I've worked a lot on it so be sure to comment! : This is my first guide, so some critism will also be appreciated. That aside, in this guide, you will learn everything you need to know to be a "pro miner". From Location to Gems, it's all here. You will learn about how to get your level up higher, about gems, ores, pickaxes and more. [2.0] Pickaxes To start off, you will need a pickaxe to mine. You can get a free pick axe from the mining tutor in Lumbridge East Mine. (South of the Lumbridge Graveyard) [2.1] How to choose a pickaxe Each pickaxe has some mining requirements. Bronze -- Level 1 Mining Iron -- Level 1 Mining Steel -- Level 6 Mining Mithril -- Level 21 Mining Adamant -- Level 31 Mining Rune -- 41 Mining It is best to use the pickaxe with the highest requirements that you can use; the better you pickaxe, the more ores you get and the less you will get outmined. [2.2] Broken Pickaxes Sometimes when you are mining, your pick axe will break! But don't worry, it may only be two clicks from repair. Your pickaxe will break if you mine a bubbling rock, so beware! One way your pickaxe can break, is if the head comes off the handle. To check, just go to the equip screen, if you pickaxe handle has no head, look on your mini-map for a red dot. The red dot is most likely the pickaxe head. Just pick it up and use the head with the handle (or vice versa). Another way your pickaxe can break is if it bends. This is a little harder to get repaired. First, use the lumbridge home teleport (); next, go to Bob's Axes and repair it for a small fee. Bronze -- Free Iron -- Free Steel -- 17gp Mithril -- 43gp Adamant -- 107gp Rune -- 1100gp [3.0] Ores Now that you are ready to mine, you need to know how and what to mine. First, you should prospect the rock; buy right clicking on the rock and choosing "prospect". Your character is looking at the rock to see what it contains. Next, look at you mining level to see if you can mine it or not. (Click on the pickaxe in the skill screen and the mini-mining guide will pop-up) Finally, just click on the ore to begin mining. [3.1] Choosing what to mine Now, to choose what to mine. Below is a little chart to show you should mine at your current mining level. (Experience Points Based) Tin/Copper -- Level 1 - 25 Iron -- Level 20 - 35 Silver -- Level 25 - 40 Coal -- Level 35 - 50 Gold -- Level 45 - 60 Mithril -- Level 60+ Adamant -- 75+ Rune -- 90+ If you do go ahead mining once you can mine something, it will take longer because people will outmine you. :notalk: [4.0] Selling Now that you've got some ores, you can make lots of money from them! Below is a chart that will tell you some price ranges to sell within. Clay -- 15 - 40 Tin -- 15 - 40 Copper -- 15 - 40 Iron -- 90 - 115 Silver -- 250 - 350 Coal -- 150 - 200 Gold -- 350 - 500 Mithril -- 300 - 450 Adamant -- 900 - 1100 Rune -- 9000 - 13000 [5.0] Gems Sometimes when you are mining it may take a while to mine it, longer than usual. This is when you most likely will get a gem. There are four gems that you can mine. Below is a chart of all of the gems and a price range to sell them for. Usually has 1 defense and high strength or range+mage, allowing for higher hits and lower combat. Mainly used for player killing. Okay, great, thanks for all of your help! :thumbsup:
