I have an HP Entertainment, and still don't have that. But FN+Scrn worked. Thanks! Also, MS Paint is missing from my Start>Accessories, but when I go to User>Pictures>Picture001>Open With>Paint, the option works, and it's there. When I use search and advanced search it only comes up with Paint.Net, which I also have installed. How do I get MS Paint back to the folder, or even find it? idk, it might be in program files, but i looked for it and i couldn't find it in there. i say go with photoshop.

ok, i'm tired of my laptop's specs. they get the job done (most of the time) but i am tired of being limited on what i can do. [hide=current specs]AMD 64 anthlon 2x 1.8ghz processor 1gb DDR2 ram ATI Radeon Xpress 1150 total available graphics memory - 319mb dedicated video memory - 128mb Windows Vista basic and my laptop is a Dell inspiron 1501[/hide] i found a 2gb RAM upgrade, but i also want better processor. any ideas on where to find it? also, i would prefer AMD. EDIT: i'm a limited on money so nothin too expensive.

And yay for knife loving! Still, a phone for $200? Why pay that much when you can a regular phone for a lot cheaper?(Don't know exact prices). All a phone is needed for is making calls. i used to think $100 for a phone was alot, but trust me 200 is actually a good price for a phone of that quality. and have you or anyone else that dislikes them ever used one firsthand? i doubt it. i have sat for hours using one and toying with it - not in the store. so quit ranting and flaming it :shame: . especially on my thread :ohnoes: .

i've used an iphone quite a bit (my mom's) and its not that fragile. and i would still have my backup phone which can and has taken a beating. also i am pretty good at saving, i saved enought from birthdays, work, and x-mas to buy a laptop with my own money.

i found $30 and bought the knife. its awesome - i tested it on a can (sliced it in half). and i might have a job irrigating a field near my house for my dad's friend. so i might be in luck :mrgreen: EDIT: and to those who say iPhone is overpriced and crappy: my phone: a basic V3 razor, it gets the job done (usually :roll: ) new: $169.99 with renewal of plan: $0-25 Blackberry pearl: i don't know much about it but i heard its the best phone out there from some ... rather unreliable sources |new: $349.99 with plan: $199.99 iPhone (8gb): my mom, dad, and sister all have one. i have toyed with them quite a bit. and it kicks the crap outta my phone. |New (after july 11): $199.99 and you can't renew your plan to get one cheaper.

i disagree. i Got my huning liscense when I was 10, i passed the safety test with flying colors. and i also am much more mentally mature than most people my age, partly because of my older brother and sister. and my parents let me have my first knife when i was around 5, and it was a swiss army knife. its blade was and still is crap, the only good thing about was the doors it unlocked(figuratively). And the only scar i have from a sharp object is from barbed wire.(i was dumping grass from mowing the law into my field and slipped) and to those who don't think a hunting knife can save my life; its would make me feel safe and still give me a fighting chance. and also 85% of all fights/battles/attacks, if you think you will loose, you will. if you think you can win, then you have a higher chance of winning. EDIT: I live in the U.S. and i do know the laws of contributing to a minor. and the laws of weapons.

I lol'd because if a boar was close enough for you to have to use a hunting knife to defend yourself, you'd probably be dead in the next two seconds anyway. Not true. my uncle's dad (hes the one with the ranch that has wild boar) was hunting them and got attacked. it ripped him open from the ankle to his stomach and was dragging him alone and he pulled out a .45 pistol and shot it in the belly a few times and he lived. when they weighed the boar, it was over 900 pounds. and now the pig's head is mounted in his living room. see? a good knife or a pistol could save my life.

my parents don't pay me for any work except my dad pays me for tractor work, but theres no more work.

after reading all the posts, i have somthin to say... i want these things, not need. but i've been wanting them for while now. and BTW iPones are not new, they came out a year ago. and they are going to be $199 from apple and i might buy a refurb one. and the hunting knife isn't that big of a deal. with knives that look cool, i usually hang on my wall. and also, i'm not hunting with it - its my sort of defense if a boar attacks. i will be hunting with 30-30 rifle. and $30 for nice knife is a great price. and the only job i might be able to get is working either in a field on a tractor or in a car repair shop, both would be my dad's friend employing me. and i usually work for my money - the laptop i'm usin now ($525 refurbished from dell) is one that i saved up from x-mas and from working for my dad and paid for, but my dad has no more work for me.

you must've been sheltered growing up? and also, boar hunting playing with knives is not troublesome, nor does it make me a brat. how do you think people survived for millions of years? hunting, and working our way to the top of the food chain. i know its an over-simplification, but its true. and knives are only a weapon if used as such. i use knives as a tool. and my parents never said no, they don't care as long as i don't seriously hurt myself. and they know that i know what i am doing when i toy with knives. think before you post. EDIT:also, if i take your same narrow-mindedness, and use for something else: 'cookies are bad! they do nothing but make people fat!' i am not a spoiled brat. i have the farmers tan from working to prove it. my parents don't buy me anything unless its a special occasion. i used to work for my dad on weekends (tractor work), but now theres no more work and i can't work for him during the week as thats when his office job is. i have had to work for and earn almost all of the money i've had - with physical, back-breaking, manual labor. if your going to insult me, then get off my thread. EDIT: also, my phone drops calls and my messaging is disabled. EDIT#2: and my brother is 18, so i can buy a knife. and i want a new knife because i've always been fascinated by thier history and i love toying around with knives... idk why. EDIT#3: and i didn't say pocket knife, i said hunting knife, as i'm goin boar hunting soon and want some line of defense.(i do have my hunting license.) EDIT#4: i already have a wii, i am trying to save up for and buy rock band (a game) for it, it costs $170 so much for the tip.it forums being supportive and nice...

i understand that i don't need it, but what i mean is that i need the money to get the items that i want. and my parents wont pay me for anything. and i CANNOT get a job as i am underaged. also i can't mow lawns because i don't live in a neighborhood (i have cows) and my parents pay for my phone plan, but the rest is up to me(i'm usin a free phone that comes with the plan -.- ).

ok, i need money. about $400 to be exact. for normal people this isn't a problem. but i am a kid(only 14 - no job). and i can't do kid stuff, like mow lawns or sell old toys(none to sell). so how can i make $400 in a month? also, why do i need this? i need 200 for an iPhone (eBay FTW? \ ) and 170 for rock band for wii :thumbsup: . and the extra 30 will be for tax and maybe a new hunting knife :mrgreen:.(some wonder why i need an iPhone or a hunting knife when i'm 14, but i have my reasons(not gonna kill anyone, don't worry.)) EDIT: i want the money/stuff, not need. EDIT#2: now i've looked into buying a blacklight setup for my room. i looked it up and did my research, it will cost another $95.

Thanks so much. i tried to make one thats about half a minute. when i saved it, somehow it saved it as a bitmap. but when i go to its properties it says its a gif. also it says its only 33 bytes, witch is nowhere near the normal size of the average gif. do you know what happened? Or should i start from scratch?

if your going to get a laptop, get one of these: http://www.panasonic.com/business/tough ... puters.asp but thats just my opinion. if you really like the one you chose go for it, its not a bad deal for its capabilities. and if you want a good desktop, go with gateway, they make some nice desktops for starters, and anytime you want, you can tick it out. and if you want then you can go to your local target, wal mart, or best buy and buy a 25+ inch high def LCD screen.

yeah... my electric m16 was $200. and it can shoot the 0.12g BBs at around 400 fps. so at first i thought a $20 gun would be terrible, but actually, i found a place that sells some shotguns around $20-$40 and they aren't half bad.

alright, and i have a m16 with the same stock and its been fine except a bolt fell out so retracting its a pain... but thats my fault :wall:

yeah... my school has had that rule in play for about a month now. its rediculus on how much its being applied.
