Keyloggers don't only come from autoing programs. Things that you would never expect to have keyloggers might in fact have them. Yes, there are many different ways of getting a keylogger. Instant messengers and non-illegal Runescape related programs could all give you keyloggers.

Most keyloggers do what they are named for: logging keystrokes. But there are some that can do what you have pointed out, and they are the biggest threat. Your solution is the best that I've seen.

A minority of keyloggers have always had this ability, but the majority don't. This would stop most of them. On-screen keyboards wouldn't work anyway.
