Yea :) killing normal dagannoths

With 85 defence, wearing a torso and dragon platelegs, spirit shield, glory, barrow gloves, dragon boots, red cape (or fire cape, or skill cape t), will I need to pray to protect from the dagannoth hits? Or will a bunyip be fine?

A friend of mine with 85 range 93hp 85 defence 78 prayer wants to do it, and asks me if an enhanced excalibur is worth it. Maybe on the level 45s and the ones that sprout out of it?

I hate that constant dropping :P And I had to catch over 200 of those last strange rock :( 77 Red chins for this one... Is pretty slowly :( -

I always thought that gear increased the speed you catch things like chinchompas but RS wiki, nor other guides, say anything about this ability. Is this ability removed or did I believe in a myth lol?
