  1. I think you have misunderstood my comments. :shame: FYI I'm not a nasty player, quite the opposite. Go flame somewhere else. :-#
  2. Just the other day I was thinking that Jagex was dumbing-down Runescape. It's a bit embarrassing really that the rantings of a minority who got scammed or died because of their own naivity, allowed the game to become so simple. I got scammed once because I didn't check the second trade window, it never happened again. I died when I wandered into the stone circle south of Varrock, I was more careful next time. I bought 250 merrentil unids for 1k each  never again! This is (RS) life, cr4p happens and you get over it. Nowadays I wonder if there will be a politically correct statement when I log in. "Play nice please" "For reasons of health & Safety...." blah, blah, blah. Jagex, if you're listening, give us some credit! Stop treating us like idiots!
  3. I'll bow to the greater experience and knowledge of the legendary Tripsis. =D> However, and there are always howevers, if you like a skill and you can see a way to make money from it then go for it! Not worth doing something that you don't enjoy 'cos then it's just a grind. I love herbore, I don't know why but it floats my boat. I got the level to complete legends and well, just kept going. I have a few reliable herb sellers which is an absolute must and I also have a kingdom on the go which combined with my Bro's kingdom keeps the herbs flowing in. Slayer helps 'cos there are lots of monsters which drop herbs in abundance and provide a change to the routine. Things to know are that you can't sell some potions. That's a fact you'll have to empty the vials and take the loss. Some potions will sell, such as super sets 10k ea. But it's a patient seller that can keep afloat on that alone. Weapon Poison P++ sell for 10k each or added to a D.Dagger can recover 15-20k per sale. But we're talking heady levels now. #-o My advice? keep going to Super Strength and see how you feel after that. I suspect you will have found another target for your money by then. As for me I've got a Fury, Full Drag and Full Guthans and always about 2M in the bank, plus carrying 3M+ herbs / Pots to sell. Is that successful? My Bro' does Runecrafting Nats. He can make the same money and is starting to overtake me now. Perhaps I should have done that. Doh! :uhh:
  4. I agree with the kingdom management scheme. If you get them to collect herbs up to the max' and lets say fishing on the side, you can generate about 700k from potion sales with about 500k invested and thats not including the 750 raw swordies and 1500 raw tuna. I estimate the XP to be in the region of 45,000 per week. (Invest 1.3M, cost 500k, returns 700k = 200k profit - keep favour up to 100% - go back in 7 days and refresh). During that time you can collect seconds, vials etc and merchant unids. You neglected the merchanting part if you want to collect herbs quickly. Might I recommend when you're starting out in Herblore and intend to level the skill, NEVER to sell any unids. It can mean the difference in gaining a level whenever you are in a position to make the next potion up. I think money-making comes into it because it can be more than self-funding once you can make prayer and super strength pots. And you need money to get serious with this skill.
  5. I did this with 63 agility and agility pots. The agility is basically needed for the wall hand grips to get to the blue? door. Took me 2x and 11x attempts. After a couple of visits I too concluded that it's easier to stick with mourner's gear for the sake of inventory space. You may need to fight to get rid of the shadows which are preventing you from turning your mirrors, so mace or whip. You must use protect melee 100% of the time so you do not need defensive equipement. As for prayer bonus, then I took holy wrench - that's it. There are a couple of safe spots, such as near the lever and in the middle of the top floor where the shades cannot go. This is time to remove prayer, take a breather and read the guide. I took plenty of prayer and super energy pots because if you're walking instead of running, you are obviously using up more prayer. Two sharks, just in case. Ectophial to get out (walk to phtysmus bank and tele back to Ardougne) A bit of an intense ordeal and strung out unecessarily by Jagex, but a good feeling once you get to the dwarf. Good Luck. 8-)
  6. OMG that's meant to be a joke obviously! It always gets a laugh and sometimes a trade for 10M which is declined. I'd say unless you traded it cannot be counted as item scamming...... Some ppl mod-wannabe.
  7. I avoid the wildy like, well like the wildy. If I have to follow a clue then it's as few items as possible and an ectophial and hope that i don't bump into anyone. If there's a dot on the horizon, I just log off and switch worlds. Training my Claws of Guthix was a nightmare. I was dropping bloods like crazy. Had to get up really early in the morning to finish it. Killing Green Dragons for slayer was funny. A skulled dude with full rune and whip waited till i filled my inv and attacked. I was using D Baxe and hit him two 26's one after the other - he ran lool! Training in the agility course while wearing nothing, carrying DDS and 10 cakes - attacked. Hello! got nothing on me noob! Finally... Got pooned on Christmas day by two rangers while collecting white berries. Lost my anti drag fire shield - big deal - Peace!
  8. Whilst selling Super Sets I fell for the 200k to 20k scam - Gah! I was so used to accepting cos' I'd sold like 100 sets that I saw the scam and called him a scammer and then accepted... Nooooooooo! :wall: Can I name him? I'd love to but probably get into trouble here. There seems to be a lot of "my friend will buy all Spr sets u got" scam atm. Just meet him by the 'alching spot' - the what spot? Oh! it's just north of Edgeville bank. Yeh right....
  9. As a level 76 herblorist I would suggest the following: 1. Cheap way is to kill chaos druids in Edgeville dungeon or Yanille. This is time consuming but it gets you free herbs whilst levelling up your combat. You might want to sell the unids which are way above your ability to ID and use the cash to buy herbs which you can convert into pots for XP. 2. Expensive but quick is to start with 100k and buy unids, merchant higher unids and buy more unids until you have enough identified to make pots by the hundreds - it's quicker than you might think and you make money on the side. 3. If you reckon to do M-Ends PII, then you have the ability / agility to reach Salarin in Yanille up the rock climb (Level 67 req' - or 64 + pot). He drops keys to a chest which gives higher level herbs which you can convert or sell. Good luck!
  10. Naturally high level unids are made into high level potions by high level herblorists. The higher the unid the more XP given to herblore and the more costly the potion to buy / sell. The three highest herbs will often sell for 2k each as unids, if they are genuine. Other unids would normally sell for 1k each if the type was unknown or if the seller/buyer was unsure what they were. Herb and unid merchanting can often be a good way to make money. Check the skill guide for more information. Hope this helps.
