Nice job dude! Get those chops in gear. That would be a great line to play on :D
  3. I totally agree, a good sniper does more than just shoot people and all that stuff is really useful for your team. The problem I have is when 3 of the 4 squadmates are sniping. You only need one sniper (maybe two on certain maps) for each squad in my opinion. Any more than that and you're putting the frontline dudes at a severe numbers disadvantage. Not only that, but they don't have any other squadmates to spawn on except the snipers that lay in the back.
  4. Arizona has some really beautiful country though. Mountains, canyons, desert, rivers. Pretty cool stuff. I have a cousin that went to Arizona State University and I've only heard good things about it. That's located in Phoenix which looks to be just a few hours down the road from Flagstaff.
  5. First of all, I would not invest my money in the stock market or really anything at all. Interest rates are in the shitter and the economy is poor at best. I would open an overseas bank account where most of it would be stored. Now here's a list of things I would spend it on. 1) Pay off all my student loans and pay for all of my future grad school. 2) Pay off all my sister's student loans and other debt as well as buy her and her fiance a house for their wedding next summer. 3) Set my Mom and step-dad up with a new truck, the best healthcare coverage money can buy, and a 1967 blue Shelby Mustang (she's always wanted a Mustang). 4) Set up my Grandparents with a one-level house with a huge kitchen (Grandma loves to cook). They're stuck in a old folks community that has duplex one-level apartments because they're not too mobile anymore. After all that was done I'd likely leave the country and never return. :D
  6. It kind of shows self doubt, mistrust, or both in a person if they need a ring to be reminded not to cheat or lie to their partner. Agreed. I honestly find it laughable that she asked for one >_< I don't have a problem with promise rings, but they should be something that's given.. not something that's asked for. That's just lame. Which, of course, is why she's an ex-girlfriend. Yeah totally I'm gonna buy you a ring when we've been dating six months
  7. My ex-girlfriend asked me if I was going to buy her one and I told her no. Come to think of it, that might have been the beginning of the end
  8. I've always thought so, but I know many couples that have them and they seem to be pretty cool with it.
  9. MAV kills are so utterly pointless though. I guess if you're just doing it for laughs then whatever, but--especially in Conquest or Rush--you are hurting your team by focusing on flying a little robot into people's heads. Taking objectives and arming M-COMs is the primary goal. It irks me SO MUCH when half of the team is sitting in the back of the map trying to snag a few kills with sniper rifles or MAVs while the front line guys are getting massacred because they're outnumbered.
  10. Bumping...rubbing... Weirdos.
  11. Yes. I for one don't think exes can be friends, at least not for a long period of time and it all depends on the type of relationship.
  12. Hey let's all have a join-date circle jerk. SWEET.
  13. Wait, what is this for? Is this an update?

I was skeptical too, but it's actually pretty fun. The couple I know that got married go to the University of Minnesota and a good amount of the womens cross country and track teams were there (she used to be on the squad), so that was good for me. It was mostly really young people so we were all drinking and dancing and eating. A generally good time was had by all. They are as fun as you make them. If you make it awkward it will be, but if you try to have a good time there's no limit to the fun you can have at a friend's wedding.
  15. Hey nice broken link you've got there.

I saw the same thing happen to people I knew. It was strange at first, because like you said, you get a feeling like you've been left behind, but after a while you come to terms with it. You got to remember too, we're all still so very young and still have a long lives ahead of us. There is no need to rush life. I am experiencing the same thing. One of my best friends from high school was married this last summer (but he had been dating this girl since the 8th grade, so he had long been married away) but plenty of other people I know either have children, are engaged, or already married. I don't feel "old" at all because of it. I feel like I have a lot of time yet to discover myself before I even want to marry anyone. These people are going to hit 35 and go "what the hell was I thinking?" I mean, if the "dream girl" so to speak came along, I would consider it, but I'm not out there looking for it. If I'm not married by 30, I might be a little worried. I have a pretty intense 6 years of grad school ahead of me to worry about. Getting married is not on my to-do list.

I actually think they are a good thing. Failed relationships help you identify: (1) what you did wrong and how to fix it for future relationships and (2) what features, tendencies, or personalities you don't want in a partner. On a side note, I asked for a letter of recommendation from one of my professors for a History department scholarship and she emailed back saying she would write for me. I was excited about that, but then I got another email from her saying that she went over some of the work I did for her Medieval Europe course (which was the first I ever took from her) and said instead of the B I got in the class, that she thought my work was worth an A-. So now she's going to change the grade. I am the luckiest bastard ever :shades:
  18. Ohhh, well if you were with a bunch of other people, that's a big difference. It would be awkward to do so in front of a group. Unless it was like a group orgy type thing. I thought you were alone with her.
  19. It means you should have tried to move beyond cuddling to see if she would have rejected that. And that if you would have, you would have had your answer up front instead of through a text message. You're right though, nothing can change that.
  20. The novelty of the situation wore off for me after my first year here. It's not all it's cracked up to be. But I'll sing you up anyways.

lol this guy I'm being mostly serious here. I know a friend of mine who visited Ireland last summer. Despite being of drinking age, he never had one sip of alcohol and still managed to enjoy himself and made a few friends. You made it sound like Ireland is either only enjoyable wasted or drinking is sort of a requirement while visiting the country. Well, I for one wouldn't visit Ireland without getting pissed at least once. The history of alcohol consumption in Ireland is....stunningly beautiful.
  22. Women in my area like flat-bill 59/50 hats, Affliction shirts, and high-top Nikes. In other words, they are attracted to guys that dress like jerk-offs. But hey, that's the college crowd for you haha.
  23. Prepare to have your life dominated by that show. When I started, I had a hard time doing anything else
  24. Anyone catch the premier tonight? I thought it was a great start to the season and it had some very funny moments where I was laughing, mostly at the Roger Sterling character.
