Yeah, the neighborhood here has evolved over the years, flowing nicely with how the kids who have always been here are growing up. The summer before sixth grade for me, the summer I turned 11, two new families moved in, the families of the two girls I referred to before. At the time, I was neighborhood friends with a girl one year younger than me, and we welcomed in the two new girls. Eventually the girl I'd been friends with was pretty much pushed out of the group, the youngest new girl moved, the pushed out girl moved, and now it's two of us. The weird thing was, both the new girls were only around for most of the summer and then the weekends. I remember the anticipation I felt every Friday afternoon, waiting for one of them to show up, who first, who was hosting a sleepover, blah blah blah, and then the way we'd all make the most of Sunday afternoons before they left. Saw so many movies. I'm too sentimental.
