"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
I have really high standards. All my friends say I'm crazy for saying no to X or Y opportunity, or for not thinking A or B celebrity is hot. This has nothing to do with peer pressure, but I can't seem to find anyone worthwhile. There's always something wrong with her physique or personality.

Be ready to bust out hundos though. I'd be more inclined to get the L.L.Bean one, it's cheaper.

Regular sized looks better (2"-3"). It can look good though. Why are you asking me? [Edit] If you have a Club Monaco nearby Blake, check out their tweed blazer. It's essentially the same as L.L.Bean's but it has two buttons instead of three

Not wearing a scoop tee and a hoody is a great start. http://www.llbean.com/llbeansignature/llb/shop/65097?subrnd=1&parentCategory=505931&feat=505931-sigtn&cat4=505930 Seriously though, try a casual shirt (chambray's a good start) and some khakis.

Hipsters buying from Karmaloop?... I don't like the watch either, but that's just preposterous unless it's some deeply ironic [cabbage], but seriously, the plaid-wearing, Pabst-drinking, NMH lover hipster who shops at American Apparel and loves ironic tees doesn't exist anymore. If I was to get a watch I would get a Timex with a leather band. That flud is like, the modern incarnation of bling. http://www.thestyleblogger.com/light-layers-of-fall-part-iii-the-hoody/ Thumbs down.

Check upcoming sales, then check that brands collection. Figure out which items you really like. Note that before the sale started I was already hoping for indigo weirdguys. I wish they would put on their pants properly though. But that's streetwear. fastortoise, Jackthread's having a watch sale. They have a bunch of Flud watches up. http://www.jackthreads.com/invite/omarbenmegdoul

I'm not buying anything from that N&F sale... Don't sleep if you're eyeing something though, I was thinking about the chambray slimguys like 5 hours ago and now they're gone. I'd go for the Unbleached Selvedge WeirdGuys if anything. http://www.clubmonaco.com/122010/mens_accessories/ That green university stripe scarf is now mine. Went from 100$ -> 30$ -> 24.something with tax. If you have a Club Monaco nearby I urge you to check out their goods. Next stop, their navy puffer jacket and their black watch tartan belt.

Yeah, sometimes. I usually cure it by having fun with some buddies.

Again, don't talk to her about it. If you do talk to her, tell her you're not over it but you'd rather not discuss it. It's not going to get you anywhere.

Tell her exactly that... "Listen, I'd love to hang out with you, and I would if I could, but I'm getting ill and I have work to do. I promise I'll make time for you as soon as I'm back on my feet." She'll understand. If you must, tell her you don't want her to feel like you're trying to avoid her, and that you'd rather be with her than studying. In a situation when you need to turn someone down even though you wish you could accommodate them, don't try to sweeten the truth, since you're being so sweet already. Sure, they'll be disappointed. The blame won't be pinned down on you though, as it's not your fault. As such, you don't really need to overthink it: a) Tell person that if the choice was entirely yours, you would do what they want b) Point out the choice isn't yours c) If possible, offer compromise. Rob, I'm sure you'll make it through. You should write a song about what you feel, that's what I do when I'm down. It doesn't really cheer me up but at least I've written a good, heartfelt song. Don't worry too much about why she broke up with you.

I hope they're going to have indigo WeirdGuys on sale. Jesus. I'm so excited. [Edit] [cabbage], I messed up; it's Monday. Still. [Edit] Turns out I do have an invite link. http://www.plndr.com/plndr/MembersOnly/Login.aspx?r=1301959

PLNDR is having a Naked and Famous Denim sale tomorrow. If you can't afford expensive Japanese selvedge jeans, this sale is for you, as they'll likely be heavily marked down. PM me for invites (can't post a link, I have to have your emails to invite you. Sorry).

Maybe. It's whatever though, you need a hobby. Something that will focus you forever, that can occupy you, so you don't feel you need women. Mine is music. and when I say that, I mean that when I am not making music, I'm often thinking about it; I count the time signatures in movie scores instead of watching the actual movies. It's not just a hobby you need, it's a passion. Something that you can always do no matter how many friends you have or how many girls you're checking out. Something that makes you self-sufficient. As it is, your life is trivial (sorry for the word choice, I know that's not a very nice thing to say... But you're young. It's normal); your two biggest worries are girls and school. Find a direction, something that matters to you.

I wouldn't either. Being sweet and funny is a much better gift than flowers. Get her roses if/when you're together maybe.

Dubstep!
I have to check on this thread again when I have time. Thanks OP and fallout especially. Any whole albums you recommend? I'm interested in that Mark Pritchard sound, the chill stuff, but I'm still undecided. I'm not interested in the wobbles.
