for tokkul Toktz-xil-ak(obby sword) will ether be sold to a new p2p(member) who wants to try something new or to the weapon store Tzhaar-ket-em(obby mace) this is not a drop and can only be bought from store. Tzhaar-ket-om(obby maul) this is the most uesd obby weapon! many pures use this for pk'ing(only pure strenghts) can many times be sold on the forum for 100k or to store for tokkul Toktz-mej-tal(obby staff) not really a drop that is likely to come but if you get it you should have no problem with selling it on forum to some1 who wants to be special(the staff is quite rare compared to other items) Obsidian cape(obby cape) one of the best capes in the game so this is worth keeping or selling on forum, if not then there is always the weapon store. Toktz-ket-xil(obby shield) a very good shield for for everyone, can only be dropped by Tzhaar-key (lvl 149) quite easy to sell on forum because they are always in demand. This should clear things up a bit. What is the secret? the secret to killing Tzhaar is to get as many kills without getting killed your self or even losing hit points, you might say that is easy but if you are level 75 or under it can be quite hard not to waste food and there by lowering profit. the trick to this is GROUP!! the Tzhaar caves are multi combat so lower level player might want to find some1 their own level or lower(so they still got chance to get kills) and then kill the Tzhaar with. they could also just use safe spots as this is much more secure. At the end... that's it this guide is now over and you will now know just how to own those noobs in the Tzhaar cave. People i want to thank: The darkdj01 Lord erkki93 Serephurus jwrm22 If you got something i forgot to post or simple found a typo(ARGHHHH!) then post it and I'll have a look.
  22. i like em, done all easy and doing all medium atm
  23. i personly think this should be AOW \ great "guide" very well made and helps alot. 10/10
  24. i know 5 people who got crackers and one of them got 2 so that makes 6 now think how many people i dont know
  25. try killing greater demon and fire giants... i don't have room for the gems!!! i get like 1 gem in every 5 fire giant kills
