It's nice cuz it does a better job taking energy generation into account. Kabutops w/ fury cutter wasn't ranked real high on other sheets cuz they didn't take into account that fury cutter generates a ton of energy, despite its low dps. Energy generation was nerfed though, so the list from earlier is outdated. The thing that stands out most is that Victreebell is the 2nd best grass type now lol Edit: I also wish it wasn't so hard to evolve things like bellsprouts, oddishes, and nidos. Like, they're fairly common, but getting 125 candies takes way too long. At this rate, I might be able to get a vileplume by the time I hit level 30.

I'm just holding out for dueling. That's where the real fun is & I'm at 76 in my pokedex. There's like no variety here.

Link to the chart? I'm guessing true DPS takes STAB into account I evolved a starmie today since they're the second best water Pokemon now, and it ended up with a crap moveset. My 800 something one has the best moveset though so I gotta try it out against some high level flareons tomorrow

New Pineapple Thief song. They're always so close to being worth listening to (I know I've complained about them a bunch of times in this thread). I think Gavin Harrison is on the drums in this song (the ex-Porcupine Tree drummer), and he does a great job. Here's the other song they've released for this album. It's classic Pineapple Thief. The first half sucks, the second half is really good.

Poison jab does 15 damage every 1.5s while defending, which is 10 DPS. Ember has 9.5 DPS normally, so it has 11.4 DPS against bug types cuz super effective attacks only do 1.2x damage. That should allow a beedrill to be competitive against a flareon. So the real explanation: Flareon sucks balls in this game and type advantage isn't enough to save it, and CP barely matters Not that a beedrill should be anywhere near as good as a flareon, but that's why

The problem people present is that women are making less because of discrimination. Why do you want men and women to have equal representation in every field? My guess is you believe that in the nature vs nurture argument for why we behave the way we do you lean heavily on the nurture side. What if your wrong. What if biological differences do affect our behavior in subtle but key ways? And to my original point. You don't know these answers any more than these professors do. Its just this ideology is trendy right now. I'm happy to argue this on forums among equals but to be preached this in a classroom leaves me fuming. Hopefully I expressed this well enough even if you disagree with my stances on these issues. If you want to know why women are underrepresented in the industry, ask any of the women in your classes. From the way you talk about women, I bet the answer will surprise you. Hint: it's not because they're subtly worse at engineering than men are.

Seems pretty dumb to pretend that the wage gap isn't important because women take more time off of work & don't work in higher paying fields. Like...that's the whole problem. Women and men shouldn't be taking different amount of time off, and women should have equal representation in every field

Yo ring world, if you wanna play around with the pokemon go APIs and learn a little about how games work, I have a project for you. Use the live pokemon locations & pokestop data to create a desktop pokemon game with real world data. I.E. do everything you planned on doing, except maintain game state on your servers (or locally) instead of using Niantic accounts. It'll be a lot easier than working around anti-cheat systems and you'll still learn a lot.

Man, I just spent 3 hours on campus sitting at a spot with quadruple lures. Met an old friend, made some new friends. Great time. I love this game

The actual logic isn't that bad. Figure out how to interface with the game (which shouldn't be too hard, people have already done that), then it's just pathfinding and spoofing the GPS. But you're going to run into a lot of trouble with networking. There are a lot of ways to [bleep] that up and get all of your clients banned.

They're banning pretty much everyone who teleports far away from their home, and most GPS spoofers (i.e. the ones used by devs to test their apps) are pretty easy to detect. But there's no real way to detect if someone teleported to the pokestop half a mile away from their house. Especially cuz they only sample location data every 30 seconds, which ends up being every 60 seconds or so because of server lag. There's enough error in their measurements that you can get away with quite a bit. But cheating in a game cuz you don't wanna walk around is neckbeard as [bleep].

It's a pokemon spawn point & I hit level 20 a couple days ago and I'm still at like 15k xp. Waiting until I have 45 evolutions ready to go before I pop a lucky egg (I think I have like 15-20ish, but I can't check cuz the servers are down).
