  1. Wonder how frequent these attacks would be without media coverage
  2. I wonder if they took his shoes off to check for roots
  3. That's a very sweeping claim to say that they're all frauds, especially considering there's many who won't / can't have been tested. I did state that this one seems a bit uncertain and that it really comes down to your belief, rather than having a need to point out frauds. ;) You NEED food and water to survive, this isn't debatable. SOMEHOW he's getting food and water. I'm not sure why you're bringing beliefs into this when it is fact you need nourishment to survive, not some magic goddess who gave you the gift of cross dressing and never needing to eat or drink. And no, it's not a sweeping claim, there hasn't been a single confirmed magic man who can survive without food or water, it's non-existent.
  4. And so far all of them have been frauds. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inedia
  5. Gargling is not enough to sustain you for even a week. He probably did survive 2 weeks(although this is still difficult) but not 70 years. And I can't believe that these scientists even regarded some crackpot saying he's never eaten or drunk(drank, drunken, w/e) anything for 70 years. I'm guessing those scientists are really bored to actually look into this. What I'm hinting at is that he probably drank some of his gargling water. And I'm pretty stunned at the scientists too, and if they are actually serious about this it should be conducted by foreign scientists
  6. Says he has been "gargling" and bathing in water, probably why he hasn't died. That plus he presumably does close to zero physical activity. And IIRC, last time people tried an experiment like this with him, he lost weight. So there is some way he is getting water
  7. Just watched two great French films: OSS 117: Cairo, nest of spies OSS 117: Lost in Rio They're both spoofs of spy movies, and possibly the best foreign and spoof movies I've seen First movie: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rwA6ir86slQ Second: What I loved about these movies is that it's a spy spoof without an incompetent, [developmentally delayed]ed, oblivious agent who sucks at fighting and just sort of lucks into everything. He's a good spy, just can't piece things together. I can't recommend these movies enough. Oh, and nazis. And nazi luchadors
  8. I've got 2x red mask, green mask, a santa, and cash and I'm still no where near purple. Purple is like at least 4 reds last time I checked, even then it's hard to get
  9. What does "worked for you" mean? Push ups are more of a warm up
  10. I don't mean that you were eating unhealthy, you probably weren't eating enough
  11. Uh, you weren't seeing any results or making any gains probably because of your diet. You don't NEED "enhancers" to make gains or increase lifts, protein powders help you with, well, getting protein though.
  12. Hahaahahahaa What's so funny? Just doing push ups and sit ups (and squat jumps) isn't going to do much of anything.
  13. Most of your argument seems to center around the idea that the person could hurt themselves, which is not a problem of free weights but of form. A person can still have [cabbage]ty form on a machine. And machines usually just mess up proper form (Damn you assisted squats), it's better to just start the right way and reap all the benefits of doing the best way. And yeah, you might have to start with low weights the first week or two to test the waters and see how much weight you should use, but the same can be said for machines. Unless you mean that on machines you can't drop the weights (just use a spotter, or learn how to dump weights safely). You also pointed out things like the person using bad form/lifting too much, that's not a problem with freeweights, that's a problem of a stupid person. If they take a couple minutes to look at a couple videos and what not, they'll be fine. If someone walks in with no knowledge of how to do the exercise right, then there's potential for injury when they use both free weights and machines. Plus if you start with machines you will usually be able to do more weight on them than with free weights, which can make transitioning from machine to free difficult/frustrating Machines aren't evil, but they aren't nearly as beneficial as free weights. And arching the back when you bench isn't bad (as long as it isn't lower back/butt off the bench). And for people who find it intimidating being surrounded by a bunch of muscley guys, some advice: No one cares what exercises you are doing or how much you can lift. Everyone is there for them, not to worry about what you're doing. Hell, I've met some damn nice huge muscle guys at the gym and no mean ones, and some have even helped me with my form without me asking. If anything, most will respect you for making a change in your life and getting to the gym and working out.
  14. Most huge guys still do free weights. Also with machines you can't up the weight by say five pounds a week, it's only specific increments
  15. I think machines can be really important if you are very out of shape. If you have never bench pressed in your life, I think it is important to do a couple weeks on the bench machine just to get your muscles a little stronger. Lifting free weights takes a lot of technique and can be unsafe to the truly beginner lifter. Also if you have an injury, machines can help you get a good work out on the rest of your body without aggrivating your injury. If you think about it, it's better to start with the free weights at a very low weight (say, the plain barbell). Free-weight compound lifting exercises main muscle groups, but you also have to stabilize the weight you're lifting with other groups as well. The machine will train the main muscles of the lift, but not the stabilizers, leading to possible problems (and the unsafeness of which you speak) when you finally move to free weights. Beat me to it. Weaponsgood: You say that you should use the machine to get your muscles stronger before trying free weights, but you don't need to be strong to do free weights. You can start with the same weight with free weights as you can with a machine. And as for the technique, machines usually only teach you poor form PS: This is a great video for helping to understand and fix proper bench form http://www.tmuscle.com/free_online_article/sports_body_training_performance/dave_tates_sixweek_bench_press_cure
  16. Well I mean, it IS sunk right? No way to know for sure at the moment, or maybe ever
  17. No mention of the 11 people who died in the article?
  18. Listen to what Assassin says, and never use machines when you could use free weights
  19. Gah, I give up on a phat .This is getting ridiculous
  20. So does this mean that wearable rares will see a slow down, or just that it's going to take more edibles to buy them?
  21. Lol, do you have anything positive to say? If you are going to call an article false or misleading, at least quote certain sections. You aren't "cool" or "edgy" because you have your smarmy, unbacked opinions. Hopefully you grow out of your teenage angst phase soon. Damn that teenager known as Qeltar, one day he will grow up! Q is my favorite poster, he actually uses his brain when he posts and has tons of useful information and ideas Because being mad about everything is "using your brain". If he posts a lot of useful information, then why didn't he elaborate on his angsty post calling the article misleading and false? How is he being angsty or mad? By posting a different opinion and reaction other than getting excited and eating everything up? Look at any of his past posts and he elaborates on everything he says, and makes great points.

  24. Bloodstain replied to Faux's topic in Off-Topic
Well after that stunt Saul called, I think Hank is going to be on edge/pissed and looking to kick some [wagon]. Next episode should be interesting, and that new assistant of Walt's is probably trying to learn how to make it himself for Gus
