I've been reading a lot of comments about the Eurocup lately and they're pretty funny. They're always talking about how their team is gonna "rip apart" the other team's defense (which means, what, scoring 2 goals?), or how x game didn't matter because the players were in the wrong mindset because of y, or that their opponents will lose because they've been having trouble scoring (every team has trouble scoring). It's all so ridiculous

    1. See my response to Kalphite; it's not homophobia. However, to take things a step further, I don't really see why we're splitting hairs here when the end result is the same regardless of their sexual orientation. They still feel bad about themselves either way. With that said, why does one group get sympathy whereas the other doesn't? It's hypocritical. Either tell both groups to grow a pair, or lend your sympathy to both groups since they're both getting their feelings hurt. 3. I have no clue what you're trying to say here, can you rephrase that? 1. Honestly, if you can't understand the difference between feeling persecuted and feeling mislabeled, I don't know what to say. 3. Your friends might let you call them [bleep] because they're afraid to stand up to you.

    1. You being offended by being called a [bleep] comes from your personal homophobia. A gay person being offended comes from fear of being persecuted. They are not the same. 3. If you have somebody's consent, you can call them whatever you want in private, but there is no such thing as consent when there is fear or pressure.

This is demonstrably untrue. http://www.rsdb.org/race/whitesWe should hit up the mods and get "caulkie" censored then, if you're so offended by it

If you're a straight white male, there are no slurs that can be directed towards you, so you will never understand how a gay person feels when they're called a [bleep], or how a black person feels when they're called a [racist term], so you just have to listen to them when they tell you not to say it.

In a positive context. You're free to disagree with the use of it in any context, but there are clearly gay people who disagree with you like Milo. I'm just saying, none of the gay subs throw that word around

Plus they refer to everyone as cucks. Should tell you all you need to know about those people.

You're completely full of crap, the sub has never been anti gay. Bigotry is gunning down 50 people because seeing a gay couple kiss made you uncomfortable. 99% of Afghani Muslims support Sharia Law, under which being gay is illegal and usually punishable by death. Believe it or not, bigotry has a much wider definition than mass murder

/r/the_donald was so gross today. They've always been gross people who have openly been horrible towards GSMs, and only now do they show any (thinly veiled) support when it allows them to condemn Islam. It's just a bunch of bigoted [wagon] who hate Muslims more than they hate gays.

He was a Muslim and you're 100% right. It's really upsetting because now all the conservatives are speaking out against the shooter and trying to shove the fact that it was a hate crime against the LGBT community under the rug. I was with my family this afternoon and they had the Fox news coverage on and not once did they mention that it was a gay nightclub. The Liberal Media coverage has been far worse. It seems the modern left would rather defend Islam than protect LGBT people. It's awful how so many people want to either a) condemn a religion (while ignoring how damaging the other Abrahamic religions are) or b) pat themselves on the backs for being tolerant and open minded, but so few people actually want to protect the people who are in real danger right now.

Hoping for the best. We decided not to go

I was making plans to see Allison Weiss and Soupy in Orlando with my sister tonight. If you guys follow the "what are you listening to" thread, you know I'm a pretty big Allison fan and my sister is a huge Soupy fan, but we're terrified of going to the show tonight. If you guys aren't aware, Allison is gay and there will be a lot of LGBT people there, so I'm just hoping everyone who makes it there stays safe. Security will be doubled and everyone will be patted down, but I still have a really bad feeling about it.

Really shaken by what happened in Orlando last night

When I was a kid, Pokemon and Yugioh were on right when I got home from school. I was a pretty big Pokemon fan, so my mom let me watch it before I had to do my homework. So, I pretended to like Yugioh too, so that I could watch tv for a full hour before doing my homework :shades:
  17. Honestly not understanding why everybody is voting for Mila. Scarlett is way hotter

Idk if this happens in Estonia, but in America, a restaurant manager is expected to go around to each table and make sure they're having a good time, that the service is alright, and that the food/drinks are all good. If you organize any event with more than a handful of people, you have the same job. Go up to each group, introduce yourself, talk about the event a little bit, make sure they've tried the food and drinks, make sure they know to help themselves to more if they want, and let them know about any future events that you're planning. If it's more of a party than an event, you should try to introduce groups to each other, especially groups that are closer to the fringes of your social circle. Make sure that nobody else is sitting on the sidelines. Try to chat with each group for a bit. Just don't make awkward conversation. If you're at an event that you aren't hosting and you don't really know anyone there, just pick a group and ask if you can hang with them for a bit since you don't know anyone there. As long as you're cool (and you probably are), they shouldn't have a problem with that. As for having people congratulate you, wish you happy birthday, etc., it comes down to what you put in. If you wish someone happy birthday, they'll probably wish you happy birthday when the time comes. If you congratulate someone for graduating, they'll congratulate you when they see that you're graduating. As for finding friends as adults, good luck lol. Almost everyone that I talk to is either related to me or someone I know from online. That was not the case when I was in college.

Umm, am I missing something here? Mandolin as I know it is a musical instrument and I don't know how you can injure yourself with it with or without a hand guard... That was my bad. The slicer is called a mandoline. The instrument is a mandolin.
  20. They're playing Fest this year
