I don't know, personally I'm for the death penalty but only from an economic standpoint and if it can be carried out efficiently. For example, with a person like the Charleston shooter who is clearly guilty and even admits it himself why shouldn't he receive the death sentence? The alternative option is that we, speaking generally for the tax paying people, bear the burden of supporting this man through his life and paying for all of his meals, medical visits, clothing, etc... He honestly has no chance at parole and would have received a sentence which would keep him in jail for the remainder of his living days anyway, so why prolong the cost? That being said I feel like it should almost be more of a clause that can be provoked rather than a sentence to seek. Try the person for whatever crime they have committed, once it becomes clear beyond any shred of doubt - in this instance the accused's own admittance of guilt, especially with no remorse - that he was aware of his actions and that he will spend the remainder of his days in some form of incarceration, then the crown or another party could start a process to have him sentenced to death. I don't want innocent people, or people who truly regret their crime and may have another chance at life to die but even a jail sentence does nothing to a man who considers his actions right and won't take the time in jail to reflect on his crime or reform himself. Cuz killing people is whack

“I would like to make it crystal clear that I do not regret what I did. I am not sorry. I have not shed a tear for the innocent people I killed. I do feel sorry for the innocent white children forced to live in this sick country and I do feel sorry for the innocent white people that are killed daily at the hands of the lower races. I have shed a tear of self pity for myself. I feel pity that I had to do what I did in the first place. I feel pity that I had to give up my life because of a situation that should have never existed.” I'm not a fan of the death penalty, but I'm not going to argue against it after reading that

I pretty much wrapped up the dungeoneering thing I was working on. I added a basic implementation of combat and that's enough for me. Considering that I don't plan on releasing it, I'm not going to polish it any more. So now my next idea is to create castle wars, except that it'll be a multiplayer web game instead of a desktop app. I think it could be fun. I worked on the map today It kinda sucks because I'm not a very good artist, but you'll notice that I increased the tile size from 25 to 50 px. That will allow me to have more detailed characters, which is important because I want the player to be able to wear different types of gear. Castle wars just isn't very fun unless you have someone ice barraging everyone. I think I'm gonna get into contact a couple of my more artistic friends and see if I can get some decent-looking art

That's a great idea. I would recommend steering away from Mongo though since it's notoriously lousy to work with when you have relational data. I recommend using Postgre, but there are a ton of good options out there. Or, honestly, you could get by with just redis.

I made an attempt to add a player sprite (it's wearing a primal chestplate and a shadow silk hood) It looks a lot better than the stupid white square, but man I need to get a lot better at drawing. And I need to figure out how to make it stand out better against the background

Lol I have a memory leak how the [bleep] do you debug a memory leak in javascript ??? I have relied on garbage collectors for too long nvm I figured it out 5 minutes later. I was adding everything to the stage and the stage held onto the references of every sprite I created so the GC never removed them. Now I just clear the stage every frame and I use like no memory

The probability of rolling n in 1..8 is 10^n * 9 / 2.1b. When n = 0 it's 10/2.1b and when n = 9 it's 1.1b/2.1b. So 0: 4.6566128730773926e-9 1: 0.000004190951585769653% 2: 0.00004190951585769653% 3: 0.00041909515857696533% 4: 0.004190951585769653% 5: 0.04190951585769653% 6: 0.41909515857696533% 7: 4.190951585769653% 8: 41.90951585769653% 9: 52.38095238095239% Btw a good function to weight your distribution to the high end is sqrt. In your case, generate a number between 0 and 100, then take the sqrt of it
