Thanks, couldn't of done it without you! Added your things, thanks for saying it was good! Thanks squiggy. Whoa, one of the best? Wouldn't say that lol. But thanks. I'll add hide tags soon, thanks for the suggestion. Hehe, thanks fubby. \ Ok, I'll do them corrections now, thanks. I find my route is very efficent, takes less then 7 minutes. Chaos druids in Ardy, I have yet to see another person there. I might add the yanille guide, but I'd rather get level 82 theiving first. (is that the level?) But thanks for the suggestion. About levelling up, I might add that, but its hard to say about the costs, since (if) you are following the guide, its all DIY and the prices are always changing. Thanks for giving a honest opinion. I plan to slowly update my 2nd collecting, go in more detail.

[hide=Status of guide renewal]UPDATE: Going to update the guide with new glamorous images and maybe even a new section or two. Will try to update old/out of date sections too! Watch this space! Busy at the moment, will try to update as soon as I have time. Update: Lol, broken promises ftl! This guide has so much potential to get better, it is underdated lacking alot of methods now. This will be updated in the future. >.<! I've being busy irl, and not very intrested to do much DIY and research. But I understand people like the guide even though it is a very poor guide (in my own eyes, I am my wrost critque heh?) it will be updated. :P[/hide] Table of contents 1.0 Introduction. 1.1 A Choice 2.0 The Basics & exp Rates. 2.1 The Herbs 2.2 The Potions 2.3 The lower combat potions 2.4 The anti-poisons 2.5 The stat restores 2.6 The stat boosters 2.7 The higher combat potions 2.8 The poisons 2.9 Gods Potions 2.10 Other Potions 3.0 Useful Quests. 4.0 Obtaining Vials of water. 4.1 Shilo Village General Store [*jtuqz9]4.2 Ardougne General Store 5.0 Obtaining Herbs 5.1 Farming Herbs mini-guide 5.2 Chaos Druids 5.3 Aberrant Spectres 6.0 Obtaining Secondary Ingredients 6.1 Eye of newt 6.2 Unicorn Horn 6.3 Limpwurt Root 6.4 Chocolate Bar 6.5 White Berry 6.6 Toad Leg 6.7 Snape Grass 6.8 Mort Myre Fungi 6.9 Blue dragon scale 7.0 Levelling 8.0 Comparsions 9.0 Finale words and credits Introduction Hello, welcome to my first ever guide. Herblore is a very misunderstood skill. It has a lot of uses, ranging from healing Hitpoints (Saradomin Brews.) To concoctions to help kill vampryes! (Guthix balance.) Using this guide I plan to help you with, [*:2tjtuqz9]Reasons to train Herblore. [*:2tjtuqz9]Self efficiency. [*:2tjtuqz9]Gathering seconds (used to make potions) and comparing with the Grand exchange. [*:2tjtuqz9]Profit using Herblore. You might need a high attention span for this guide, it is long! Please, enjoy the guide! Note: I was inspired to write this guide from the guide (By Lavaownz, The Ultimate Guide to Herblore.) that got lost in the Forums roll-back and is no longer readable. My information and images is from myself, the help of Tip.it, the knowledge base and Runescape Wiki. A choice Before you wish to read this guide, you must answer the following question if you are planning to train herblore. Do you want profit or speed? By choosing profit: [*:2tjtuqz9]You gather most of your supplies yourself. [*:2tjtuqz9]You choose to use my guide. The pros of that: [*:2tjtuqz9]It all pays off in the end with spending next to nothing. [*:2tjtuqz9]Great satisfaction. The cons of that: [*:2tjtuqz9]It will take awhile to gather the supplies. [*:2tjtuqz9]It can get tedious at times. (Try to keep it as fun as possible!) By choosing speed: [*:2tjtuqz9]You buy all your supplies from the GE. The pros of that: [*:2tjtuqz9]It is fast! The cons of that: [*:2tjtuqz9]It will cost a lot. Now decide what you are going to do, if you have a high income, (91 runecrafting or a high slayer level.) you could buy your supplies, but you need to be able to suffer the loss of a lot of cash. If you are buying your supplies, this guide isn't really for you. This is for the DIY'ers mainly. The Basics & exp Rates Lets get started with the basics. To make a potion, you need a vial of water. You need your primary ingredient, which is, in most cases; a herb. You use your herb with your vial of water. Once this happens, you are given a Unfinished Potion. Or <name of herb> (unf). Then you need your secondary ingredient, which depends on the potion it is. (For example, you need a Toadflax Herb and a Crushed nest for a Saradomin Brew, provided you have the level or assist from someone.) > = > = Vial of water > Toadflax = Toadflax potion (unf) > crushed birds nest = Saradomin Brew. > = Empty Birds nest > Pestle and mortar = Crushed nest. Another tool used in herblore is a Pestle and Mortar. It is used for grinding up certain items for making up potions. (These include: Bird nests, Chocolate bars, Goat Horns and other items.) The Herbs The herbs; of course herblore wouldnt be it without them. Here is a list of the herbs used in Herblore. Also I have the exp rate for cleaning them from a Grimy form to a Cleaned form. [hide=The Herbs and info on each.] Guam Leaf The newbies herb, used to train at low levels, also used in a few quests. It requires a level of 3 herblore to clean. It gives 2.5 exp for cleaning. Marrentill This herb is also used for lighting incense burners in a POH. It requires a level of 5 herblore to clean. It gives 3.75 exp for cleaning. Tarromin This herb is needed for Serum207. (Requires Shades of Mortton.) It is a cheap potion to make for herblore. It requires a level of 11 herblore to clean. It gives 5 exp for cleaning. Harralander Used for Heroes Quest to make an oily rod. It requires a level of 20 herblore to clean. It gives 6 exp for cleaning. Ranarr Weed A very in-high demand herb. (And most likely always will be.) It is used to make the Prayer Potion. Great herb to farm if you are getting your herbs via Farming, It requires a level of 25 herblore to clean. It gives 7.5 exp for cleaning. Toadflax This herb is used to make the potion Saradomin Brew. It is usually used by herblorists going for level 99 Herblore. Great herb to farm for profit, also for training Herblore via Farming. It requires a level of 30 Herblore to clean. It gives 8 exp for cleaning. Spirit Weed Not a widely used herb. It is used to make the Summoning Potion. It requires a level of 35 Herblore to clean. It gives 7.8 exp for cleaning. Irit Leaf Our first herb of the Super three. This herb is generally used to make the Super Attack Potion. It requires a level of 40 Herblore to clean. It gives 9 exp for cleaning. Avantoe This herb is generally used to make Super Energy Potion. It requires a level of 48 Herblore to clean. It gives 10 exp for cleaning. Kwuarm The second herb of the Super three, this herb is generally used to make the Super Strength Potion. It requires a level of 54 Herblore to clean. It gives 11.25 exp for cleaning. Snapdragon A highly used herb. It is used to make the Super Restore Potion, which is very popular for Boss Monster Hunting. (Usually at the Dagannoth Kings) It requires a level of 63 Herblore to clean. It gives 11.8 exp for cleaning. Cadantine The third herb of the Super three, this herb is generally used to make the Super Defence Potion. It requires a level of 65 Herblore. It gives 12.5 exp for cleaning. Lantadyme This herb requires a level of 67 Herblore to clean. It gives 13 exp for cleaning. Dwarf Weed This is the highest level herb you can get from a monster drop. It requires a level of 70 to clean. It gives 13.75 exp for cleaning. Torstol Last of our (ordinary) herbs. It requires a level of 75 Herblore to clean. It gives 15 exp for cleaning. Special Herbs (From left to right.) Ardrigal, Rogue's purse, Sito foil, Snake weed, and Volencia moss. Used for the quest, Jungle Potion. They are only obtainable on Karamja. Snake weed and Rouges purse is also used to make Relicym's balm potion. (Unlocked in Zorge Flesh Eaters.) Snake weed is also used as a Secondary Ingredient for the Sanfew serum Potion. Goutweed This herb is not used for any potions. Instead you can exchange it for random herbs from Sanfew, in Taverley. It is obtained from the Troll storeroom in the Troll Stronghold. Also you can get it from the Tai Bwo Wannai Cleanup mini game.[/hide] The Potions Now that we had a look at the herbs, lets take a look at the potions. We will be looking, what is needed to make the potion, at the effects that happen when drunk and the XP rates. I will be grouping some potions. (All potion groups I mention, I will be naming from Left to Right from the pictures.) [hide=Potions and info on each.] The lower combat potions Here we have the Attack, Strength and Defence Potions. When drunk, they give 12.5% increase to the their stat. For the attack potion: Level 3 Herblore to make, Guam and eye of newt is needed to make. Gives 25 exp for making. For the strength potion: Level 12 Herblore to make, Tarromin and Limpwurt Root is needed to make. It is infact, the only F2P potion! Gives 50 exp for making. For the defence potion: Level 30 Herblore to make, Ranarr Weed and White berries is needed to make. (Highly recommended that you avoid to make this potion.) Gives 75 exp for making. The Anti-poisons Here we have the Anti poison, the super anti poison, the antidote (+) and the antidote (++). These potions make you immune from poison and stop it if you have been poisoned; the stronger the potion the longer the effect lasts. For the anti poison: Level 5 herblore to make, Marrentill and Ground Unicorn Horn is needed to make. Gives 37.5 exp for making. Shortest immunity from this potion. For the super anti poison: Level 48 Herblore to make, Irit leaf and Ground Unicorn Horn is needed to make. Gives 106.3 exp for making. For the antidote (+): Level 68 Herblore to make, Coconut milk (no water needed) Toadflax, and Yew tree roots is needed to make. Gives 155 exp for making. For the antidote (++): Level 79 Herblore to make, Coconut milk (no water needed) Irit leaf and Magic tree roots is needed to make. Gives 177.5 exp for making. Gives longest immunity from poison. The stat restores Here are the potions that are used to get your stats back to normal, so you can stay at a certain task/monster for a lot longer! The three most used there are the, prayer potions. (From a variety of many things, would be a very long list.) Super energy potion (For generally getting around without having to walk!) and Super restore potion. (Mostly used by Boss Monster Hunters.) The potions are: Stat restore, energy potion, prayer restore potion, summoning potion, super energy potion and super restore potion. For the stat restore: Level 22 Herblore to make, Harralander and red spiders eggs needed to make. Gives 62.5 exp for making, it restores all combat stats (not including prayer, summoning or hit points or non-combats. For the energy potion: Level 26 Herblore to make, Harralander and chocolate dust needed to make. This potion gives 67.5 exp for making, restore 10% of energy. For the prayer restore potion: Level 38 Herblore to make, Ranarr and Snape Grass needed to make. Gives 87.5 exp for making. One of Runescapes most used potion. Always in demand. For the summoning potion: Level 40 Herblore to make, Spirit Weed and Cockatrice egg needed to make. Gives 92 exp for making. Not a widely used potion, ever since JaGex buffed up Super Restore Potions to also restore summoning. Still can be used if you dont need the other super restore effect! For the Super energy potion: Level 52 Herblore to make, Avantoe and Mort Myre Fungi needed to make. Gives 117.5 exp for making. This potion restores 20% of your energy. For the Super restore potion: Level 63 Herblore to make, Snapdragon and Red Spiders eggs needed to make. This potion gives 142.5 exp for making. A brilliant potion, its effect is that it restores all non-combat and combat stats to max if they were to fall. Doesnt affect Hit points. It also gives a 33% pray back. The stat boosters The stat boosters, not really a widely used group of potions, besides the ranging potion which is slightly hard to purchase. Agility potion, combat potion, fishing potion, hunter potion, magic essence potion, ranging potion and the magic potion. (Note, all these boosters are only temporary For the agility potion: Level 34 Herblore to make, Toadflax and Toads legs needed to make. Gives 80 exp for making. This potion gives +3 agility. For the combat potion: Level 36 Herblore to make, Harralander and ground Goat horn needed to make. This potion gives 84 exp can give +3-+12 to attack and strength, depending on level, should be used more. But the 2nd is tedious to obtain. For the fishing potion: Level 50 Herblore to make, Avantoe and Snape Grass needed to make. Gives 112.5 exp for making. Gives +3 fishing. For the hunter potion: Level 53 Herblore to make, Avantoe and Ground Kebbit Teeth dust needed to make. Gives 120 exp for making. Gives +3 hunter. For the magic essence potion: Level 57 Herblore to make, Star flower and Gorak claw powder needed to make. This potion gives 130 exp for making. Gives +3 magic, used in the quest: Fairy tale part II: Cure a Queen. The 2nd is annoying and tedious to obtain. For the ranging potion: Level 72 Herblore to make, Dwarf weed and Wine of Zamorak needed to make. Gives 162.5 exp for making, the 2nd is tedious to obtain. This potion gives +10% range, good for speeding up your killing using range. For the magic potion: Level 76 Herblore to make, Lantadyme and Potato cactus needed to make. Gives 172.5 exp for making. Gives +4 magic. The 2nd is tedious to obtain! The Higher level combat potions (aka super set.) The famous super set. The potions, when combined, make killing a heck of a lot faster. These are very popular with slayers, these potions each give +20% to there stat. We have the, super attack, super strength and the super defence. For the super attack: Level 45 Herblore to make, Irit leaf and eye of newt needed to make. This potion gives 100 exp For the super strength: Level 55 Herblore to make, Kwuarm and limpwurt root needed to make. Gives 125 exp for making. For the super defence: Level 66 Herblore to make, Cadantine and white berries needed to make. Gives 150 exp for making. The poisons The three potions that are used to really help speed up a kill. They are: Weapon poison weapon poison (+) and Weapon poison (++). The potions can be used on arrows, daggers and spears. For the weapon poison: Level 60 Herblore to make, Kwuarm and ground blue dragon scale needed to make. This potion gives 137.5 exp for making. For the weapon poison (+): Level 73 Herblore to make, Coconut milk (no water needed) cactus spine and red spiders eggs. This potion gives 165 exp for making. For the weapon poison (++): Level 82 Herblore to make, Coconut milk (no water needed) nightshade and poison ivy berries. Gives 190 exp for making. Both 1st and 2nd ingredients are hard to obtain. Poison ivy berries are only obtainable from farming. Gods Potions Here we are, the two potions named after RuneScape gods. (Not including Guthixs balance, as there is quests required for that one.) But here are the Zamorak and Saradomin Brews. Each with very different effects For the Zamorak Brew: Level 78 Herblore to make, Torstol and jangerberries needed to make. This potion gives 175 exp for making. The effects are; -10% Hit points yes, this potion takes away hit points, be careful when using this potion. Also takes -10% defence, but gives +15% strength, +20% attack and a nice +10% prayer. For the Saradomin Brew: Level 81 Herblore to make, Toadflax and crushed birds nest needed to make. This potion gives 180 exp for making. This potion is widely used by Boss Monster Hunters. It is a potion used to level 99 herblore. It decreases strength, attack, magic and range by -10%. It gives +20% defence and +15% of hit points. Used in duo with the super restore potion, its one heck of a combo! Other Potions Here are the potions that dont fit in with the other groups, and are in a single group to themselves. These include: Relicyms Balm, Serum 207, Guthix Balance, Blamish oil, super fishing explosive, Sanfews serum and anti-fire potion. For the Relicyms Balm: Level 8 Herblore to make, Rogues Purse and snake weed needed to make. Gives 40 exp for making. Used to cure the disease effect. This potion is unlocked after completing Zorge Flesh eaters quest. For the Serum 207: Level 15 Herblore to make, tarromin and ashes needed to make. This potion gives 50 exp for making. A cheap efficient potion to make, yet it is debateable with some. It cannot be noted so it is hard to get rid of. For the Guthix Balance: Level 22 Herblore to make, Stat restore potion garlic and silver dust is needed to make. Gives 50 exp for making. It is used to help kill vampryes. For the Blamish oil: Level 25 Herblore to make, Harralander and Blamish snail slime needed to make. This potion gives 80 exp for making. Used in heroes quest. For the super fishing explosive: Level 31 Herblore to make, Guam and rubium needed to make. This potion gives 55 exp for making. This potion is unlocked after completing Kenniths concerns quest. For the Sanfews Serum: Level 65 Herblore to make, super restore potion, ground unicorn horn, snakeweed and nail beast nails needed to make. This potion gives 160 exp for making. It is a super restore, a anti poison and a Relicyms balm all in one. Three in one, very good, but, the nail beast nails, are hard to obtain. For the anti fire potion: Level 69 Herblore to make, Lantadyme and ground blue dragon scale needed to make. Gives 157.5 exp for making. Full protection against dragon breath. (Provided you have the anti dragon/dragonfire shield.) The effect lasts 5 minutes+, for each dose. You cannot pile the effect. (Drinking 4 dose of the potion for 20 minutes immunity, it won't work.)[/hide] Useful Quests Here is a list of Quests that can prove useful for Herblore. [*:2tjtuqz9]Druidic Ritual This Quest is mandatory to unlock the Herblore skill. It gives you 250 Herblore XP which puts you to level three. [*:2tjtuqz9]Jungle Potion - Gives 775 Herblore XP upon completion. Great for starter Herblorists, also is needed for other quests that unlocks more in Herblore. [*:2tjtuqz9]Shades of Mortton - Unlocks the potion called Serum 207, a cheap costing potion, useful for levelling Herblore. Gives 2000 Herblore XP, which is also good for beginners. (Note you need level 15 Herblore to start this Quest!) [*:2tjtuqz9]Eadgars Ruse (Note, Death Plateau and Troll Stronghold, which gives two XP lamps both have 10,000 XP, great for herblore, are also required for this quest.) 11,000 Herblore XP and also unlocks the Goutweed storage room mini-game is unlocked, which can be fun. [*:2tjtuqz9]My Arms Big Adventure If you plan to farm your herbs this quest is highly suggested! It unlocks a herb farming patch which doesnt get diseased! Also a hefty 10,000 Herblore XP. [*:2tjtuqz9]One Small favour Another two XP lamps from this Quest, both aswell have 10,000 XP. Obtaining Vials of water Now, lets get into the gathering part of Herblore. You can buy vials of water from the Grand Exchange, but I will still include (cheaper) ways to obtain. Vial of Water Price Graph. There are three methods of collecting vials of water efficiently: [*:2tjtuqz9]Shilo Village General Store. [*:2tjtuqz9]Ardougne General Store. Shilo Village General Store Here is the first (and in my opinion, the most efficient.) method. You will need to have completed Shilo Village Quest in order to do this method. I also recommend having Level 52 Summoning for the Spirit Terrorbird, also a few of its scrolls. (Tireless run.) To get to Shilo for those unaware, Go to Ardougne docks, pay 30gp to go to Karamaja, then pay the cart driver 10gp to go to Shilo, east of which is the bank, west of which Is the general store. You can also easily get to Shilo if you have the Karamaja Diary 3 done, for the gloves which teleport you in the underground mines under Shilo. So, you should wear light weight equipment; wear nothing that would weigh you down. I did as test; I started at 18:06 with 0 vials of water, using Shilo general store. At 18:35 I had 1027 vials. (Please note I used the Terrorbird.) So, you could possibly obtain 2200 vials an hour. (If no distractions, I was chatting away occasionally.) Ardougne General Store Here is the second (I dont find this really good at all, but I shall still put it in.) method. You use the Ardougne General Store, in Ardougne, west of the south bank. Wear same equipment as above in Shilo, and use Terrorbird and scrolls if possible. I started at 19:02 with 1027 vials. (I again, used Terrorbird.) At 19:42 I had 1837 vials. Possibly 1600 vials per hour. Note: I disconnected at least three times, so it put on five minutes. Obtaining the Herbs Now for the most important part of Herblore. The Herbs! Whether you buy your herbs, farm or get them from drops; this is really the barrier of profit and loss in herblore. Although, some potions still need you to collect more items for profit. Yes, if you wish you can buy the vials and secondary ingredient, you either profit *very* small, or suffer a small loss. Its all up to you. With the release of the Grand Exchange, both people are lazy to gather there things for herblore and it is hard to make a profit with potions. Before it you could easily. Now, not so much. But, thats why you need to DIY and get profit, be the unique person from the rest of the bunch! If you wish to profit the most efficiently, I suggest you farm your herbs, and depending on the potion, buy the secondary ingredient, but if you wish to profit more by collecting them. Please go ahead. So we are going to be looking at a few methods of gathering Herbs. [*:2tjtuqz9]Farming. (By far the best!) [*:2tjtuqz9]Chaos druids. (Good for the low level herblorist.) [*:2tjtuqz9]Aberrant Spectre. (For the high level herblorist.) In my opinion, these are the most three efficient methods. I will not be including the mini-games of herblore, as I believe they are not a very efficient method of gathering herbs. Farming Route Mini-guide Farming is what I think the fastest method to obtain herbs. (Besides buying them of course.) You can be sure you almost always profit, as usually you get more herbs in worth then the seed, for example: Toadflax seed is in the mid 200s, yet it has a very low death rate, and the herb is worth 2,000+ each! Talk about profit, right! I will provide with a mini-guide to farming with my route. (Note this route requires the Lumbridge Diary 3 finished for the Explorers ring, also quests: Ghosts Ahoy and My Arms Big Adventure.) [hide=Mini guide to Herb farming.] Above is the equipment I use. Equipment: Spottier Cape Amulet of nature (to know when my next batch of herbs is ready; make sure to have it to the last patch you go to.) Magic Secateurs (They are used for a higher yield of herbs a must if you wish to get profit!) Boots of lightness Explorers ring 3 Inventory: 5 Herb seeds 5 super compost Ectophail Spade, seed dibber and rake. 5 laws 5 airs 2 fires 2 waters (2 laws and 2 waters can be replaced by a combat bracelet.) House teleport, to go to where-ever your next activity is. (Provided you have a teleport room ect. In your house.) 5 tireless run scrolls (with terrorbird summoned when needed) [*:2tjtuqz9]Start off in a bank, stock up on the inventory and equipment. [*:2tjtuqz9]Teleport using the Cabbage-port on the explorers ring. Go north to the patch, compost the patch, plant your herb seed and teleport using the ectophail. [*:2tjtuqz9]Go west to the patch, pick, compost and plant and teleport to Camelot. [*:2tjtuqz9]Go east then, pick, compost and plant. Go bank in Catherbuy Bank and teleport to Ardougne. (using the teleport or combat bracelet, doesnt really matter.) [*:2tjtuqz9]If you teleported to Ardougne go north up the path then east to the patch. If you used the combat bracelet, go south east till you meet the patch. Do the routine, then teleport to the last destination [*:2tjtuqz9]Teleport to Trollheim, run down the mountain to go into the market square, up the ramp, in the doors, north up the stairs, south to the kitchen, up the stairs in there. Go west in the door up north, up the ladder go north again and your at the patch. Do the routine and teleport off, to your next activity! [/hide] Chaos Druids The 2nd method, this is mostly used by beginner herblorists, but there is one spot, which is the most efficient, but no one uses! Although you need 50 thieving, it is worth it to have it. It is in Ardougne, North West of the town. In there, they are 4 spawns of chaos druids. (Level 13, 20 HP barely hit you!), they are one of the best herb droppers. You dont need to bring anything in your inventory, but a macaw is good. Summon it when you get into the location. Heres what I wear. Equipment: Helm of Neit Quest cape Glory Abyssal whip Rune platebody Rune defender Black chaps Barrow gloves Dragon boots Ring of wealth Adjust the equipment to your levels and budget. Once you get there, start killing. Unless you are a shockingly low level, you should have no problem killing them. I recorded two trips. One with a wealth and one without, there is not much difference: With Wealth: Without: Aberrant Spectres The high level herb dropper, if you are a decent level, these are really simple to kill. The problem is; they are so crowed! But, in the smoking kills dungeon, its 95% of the time: empty! There can be cannoners at times, just world hop, or find a better spot in the room where the cannon cannot reach them. I will be only focusing on the smoking kills spot; it is pretty much the same. But they dont attack you on sight. Plus, if you dont want to be paranoid with only 1 HP while fighting them, you need a slayer helmet. (The smoke effect dose NOT kill you.) But, if you have a laggy connection without a slayer helmet: Do not do this method. You can also bring a Summon down here, spirit terrorbird for keeping extra herbs, or a macaw for better drops. I prefer a macaw. Do get access you need to have completed smoking kills. Not a hard quest. Heres the equipment plus inventory: For it to work most efficiently, you should have your house in Pollnivneach. Gathering seconds The next main part of Herblore: the secondary ingredients. If you dont wish to gather these, you can buy them. It doesnt really matter. Not many people enjoy this kind of activities, but if you can keep on to it, means more profit for you! I am going to provide a list of the (main) secondary items, how to get them, with the most efficient method. If possible, Ill provide a amount that can be gathered per hour. Eye of newt Our first item; eye of newt. Used in the attack type potions, you can buy it from all herblore stores; I have found one herb store which is the most efficient. You will need to have completed Enlightened Journey, and you must have unlocked the Castle war balloon route. Youll be using the balloon route from Castle wars to Entrana, beside the Balloon at our destination, there is a herblore store, quicker then all the other herblore stores! You will need light equipment. A normal log, (have 100 or so in bank.) cash, and its handy to have a few super energy restores in your bank. I started at 18:29 with 0 eye of newts, at 18:38 I had 270. So you might be possible to obtain 2,500 eyes an hour. (Needs more testing.) Unicorn Horn The next item, Unicorns horn. Used in super anti poisons (ground up), also high level summoners will buy them for the unicorn stallion pouch. I will be using the Wild to kill Black Unicorns, and banking in Bounty Hunter. You must be willing to go into the Wild, beware of Revs! Keep in mind that you must take stuff your only willing to lose, but you mightnt have a big problem with them. I took the same equipment as in the chaos druid method. Limpwurt root These are a fairly annoying item to obtain, the only efficient way is farming them in the plant patch, if you plan to farm these, go back up to the mini guide on the farming route, and add four plant seeds and four extra super compost. The annoying thing is they dont have a very high yield. Red Spider egg I find that the best way to obtain these is using the spirit spider and the scrolls of it. You can also alchemy outside, (Edgevill for example.) I am not aware of any other faster methods. Chocolate Dust/Bar It is quite annoying and hard to obtain this item nowadays, with the release of the infinite stock; most shops have stopped stocking it! The only ok way is to use the RFD chest in Lumbridge basement. Note they are other people who might be trying to buy it as well, so it can be hard at peak times. World hop when you have bought out the stock. I am not aware of any other faster methods. White Berry To guide this item, I found it a pain in the rear. This item is very annoying to get to. Beware when collecting this. I used the Isafdar spawn. BEWARE OF THE TRAPS. This was my downfall. I lost 50+ HP trying to get to the spot! Food is needed in your bank. Try your best to have a spirit Terrorbird, its almost crucial. Instead of teleporting in the Elf town, its more efficient to use the Castle wars bank. Toad Legs The next item, toad legs, they arent really used in herblore much, more used in summoning for the Barker toad pouch. The best way to collect these is in Gnome Stronghold North west of the Grand Tree. Pick them from the ground in the swamp. You have to pull the toads legs off, be careful not to eat them! Also, spirit Terrorbird, again, is one of your best friends for this. Cannot stress enough how well you get on with this summon, if you dont have it, get it ASAP! Snape Grass In no doubt, this item is one of the most used herblore item; Snape grass. Can be tedious to come by if not using the right method. However, I find collecting them in WaterBirth Island, is quite the way to go. To do it right, you need lunar spells on. You need a decent magic level aswell. Level 72 or 73+ magic, you should use the level 73 spell because you gain more magic exp. Bring runes of the spell, a water staff so you can take an extra Snape grass, a duelling ring for banking, this teleport is the best way to bank, using a glory is just a waste of a charge! For the most efficient method to go about, collect Snape grass at the tip of the island, which is west of the boat, you will 99% of the time see a pure type account, training there so you know where you are. Just collect grass along the shore. Terrorbird is good for extra grass. Once your inventory is full, teleport to Castle wars, and repeat. Mort Myre Fungi This is generally easy item to obtain, you need to have completed Priest in peril to get to the gate of Mort Myre, and have started Nature Spirit to gain access. You will need a silver sickle blessed, which the nature spirit alter can bless for you. You will need light weight equipment as well. Spirit Terrorbird, yet again saves you walking, so bring some scrolls. When you get into the swamp, find rotten logs, there is a good spot with three logs a bit down the swamp. Operate your sickle, to cast a Bloom which allows you to pick the fungi, this time it is more efficient to bank in Canifis unless you are on Ancient Magicks, you can use a duelling ring to teleport to bank, then use runes for the Canifis teleport spell. Otherwise you should bank in Canifis. Blue Dragon scale Before I even start, do not do this method, only if you have 70+ agility. It is not efficient to go all around the long way. If you are 67 agility or so, and eat a summer pie or sip a dose of agility potion, ok. Bring light weight equipment, and a duelling ring BRING A ANTIFIRE SHIELD! These are found in Taveraly Dungeon; use the pipe beside you when you go down the ladder. Go in it, to end up in the blue dragons domain. Avoid contact with the mother (level 111) dragons, but they are usually been killed by other players. Go east and you will see the scales on the ground. Spirit Terrorbird isnt compulsory but it is still useful for extra scales, when you have your inventory filled, teleport to Castle wars, bank then teleport to Falador and repeat. Levelling This for levelling to 99 herblore, using as much DIY where it can be possible. For dealing with weather to buy or to collect secondary items, its really up to you. If you want more profit, go for collecting, if you dont care or mind spending cash, go for buying the secondary items. 1-38 Herblore For the starting levels, try all you can, lamps from quests/randoms. Tears of Guthix and do Jungle potion aswell, at level 15 do Shades of Mortton. But Id try killing chaos druids and making potions with the herbs they drop. With the herbs you cant do anything with, either sell for some cash or keep for later. 38-45 Herblore Now, for making prayer potions, you should farm your ranarrs, and collect your snape grass. Your getting awesome profit and a lot of exp. 45-55 Herblore You can either switch to super attack potions, or stay at pray potions, its all up to you. You farm your irits, but you wont get much profit. 55-66 Herblore Super Strength potions! These are brilliant to make. Farm your kwuarms and either buy or farm your limpwurt roots, limpwurts are annoying to obtain, I would try buying them in this case. 66-81 Herblore You can either stay at super strength potions or move onto super defence potions. Cad. Herbs are good to farm but the secondary item, as I stated before are a pain. Buy them if you cant stand it like me. You can move onto other potions along the way, experiment, have a try at ranging potions if you want. 81-99 Herblore Saradomin Brews all the way! The most efficient potion to make, but in terms of DIY we will be having a problem with Crushed Nests, you can try to collect them yourself, from a combination of Manage Thy Kingdom and Giant Mole hunting and trading in the claws and skins for nests, you can make some nice extra cash from the seeds. But, personally I would buy them, have a go at collecting if youre bored. Toadflax is one of the best herbs to farm. Low death rate, high herb yield rate, and to top it all off, they are cheap! (200 coins~ each) ___________ If you manage to get 99 herblore completely from DIY, I cant even describe how awestruck I would be, reach for the goal! Happy levelling! Comparisons This is for the comparison between DIY and just plain cash burning. You dont necessary need to DIY just because I told you so. You can see if you can afford spending based apon your cash per hour made. To see if you can spend X amount on Y potion instead of DIYing. New: I made a sheet that grabs the prices straight from the GE Database and it updates when the GE updates! Click here for the Herblore GP/XP Sheet! BROKE AT THIS MOMENT - WILL FIX ASAP. Here is the manual way to do it for the potions you want to calculate but I didn't include: [cost of herb] + [cost of second] + [vial of water] = [total cost of potion made] [total cost of potion made] [sell cost of potion] = [total lost] [total lost] / [XP of potion] = [XP / GP] Now, to compare it to your amount made per hour. First, check how many you make in 10 minutes. (This will work with most, if not all potions.) [How many you make] x 6 = [How many made per hour.] [Amount made / hour] x [XP of potion] [Answer] X [XP / GP] = [Total money used per hour.] I checked it myself with prayer potions, using the current market prices and using a example of 500 potions made per hour. I got 112,000 gp as my end result. So, If you make less then the total money used per hour (which Im just going to call the total for short now.) you should avoid buying the XP. Either move onto a lower potion which you can afford. If you make more then the total, go for it, but DIY is always an option! If that quote is a hint of the 150th quest im pretty sure its going to be something like this for the quest: North: We can't really be sure, but im guessing penguins. South: Either the scarabites series or the monkeys West: Elves/mourners/death guard and the Tyras guard. East: The vamprye and the darken. It dosen't make sense though. Gnomes and dwarfs should be playing a part in this and the hidden city, pretty sure they are intertwined if this was to happen. If there is a quest where is goes to all 4 sides of RuneScape. I'm happy.

Free Runescape Money Making Guides - Hunter Con Runecrafting
Sentry_Wolf replied to Jaysun's topic in General Guides
In depth? It isn't a long in-detail guide, plus that guide is highly outdated. (Due to the 10th of December trade changes.) Aswell as the prices for your oak method. I just don't like these guides at all, besides the hunter guide, (which is all based on your luck on seeing a impling.) they are well known. Some tips in my opinion that are vital. [*:2cresssi]Posted here, where people don't have any funny feelings about the links. [*:2cresssi]Pictures! Sorry for the negativity , but these common knowledge guides, (besides the hunter one, fair play to you.) really make me annoyed. :( -
Simple answer. No. What would be the point in all the work they put in the Grand exhange graphs?

Jagex announces the most challenging quest to date.
Sentry_Wolf replied to Zox's topic in General Discussion
Its spelled Prifddinas. (Yet, I have managed to make an account called Prifddians. ;) ) Pretty sure All Fired Up has something to do with the 150th quest. We will get to see the level 21 guards of Varrock fight in this possible battle? :P I can understand Beacons for the East for the werewolves getting past the River Salve as we mentioned to the King. But there is not much I can think of that would want to attack Varrock from the Wilderness? If there is this battle coming (the vryewatch are planning it?), the Tyras Guard also mention a battle. The King has the beacon's to alert for a battle so he can ready his troops ect., Arrgh. We need more information... -
Wow odd. I don't think there is a quest area where you walk around Varrock? (Besides a Souls bane which is only a cutscence.) Very intresting...
-
Yeah, some awesome guides were lost, (Unlimted guide to Herblore, A Dragonic guide... ect.) Thankfully I don't have premission to go into the topic about the update to PMG forum, so we can expect changes soon! Haha, this is making me hyped up to make a useful guide. *Runs off to do research.* Looking forward to it!

Hiya, Today I got 71 Herblore, I Print Screened it. Opened up MS Paint and pasted it in. (Cropped it and the usuall stuff.) Saved it then went to X it, got the error message: "Windows Explorer has stopped working Windows is trying to find a solution (spelling? :\) to the problem." Then this replaces the window with: "Windows Explorer is restarting." Then the window closes, and the same error happens again when I go try again. The same error happens when I try to upload a image. (I tried a few image sites, all the same.) I'm using Windows Internet explorer 7. Please help!

Got 71 herby but comp went funny and paint restarted thus losing the pic. =\

Jagex announces the most challenging quest to date.
Sentry_Wolf replied to Zox's topic in General Discussion
Monkey Madness 2 is already out. It's called RFD: Saving Awowogei. Monkey Madness 2 is not out. That only has to do with Saving Awowogei. Where are all the gnomes if it is MM2? Still hoping for a multi race quest. But, if The Stone of Jas is related to the Tears of Guthix, its most likely its going to be a goblin quest? :( -

Jagex announces the most challenging quest to date.
Sentry_Wolf replied to Zox's topic in General Discussion
I'm guessing the reqs. will be in the mid 70's, it seems a stupid idea having a quest a very small population of RS can do over a level. Jagex will be a bit stupid to put in a req that is 80+. Sure, I'd like it,but what can you do. Hope there is a nice quest point req although. 225 quest points seems like it. It depends on how many quest points they are, how many was there when RFD was out? 200? -
Idk saru and thanks guys for posts Did all of rag and bone man! it wasnt that bad, but there is a glitch saying i only have 256 qp in congratz screen. i really have 257 (it says in quest tab :s) 5 quests left: RATCATCHERS -.- Scorpion Catcher Spirit of Summer Spirits of the Elid Troll Romance Besides RATCATCHERS, it should be easy breezin' right?
