  1. Hello and welcome to my guide to PEST CONTROL EFFICIENCY! 1. Table of Contents 1. Table of contents 2. Getting the most XP possible 2.1 Pures 2.2 High attack 2.3 High strength 2.4 Dharoks 3. Combating boredom 3.1 Conversations ingame 3.2 Conversations in real life 3.3 Music 4. Credits Getting the most experience possible 2.1 Pures As you may know, Jagex has made it harder and harder for pures to train at Pest Control. A great way for pures to train there is to attack only low level monsters. If you really want to help your team-mates, then kill spinners, or anything else attacking another player. Attempt not to get hit by attacking other player's monsters (this can be very annoying for them, so ask first). 2.2 High Attack Well, this is where I am, so this is the method I use the most. I recommend 60 prayer for this method. First, equip a DDS. Go just outside the southern gate. This will get you the closest to each portal. As soon as you see a portal shield drop, turn on 15% attack prayer, and attack that portal with a full rack of specials. Switch to a whip, and kill portals. This can bring in several thousand experience per game. I recommend wearing Dharoks, but if you cannot afford the repairs, use the best dragonhide possible. I have gotten over 15k experience in a single game. 2.3 High Strength This method is pretty easy, but people will eventually get annoyed with you. Just kill monsters.... Sounds pretty easy, right? Keep killing monsters until you die, then just go back outside the gates and kill some more. The best place that I find is the south gate. Just outside of there, monsters flock to attack the Void Knight, so they don't even attack you. 2.4 Dharoks I used to do this until I got my attack high enough to hit well on portals. Equip a whip, and just outside the south gate, start killing splatters. Get down to around 25 hp, then equip your dharoks greataxe. Either attack a portal, or a higher level monster, your choice. The best experience I ever got off this method was 8k in a single game. 3. Combating Boredom 3.1 Conversations ingame Commonly, people will strike up a conversation at a portal. If everybody is being silent, then start a conversation yourself. Its not that hard. Just ask an open-ended question that people like to answer. At the end of the game, go onto the lander as fast as possible, and you may see some of your old friends. If you dont, it doesnt really matter. You make new ones every game. 3.2 Conversations in real life This one is a bit tougher. Either open Instant messaging on your computer, or place two computers side by side. Use one for pest control and the other for Instant messaging. Call a friend, and just talk while killing brawlers and such. 3.3 Music This is what I do all the time. I just turn on the tunes and lose myself for a few hours. I have a lot of different genres on my playlist, so I just turn it on shuffle, and let it go! All of the music interests me, and I have over a thousand songs. Great way to keep yourself entertained. 4. Credits Me, me, and me. Anyone wishing to contribute to this guide will be added in the credits, along with a description of what you did.
