  1. It was only pushed back a few months. Instead of a December Release, its a January release.
  2. yeah but then a kid like me comes and outkicks you in the last 250. base mileage can only do so much for a 4/8 runner; 25-30mpw is optimal for high school. explosiveness wins in the 4/8 combo. Today I ALMOST got hawked anchoring the 4x400 relay. I had about a 100m lead and the kid ran a 47.2 leg. He was breathing down my neck down the last 20m. Hot damn. That's incredibly fast. We would have had a meet yesterday where I'd have to face off with the fastest 400 runner in the state in the 4x400, but I got saved from that embarrassment after it got canceled because of wind/rain/cold. phillip washington. apparently he has h 46 outdoor. Two kids in cali are hitting 46.61 this early in the season. Our best 400 runner is doing 50-51...place 11th in the indoor state meet for the 600. Plus we train not far from some of the top milers in the state for Cali.
  3. Admiral Hackett showing up, aw yeah. I was planning on posting about this. Just saw my brother complete Lair of the Shadow Broker, I must say, Bioware has not let us down. The music was amazing, and the whole mission was epic. I can't wait to see Arrival. ME3 Count down begins now, only 8 months of grueling anticipation.
  4. Toughest month yet for track... We did 17 400's all at sprint pace, 30 seconds rest after each, and 2 minutes rest after every 4. Few days before, did a 10 mile run, all hills with some flat land. After that, 8 mile run to a near by orchard twice this month. Today was no break with 10 300's, alternating on slow and fast to mimic catching the runners in front. Safe to say the fast 3's were all under or at 50 seconds. We still have a 8 mile hill workout next week running to a giant cross next week. And some good news: PR'd I the mile by 3 seconds. At 4:50. 10:57 for the second two mile for the year also. And PR'd in the 400 by a second for 57.
  5. So I heard you died in a tsunami that never hit our region even though it was just over the mountain.
  6. Haha. Stupid AI. I really hope they fix that in ME3... Trying out pure tech class on insanity ;-; DO NOT LIKE HUSK RUSHES AND PRAETORIANS.
  7. ^ I wish we had indoor track where I live. To bad the weather isn't bad enough for it. Next meet is like...3 weeks from now.... Training routine has been hellish, I find it really, really beneficial. We've mainly do tons of interval pacing and tempo-work outs, all 400's with some 200's and 300's. One of those days we did 8 400's all had to be 70-73 seconds for varsity. I'm proud to say I hit those marks while having a viral infection XD (68, 70, 71, 72, 72, 73, 75, 73, Would translate into a Sub-10 two mile if it was an actual race as my coach says). Other than that, after being sick for a week, I feel/run faster after the illness occurred. Other than that, last meet was rained out. Depressing...
  8. Player: sithlord_man Name: Orion Position: Tactical Officer Nationality: American Merit: 0 Energy Credits: 0 Inventory: Nothing Skills: None Technobabble Tokens: 10 1) A workmate tells you they are about to reverse the polarity of their toothbrush, what do you do? Don't do it man, you got a life ahead of you. 2) You are given a chance to travel back in time, what do you do? Don't, whats done is done. 3) A ship decloaks off the starboard bow, what do you do? We had weapons?! None the less, find a diplomatic solution that's buys time for boarding combat. 5) There is a bomb onboard the ship. The only way to save the ship is to open an airlock which you and the bomb happen to be in, what do you do? Sacrifice myself to save the ship. 6) An alien has taken control of the bridge. A medical officer has prepared a deadly nerve gas to kill the alien, but your captain and three other officers are also on the bridge, what do you do? Gas the bridge. There sacrifice will be remembered. 7) While working one day you recieve a secret transmission from an unknown source, who claims to be working for the government. Which missile do you destroy? Save the residential area. The industries can be fixed, peoples lives can't.
  9. I prefer running in the cold more than running in the heat. I found that I run much much slower in hot temperatures than just running in winter weather. In fact, I believe some of my best times are better when I ran in cold temperature. Once your muscles warm up, I find it helps loosen them a little to help me go a little faster. Then again, I prefect a middle ground. But being from California, the temperature rarely drops below 40 during the day...I wouldn't consider it cold, but it feels cold to me.
  10. All I can see is the problem of scamming coming back. Currently, scamming is rare due to the trade limit... Either way, I can see Jagex getting money after this. A lot of players may return to PK again and will have new reasons to play. Along with this fact, some activities will be more interesting. I just want to see how they combat the bots and RWT. I also see trading on the GE dying once the message of "System update in 4:59" coming up. When the update comes, the economy would likely just stop for the people playing since they would try to get the most for there items.
  11. Duly noted. I'll wake you up early for that one ;) Yeah, you're about 23 1/2 hours late. I posted that yesterday. And your point is...?
  12. I just got a pair of Vibrams for Christmas (lol). Do you have to wear and get used to them, or can you just put them on and go? Wow I can't even put these [bleep]s on, my pinky toe and ring toe always double up in the ring toe slot. You'll get used to it, I had the same problem at first. Give it a few weeks and your feet will get used to the shoe and you'll put them on just fine. They said wear em 2 hours everyday for a few weeks. That way your feet are prepared for it, if you don't, you may get some injuries related to it. For me, I didn't have to get used because I'm already walking around barefoot at home for 100% of the time, so I'm guessing I was already ready for it. I did a track workout with them a few days after getting them and pulled a 65 second 400 without warming up or anything. an hour later, I ran a 4:58 mile on the track in spikes. I hoping to get some workouts in them, just because they help muscle strength.
  13. I figured as much. I read through the planning thread, and much of this one. I'm stuck between Switzerland (Due to the fact they have India from what it seems), and the Netherlands... If anything, I will likely join tomorrow.
  14. Duly noted. I'll wake you up early for that one ;)
  15. Anyone got any workout ideas for using my Vibram KSOs? I'm thinking trail running or a track workout. Aside from that, I'm probably going to go to the Nike Store and build my own shoe. My old trainers might have two XC seasons, and will be heading into the second track season. There are already tears on the sides of the show, but I ain't stopping till they become more noticeable/we have spike night.
  16. Interested. Anything for sign up I should be aware of...? Also, Hi Rocco.
  17. For 15 bucks online? Definitely. (It is pretty fun) Lets not forget the factor of having the imported character content.
  18. If you have the trailer, please post it so we can all see it D:
  19. B-2 Stealth Bombers. Gets the job done, quickly with 50K pounds of payload, and quietly. All you see is a big black triangle dropping 80 500lb bombs over you and your done. 1 million troops isnt nearly enough to quell a well motivated and armed civilian population, especially after fighting S koreas military of 500k and since SK has more aircrafts you can assume they would win the air war and make a land invasion of SK very costly on NK and if given proper weapons they could decimate the civilian populations of NK and/or attack the leadership of NK. Or otherwise devote their airforce to bombing the NK invasion force. If either side uses Nuclear weapons the aftermath would affect all of asia, likely China would attack either side that used the weapons. If the North launches one nuclear weapon, the UN will be on there ass so fast, you couldn't say Good Fight North Korea. And for that matter, The NK have limited combat abilities to fight 3 Nimitz class carriers, each launching sorties of F/A-18 Hornets pummeling the NK missile bases, military compounds, and infrastructure. The ability to mobilize a strong fighting force would collapse within days, if not hours of war due to a joint US-SK air superiority. The other fact is the North can't stop a B-52 heavy bomber over head dropping 70,000 POUNDS of bombs and a B-2 Spirit dropping 50,000 POUNDS of bombs (can be up to 16 tactical nuclear warheads being carpet bombed). In other words, the USAF's 2000 fighters verses NK's 300 fighters would mean little loses for the Americans as the NK air force is compromised of outdated cold war weaponry, with VERY FEW modern air crafts (about 30 MiG-29). Lets not forget that the US pretty much has naval fleets docked at Okinawa, Japan, and the Guam. Those regions are within hours of North Korea, and can launch heavy bombers from each region. Guam is known to hold the B-2 Spirits to my understanding, which means NK wouldn't even know they just lost 5 missile silos to bombing runs (B-2 stealth capabilities would make it in and out runs, only visual targeting would work).
  20. Placed 100th out of 199 in the NXN Community race. Disappointing time of 20:21, haven't ran that slow since sophmore year... Then again, I wasn't used to how muddy the course was, and it was probably about 43 degrees F at the time, so it was impossible to warm up... Now I look forward for track...Goals include 4:30 1600 time, Sub 10 3200 time and 18 flat for LJ.
  21. If I am correct, the Capital of Russia in Napoleonic war was Saint Pertersburg. It was the Russian Empires Capital from 1730-1917. In fact, when Napoleon came into Moscow, the Russians burned the city and took everything with them as part of there Scorched Earth Policy. In return, Napoleons march back to Prussia was a disaster with him losing 300,000 men for nothing. ---- Back on topic... The situation will always be the same, NK will attack a SK target, the US and SK will get angry and hold war games. The point is, NK will keep doing these attacks if they aren't having to suffer a punishment. Economic sanctions to a country like NK aren't going to work since its government doesn't care. If they want to stop this attacks, they need to take a more direct approach with Korea, effectively killing there economy with a full UN resolution to stop any and all trade with the North. China is showing that they can't handle the situation, its time the rest of the UN body took over from China's mistake and failures to stop NK.
  22. Probably going to be going to Nike Cross Nationals for the Community race they have. Got an email from them a week back so I might be running in Portland in December. That's going to be a good month.
  23. Qualified for Sectionals. Ran like crap though, 17:58 for the League Finals...First mile was on Pace at 5:15, then the hellish conditions took hold... Our school made history too with our VB team making sectionals for the first time in 11 years. VG qualified for the sectional meet for the first time ever. All around good season, probably the best team we had in 30-40 years.
  24. Yea, I can tell. We saw the Long Green Line on Monday and All I can say is York XC team is amazing.
