Why is this sounding more and more like Lord of the Rings... Does it? I can't really see the similarity. We're going to fight a god and someone who wants to become one... we have the apocalypse... no, can't see it, sorry. Have you ever seen Return of the King?It sounds alot like that because there are few of us and we are about to try and kill a massive number of monsters whith a likelyhood of failing.... Can you se it now? I suppose in a way it is similar, but a small group of people fighting against massive amounts of foes is a recurring theme in most fantasy movies and games. The only examples I can think of that are similar to The Lord of the Rings are the forests of Isadafar, Mirthril armour, and Dwarves. Jagex not only borrows ideas from LOTR, but from hundreds of fantasy and fairy tale stories. However, as far as I know, the Wise Old Man is unique. Yes, there have been plenty of wise men in stories, but never was one so... indepth as him. Adamants LOTR as well - but not stronger than mith in books....

Well, the Oracle is pretty close to the Monastery, the monks there are Saradominists, the Stone Circle isn't too far away... But apart from that, no. I can't see anything else. Sorry to be rather brief, but I fail to see any connection between the monks and the Wise Old Man. In my opinion, it's some sort of strange joke by Jagex. Ah well, it was worth a try ...

I was recharging my prayer when I noticed this - a candle on the floor... Look as the carpet as the waxy bit(forgot what its called ROFL) and then the shadows as a flame because there is a small light shadow near the carpet(the red bit on pictures) and a darker shadow for the yellow bit. :shock:
