  1. All monitors under $300 are the same. It doesn't matter what you get. As long as it is 1920x1080 and about 21-23" @ 60Hz, it is good. Generally, at the $200 or under price range, ASUS and Viewsonic are good.
  2. Yes, they are all good. You shouldn't have any trouble playing rs on max.
  3. Then instead of dissing my suggested build, say "just downgrade to an i5-3450 and an H77 motherboard". No need to be that way. We are humans and sometimes overlook things.. Here's a better build than even the one I suggested earlier: PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks CPU: Intel Core i5-3450 3.1GHz Quad-Core Processor ($179.99 @ Newegg) Motherboard: ASRock H77 Pro4/MVP ATX LGA1155 Motherboard ($87.55 @ Newegg) Memory: Crucial Ballistix sport 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($40.99 @ Newegg) Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($89.99 @ Newegg) Video Card: Sapphire Radeon HD 7970 3GB Video Card ($409.99 @ Newegg) Case: Cooler Master HAF 912 ATX Mid Tower Case ($63.98 @ Newegg) Power Supply: Antec Neo Eco 520W 80 PLUS Certified ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply ($46.98 @ Newegg) Optical Drive: Lite-On iHAS224-06 DVD/CD Writer ($27.98 @ Newegg) Total: $947.45 (Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.)
  4. That is very wrong. Case fans do not have the same amount of airflow with a heatsink. OCing without an aftermarket cooler is just asking for a burn out.
  5. If you're just going to get a weak graphics card at your budget, you might as well cut down the whole budget to $700.
  6. For now, just upgrade the GPU and PSU.
  7. Since you are now considering building your own, here is what I recommend: PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks CPU: Intel Core i5-3570K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor ($214.99 @ Newegg) CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler ($29.99 @ Newegg) Motherboard: ASRock Z77 Extreme4 ATX LGA1155 Motherboard ($129.99 @ Newegg) Memory: Crucial Ballistix sport 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($40.99 @ Newegg) Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($89.99 @ Newegg) Video Card: MSI Radeon HD 7950 3GB Video Card ($322.86 @ Newegg) Case: Cooler Master HAF 912 ATX Mid Tower Case ($59.99 @ Newegg) Power Supply: Antec Neo Eco 520W 80 PLUS Certified ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply ($46.98 @ Newegg) Optical Drive: Lite-On iHAS224-06 DVD/CD Writer ($27.98 @ Newegg) Total: $963.76 (Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.) (Generated by PCPartPicker 2012-09-22 21:47 EDT-0400) Since there is an MIR, the total is actually $980. This will run anything at very high settings with very high fps.
  8. Quests will build the foundation for your membership adventures. I recommend doing Lost City for access to the DDS.
  9. That will only play on low settings, so if you're fine with that, get it. What is the rest of the config for that build? What model and make of PSU? What resolution monitor? What games will you play? Will you be OCing? CF/SLI?
  10. Unfortunately, 1k won't be enough for gaming with a prebuilt pc.
  11. Or just go into command prompt and type ipconfig/flushdns..
  12. Devnull is right. Your CPU's per clock speed is low for RS. MMOs are almost entirely CPU-dependent. That is not to say you should neglect the GPU. I recommend an i5-2310M with atleast a Geforce 9400GT.
  13. HD3000 cannot and will not be able to play GTA IV even at low settings, EVEN at his resolution. http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2094252
  14. I'd rather get the Radeon 7850 as it can OC to the level of a GTX 580 without a hike in power consumption (well, not enough to be not worth it).
  15. .

Raidmax is notorious for broken parts. My friend had that same case and the power button got stuck and the frontplate fell apart.
