I made the mistake of stating my opinion on Facebook and a bunch of middle aged men started calling me an idiot and berated me for saying i am so "recklessly irresponsible" for stating said opinion and then not feeling then need to defend myself after they called me a moron. And now I've bother you all with my dilemma of whether or not I let them believe they have some sort of moral high ground because I don't want to waste my time (as in, I continue to ignore the situation and go on with my life) OR do I spend far too much time explaining to them that I don't owe them an explanation for my opinion and that I would have happily had an intelligent dialogue with them about the topic, but they are neither intelligent nor dialogue proficient (seriously, without even offering a counter point, they jumped straight the classic Facebook name calling). I'm leaning toward ignoring them, but the fact that they think they "won" right now just really makes my skin crawl. That'll teach me to post on social media
