  1. Well, I recently bought this crappy remote shutter off of Trademe (E-Bay). After 3 days, it broke. I found out that it is the wire that tells the camera to take the photo that is broken. Here's an instructable on the circuit: http://www.instructa...Y-ALPHA-Remote/ I have 2 questions. 1: Should I just re-solder and see if that fixes it. 2: If that fails, I'll just use it for parts. Can you buy push buttons that are 2 stage. So in my case, half press for focus, full for photo.

  9. Lol: The abbreviation of 'Laugh out Loud'. Since long ago, in the early days of the internet, and texting, abbreviations have been used by people through out the world, as a form of quickly writing something, and because of sheer laziness. In the beginning, Lol had a meaning. You were saying it, as you found something generically funny. It made you laugh. You literally laughed, loudly. Now days, Lol is one of the most common terms used on the internet. Young and old. It has become so popular, that it has even broke into the real world. When something funny happens, they will say Lol. Lol was spreading like a virus, everywhere. But with the contagiousness of it, it soon lost its true meaning. Lol become the beginning of sentences, the ending of sentences, and sentences themselves. People would shout it out whenever something happened. They didn't even have to find it funny. They would just type Lol meaninglessly. It has become an ironic statement. They don't find it funny, but type it any way. I can recall someone say "Lolq" Laughing out Loud Quietly, and "LOLI", Laughing Out Loud Inside. Or as to Demetri Martin puts it now "LTMQ" Laughing to myself quietly. It is an internet ice breaker. So easy to type, with no thought process required. Yet it can keep conversation going. For a short period of time before more Lol must be used again. If something is unfunny, or a situation is awkward, a Lol will be used. It is an internet ice breaker. So easy to type, with no thought process required. Yet it can keep conversation going. Think of something else to use instead. It makes you seem unintelligent, and is just stupid. Men, do it for yourselves to stop using it, and do it for the internet.
  10. You're going to need to give a lot more information than that on what you want... Also, that was probably a commission. So they artist go paid.
  11. Tell me about it. Can be a pain sometimes.
  12. I'm waiting for it to arrive in the mail. Should be here in one to two days. Can't wait!
  13. Thanks for all those tops Latios, you are correct in every case.
  14. I'm not taking any chances! Haha, will do
  15. Yeah, I was quite disappointed with the foreground being so dark. You are right Nadril, I needed a slower shutter speed. Thanks for the C/C.
  16. Took this before. Took ages as I had to convert it from .ARW to .TIFF manually ._. I need a mass converter. I was pissed off because my remote shutter broke, so I couldn't use it. Stupid cheap Chinese Labour... I think I have fixed it, but I'm not sure... Also, please check out the full view if you have the chance: http://ouchy-s.devia...-Gulf-171128747 Just click Download Image, and you will see the full view.
  17. Nadril, that looks very, very well done. Very professional  Works fine in Firefox.
  18. Your signature is too big. There is a 420 X 200 Pixel Limit. Remove one of your stat signatures.
  19. Just got In Silico by Pendulum, so listening to that

.ARW (My camera's RAW) I think in Lightroom I was choosing the wrong Colorspace. Anyway, I'm exporting them to photoshop now instead and saving them that way... EDIT: Does the first look like it has been less raped by .JPEG now?
  21. Ouchy replied to Ouchy's topic in Art and Media
I took this on the same night as I edited and uploaded them. Hmm I'll try again....
  22. Ouchy replied to Ouchy's topic in Art and Media
Yeah, I was hoping it was just focus to infinity... Also, both the first and third look like they have been raped by .JPEG? I am using Lightroom and save it as 100% JPEG. Why is the quality so shocking?
