  1. Obligatory old screenshots, some of the only ones I could find. This was when I got 99 defence or firemaking, can't remember. Probably defence sine I'm wearing the cape. Those are the only 99's I got on original RS.
  2. Mega bump. im back! I logged into my account for the first time in many years recently. The game is hardly recognizeable! No idea what i was doing. But old school RS has grown much and I switched over to that and remember why I love this game. For any other “vet” players who read this, starting over is worth it. Hope to talk to you again soon. My friends list hasn’t changed so hit me up if you see me on. Currently working on: everything and it’s gonna take a while cause now I got a full time job and a whole lot more lol
  3. IBM Model M! Not only are they great to type on, but they're something you'll be able to give to your grandchildren.
  4. Very cool. I was put off from RS 2007 because I couldn't have my old stats, but that makes a lot of sense.
  5. Paul wouldn't kill the current military jobs, he would move all of our troops from bases overseas back to the US. I didn't check to see if this was already mentioned, but he has more support from active military than any other candidate.
  6. If Paul wins the nomination (brokered convention etc) then I'll vote for him. If not, it will be Romney or Obama and I'd rather have Obama.
  7. Put yourself out there. I mean force yourself to. What interests you? Find a group on campus or elsewhere that matches your interests and participate in it. You'll likely meet lots of great people who are like you. I'm into cycling so I participate in local cycling events. The bigger your social/hobby life is, the less you'll be interested in RS. That's how I got away from it anyway. It's tough, but so very worth it and gets easier given a little time. Oh, and don't be afraid to try things that you think you might like. If you think something would be cool to be able to do, try it. For example, I saw some really neat videos of people doing mountain unicycling (muni) and thought it would be fun to be able to do that, so I learned to ride a unicycle and got a new hobby to take up my time. There's many many ways to make your life a lot more fun than going to class + play RS. Go and be awesome.
  8. I don't know if I count, but I come around here once every six months or so to nostalgia. Almost four years and it feels like much longer because of how much things have changed.
  9. If mind and body are separate things... Only the dead know, or do they?

IMO best way to learn a language is to visit the country for a while... next best is to take an actual class in your native country, then stuff like Rosetta Stone. I found Spanish easy after finding the patterns in verb conjugation, for example -o, -as, -a, -amos, -ais, -an along with concordance. Hope you can roll R's otherwise pronunciation isn't as fun.. and I can't.

    It's just a number.
  12. Unless you can get someone else with you, it'll be weird. You can't really not feel weird when you're just sitting there next to your friend and her boyfriend doing their couple stuff, while you're on your own. I suggest just moving away and listening to music. Tell me about it. <_< Either ignore them or be all over someone else. It sounds rude but you could also avoid the situation altogether. I know if I was sitting in a room with my friend and his/her girlfriend/boyfriend and they started doing couple stuff I would feel rather awkward. Having been on both sides of this... it's awkward for both parties. So it'd be best to make up an excuse and go somewhere else.

If you can't get a job, keep trying. If you still can't, volunteering is better than doing nothing, and will add to your resume. I sure hope I can get a job though. My current job ends soon and I'm going to need a new one...
  14. All people start out as hedonistic monsters, but society tames them into being more mindful.
