  1. You can lower your mile time just doing longer running work outs. Instead of just doing one mile, do at least 2-3 miles. That builds up your endurance and helps with getting a faster mile time. Also, you could try hill-repeats on a good sized hill (if you have any nearby), at least 4-5 to start with, then over time work to 6-7 or even 7-8.
  2. I hate being in the place. I can't stand being that close to running sub-20 or sub 17. Worst feeling ever for me.
  3. Sadly for me, only 2 weeks of regular season practice remains before my Senior year XC season ends. After that, track season then hopefully College XC and track. On a side note, dropped my 5K time to 17:17. Conditions where cold, and windy. I'm hoping for Sub-17 times before league, or at league finals, in not, then at sectionals.
  4. Ran a 17:20 5K last week. I'm happy about that. Hit the first mile at 5:17. Dropping my 10K time down too. Probably at 36-39 Minutes for it now. Also a D2 school near me tried to recruit me for XC...Made me Lol. :lol:
  5. What? The 10K I ran was supposed to be for College recruitment. Got 45 minutes for the time but it was like 85-90 degrees and sucked to run...
  6. I get to run a 10K on the track tomorrow for time. Submitting it to College which will be good. Hoping for 35 minutes...If I can get that, I'll be happy (9 Minute PR if I do).
  7. XC season started, hopefully I'll get 16:30 for my time on the course we run at. Looking forward to a 4:40 mile also. Not that far from it.
  8. I can't stand the 800...I just absolutely hate it. I went to the 3,200M in stance. Cross country at my school is half serious. We play capture the flag for 20 minutes warming up, work out, come back and relax. Before races and the final meet, we'll play Ultimate Frisbee. Come track season, we get serious then.
  9. 5K race tomorrow. Hopefully I can get Sub-19 Minutes for it. First place time last year was 18:37 (?). Hopefully I can land top 10 this year.
  10. I just realized that the scanner for the is moving faster un-upgraded. Feels kinda of weird.
  11. I can't wait for cross country training to start in 2 weeks. -.- Our easiest day is about 6 miles at 7 minute pace - and we get one of those about once every two weeks. Lol wow, I started conditioning for the team yesterday. We did like a 45 minute run which was around 3-4 miles.
  12. Altitude training might be best then. Or just really long runs. Stamina would likely come from 5K+ runs with hills, gets you tried, but its amazing for stamina and speed.
  13. Going to start getting ready for cross country in about a week. Took a week off after I finished a 10K on last Saturday. Could have broken 40 minutes if I didn't a get a small illness before hand. Got 14th overall in the race with a time of 44:39. Then again, I could have gone under a 7:00 mile pace, since my pace for the race was around 7:11 for a mile pace.
  14. There stupid if they would go to all out war. China is not going to help them this time. I wish the South Koreans the best. This is a dangerous time for them now.
  15. For me, cheap is around $80-$125. Then again, I mostly have Asics or Nike. Using my Nikes more than Asics though.
  16. Finished my track season with PR's of 4:53 for the 1600 and 10:51 for the 3200. In just 1 year I went from 11:25 to 10:51 for the 2 mile. About 20 seconds in 1 year for the 1600 too.
  17. The cease fire expired the middle of last year and they are once again in a state of war, technically anyway. More of an unofficial Cease fire then... Either way, they have reason to believe it was NK because it was probably from a torpedo that sunk and destroyed the cruiser utterly.
  18. That's how snipers work. Mainly, I prefer to work with one of my friends in teams and see who gets the better shot of our targets...Works so well and is so fun XD
  19. I can expect the End of the Cease fire in the next few years. Tensions are going to get higher and higher till the point one side acts first. Knowing NK, it will likely be them who causes the Second Korean War. Strong External impact to? The only thing that I find is a mine or torpedo could have such an impact force if hit in the right area of the ship to cause the amount of damage done. Hopefully it wasn't intentional and it was left over from the 1950's war.

  21. Mad that I still haven't broken 5 minutes in the mile... Current PR is 5:03, got new spikes though, Nike Victories I think. I got 3 meets to drop around 30 seconds for my goal. Hopefully its possible. For LJ, just need to get a 17Ft jump in and I'll be happy.
  22. Won league championships for varsity after going 5-0-1. It makes it better since our varsity team last year was 0-9. Ran 5:03 for the mile (2 second PR), 2:26 for the 800 (1 second PR), and ran the 3200 for no reason (I didn't care about winning or doing good) and got 11:50 with 3rd place.
  23. Sounds like what I did on Monday of last week. Unlimited 400's at or under 70 seconds... I didn't feel like moving at that work out. 2 days later, 10 mile run mostly up hill...
  24. Probably, its still recent though. Either way, the story for the loyalty quest is fun.
  25. Maybe its the xbox, DVD drive problems. Have you tried taking MW2 out after it loads and putting BC2 in? I found thats a great way to bypass the error in the consol. I have found my new love in Multiplayer, riding around in the mini gun of a black hawk XD All the people I play with can't pilot a helicopter for [cabbage]. Then again neither can I, but I don't bother trying. It's really really hard to keep fire concentrated on one or two guys when it seems like your pilot has alzheimers mixed with a splash of ADHD. I have a friend of mine who's a good pilot. Reason why I like riding in gunner seat. Finally beat campaign. Loved the ending.
