You need more syncopation. In other words, strong hits that aren't on the beat. O = Kick, S = Snare, each character is a 16th note, 4/4 signature: |O--O--O-S---O--O| This will allow your beats to be more interesting. Also, add more texture, more layers of sound. I still think your bass isn't working, the low frequencies are barely audible.
  2. Your friend is right, there's nothing to live for really, once you die you won't care about your legacy (assuming no life after death). However, he's wrong in thinking you can't change anything and everyone suffers. A madman in the 17th century suffers more than a madman today, thanks to the progresses of psychotherapy. He's saying things he can't even prove (no happiness, el oh el). You should have asked him to do so, argument over. Your friend should stop thinking he's a unique little snowflake, and realize that he's in the very same trap. I live because I'm scared of dying and change. I don't think I suffer enough to want to end it.

It's pretty late, actually. Winter's been starting like an old car. [cabbage], there's too much snow outside, it's actually a blanket this time. I think regardless of whether or not I'm sick tomorrow I'm not going to step outside.

I guess it's appropriate to say that I'm sick now.

Yesterday I had a gig downtown, went well, made 30 bucks, enjoyed the other bands with a girl I like. Then I went to eat some pizza with 3 buddies, and went to the bus stop. When my bus finally arrived, I realized I'd forgotten my bass (even though my mom told me to and I was like what the hell mom, who forgets a bass). I ran back through the mall which sparked a couple of laughs from people sitting there (I look like a super saiyan when I'm running because of my mane). I got to the pizza place, they were like how'd you forget a bass, and how much are you paying us. Took my bass, walked back to the mall, talked to some girls who saw me running. One of them licked my bass. I told them I didn't wash my hands before playing bass; I'll let you imagine their reactions. Then I went on to the bus stop. According to the schedule the last bus of the night had passed so I took another figuring I'd walk the rest of the way home. While walking I saw my bus - it was very late - booked it, almost fell, caught the bus in the middle of the street. I got to my street, got off the bus, and as I walked by the trees, crows flew out, it was so kvlt. Then a car passed by and a dude that was hiding somewhere ran after it. I'm not making that up. They disappeared and I got home. The end.

[hide]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E8dmytVgbCU&feature=player_embedded#at=83[/hide] 1:11? Doesn't happen in every genre... IDM, ambient, downtempo, triphop. Teenage Bad Girl - Hands of a Stranger [hide]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FuEmaHREtHI[/hide] I don't really like this but someone might. Sounds like sebastiAn but even glitchier.

"Laaaaaaaaaaaaaaggg" ? Bahahahaha. I've found out an onomatopoeia that represents laugh cannot have an even number of syllables, unless that number is two. Isn't that crazy?

man that was hard to read. Who's Sam? And why no ClearType?

Did you wanted a gnarly, rubbery bass like Justice uses in Phantom pt. II for example, or the type Flying Lotus uses in Clock Catcher? I'd personally use Sytrus (don't use BooBass, it'll never sound the way you want it to :P). Try the Deep, Deep2 or Deep3 presets. You might want to low-pass them, and make a sub bass.

I could probably be very happy as some type of artisan. I would certainly be happy as a creative musician. I'm not too interested in making more than is necessary in terms of cash. I'm interested in politics, philosophy, business, social sciences, and chemistry/physics to a certain degree, but I'd rather study them than work with them.

Seems very good. Especially considering the amount of measurements they ask for. What are the prices on the shirts and jackets?

Are you still growing in foot size? How long do you need your shoes to last? What's your budget? Asos is good, if you're willing to shell out more (100 pounds, approximately), look at Florsheim. Not as good as those high-end Aldens, but still available with a lot of the features of great dress shoes. http://www.florsheim.com/shop/style/18429.html http://www.florsheim.com/shop/style/12031.html What's the occasion?

FL8 user here (Same thing really... but I didn't get it very legally and updating would be a hassle). It's not bad, but I'd use a harder kick (LM1 kick, 505) and a thicker snare (LM1, 707), especially if you're trying to make DnB (ditch the whole 808 set in that case, it's not going to be of any use). By the way, don't use phasers on your drums, ever. This is only my opinion, but I find phasers are only rivaled by choruses and flangers on the [cabbage]ty effect podium (though they're alright if they're unrecognizable); on drums, experiment with reverb, distortion, compression... but not oscillating effects. What's your workflow? I'm asking because I didn't understand the concept of the playlist until a month after I got FL, I was making whole tracks in one single pattern. :P Use the help files. Everytime you don't understand how something works. They're pretty thorough. Don't use too many synth presets. Get lots of VST plugins, especially effects. Learn to use Sytrus. I'll post a batch of VSTs and soundfonts soon.

mewithoutYou again. I'll probably end up posting all of this album in the end. our house wrapped in disrepair, a small mouse peeked out from a hole beneth the stairs nearby to where my dad sat in his favorite chair, thinking about the gov't and muttering a prayer so I scattered some oats in hopes she'd stay and sat still to stop from scaring her away- but she hurried on her little way and scurried around my mind ever since, every day [hide]open wide my door, my door, my Lord (open wide my door) to whatever makes me love You more (open wide my door) while there's still light to run towards Like water, on the dry wood equal parts misguided and misunderstood but all the neighborhood watched a fire burn from where they stood as the smoke said "we're not half as bad as God is good" still there's a whisper in my ear, the voice of loneliness and fear, so I say: "devil, disappear! I'm still technically a virgin after 27 years- which never bothered me before, what's maybe 50 more?" she came back for the oats (this never ends) but she brought along a "friend" (this never ends) the harder the rain, the lower the flowers in the garden bend (this never ends) I'd rather never talk again (this never ends) than to continue to pretend that this never ends. (this never ends) Sorry for the bad quality. As an apology for that, here's the song live. Try not to laugh when Aaron start shaking his maracas. [/hide]

  21. A system of infinte fallback of infinite different number of groups watching the watchers and each other and not allowing any of them to rise in power to be able to abuse it? Apply that to justice, police and fire protection and you have a working system that doesnt need a centeral government Hence "ideally"; I'm obviously just throwing things out there. Regardless, it's better than the way journalism is done right now, even though it's still a fallible system. I haven't heard the pro-Wikileaks story on TV yet.

Orvis is known for their heavy outdoors gear, so you're sure this sports coat will last you a long time. Has suede patches at the shoulder and on the elbows. Great if you plan on hunting, I suppose.
  25. Unless more leaking websites of the sort pop up. Several non-profit journalism institutions will (ideally) ensure that they all stay faithful to their initial cause and be the journalists that we don't have nowadays since as soon as one of them is known to make profit, others will call them out.
