  1. I voted other. This is just a small thing, but my school computers have Runescape blocked, and I used to check here every Monday morning to see the new update. I'd like to see you keeping the Runescape updates section on the homepage updated quickly after Jagex puts out new content.
  2. I remember when she made this post, and it didnt seem like it was so long ago. Kiara you filled Eeeeediot's shoes and then some, you have done an outstanding job and you will be greatly missed by everyone, especially long time users such as myself!!!! Wow, yeah... I remember that too. Boy has time ever flown by... Good luck wherever you go and whatever you do, Kiara_Kat!!!
  3. I'm well aware of that page, thanks. What I was saying was that for a long time it had never even occurred to me to submit an article. I think that if the idea was more widely publicized, then a lot more people would submit good quality articles.
  4. I pointed that out on page 4, and I'm posting about it again because they still haven't done anything about it...
  5. I know the point of the poll isn't about whether or not we want the Times to go monthly, but this just has to be said: Don't you dare make the Times monthly!!!! Ok, now that I'm over that... I've only become very interested in the Times in the past few months, and in that time I've already read nearly every past article there is, and to date, I haven't come across an article I didn't like. But if the Editor is getting tired of writing every week (which I fully understand), letters are just not the way to go. I recently attended the MSSW2, and when we hopped over the Ditch of Stupidity and everyone suddenly spread out, my jaw literally dropped at seeing the massive number of Tip ItÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ers who has shown up. Of all those people, and the many more who couldn't make it, I'm sure there's enough creative ideas to keep the Times running on a weekly basis and still give the Editor a break. I think a lot of people read the Times every week and never think "Hey, I could do that!" I know I didn't until just two weeks ago. If you were to announce more openly that anyone is welcome to submit an article, I'm sure Tip ItÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ers would step up to the challenge and keep the Times running nearly weekly. I know I plan to do my part as soon as I get through the three or four essays and other large pieces of homework I have due right now. If it comes to it, I'm sure I could supply you with a good quality article every month.
  6. I'll come for sure (a bit late, I know, lol). Do I have to make my own armor though? Might take me a bit to get there if I do.
  7. Great article, Mr. Editator, fully worth the wait! But I found one flaw in the post-article "Did you know...": You're missing an "n" in "quantities" ;) Don't worry, I won't tell anyone that whoever writes that piece (for I'm sure the great Editator would never misspell!) doesn't use spell check XD
  8. I found this article to be well written, even if I did disagree with the ideas (I'm more of a "defend my butt however I can" kind of guy). I didn't mind the "large words" I've seen many people complain about, and found the RS-Earth comparison quite enjoyable. IMO you don't have to agree with the views of an article to appreciate good writing, and I'm saddened to see all the people saying it's a bad piece of writing just because they don't agree with the "code of honor". sambo1660: "I suspect a lot of that was a little rambling in nature, but it might've been interesting to someone out there! Enjoy." *Is someone out there* XD
  9. Very interesting thread to read... While I'm curious as to who The Editor is, I'm just as happy reading his/her/their great articles without knowing
  10. HELLO TIP IT!!! I'm a long time Times reader, an even longer time calcs and guides user, and a first time poster. I could never be bothered to register (which turned out to be super easy :P) until I read this article. Couple things to say... First off, in the posts I read (which was over half) on this thread I saw a lot of people saying "Well I started out at X age and now am Y age and I still play!!!" To that I'd like to say what about the hundreds of people that started at the same age as you and aren't here to back you on that point? Of course there's going to be a few people who play for a long time, but The Editor's right in saying most younger players will leave early. Second, I very much enjoy the grafics we have. I tried playing WoW at a friend's house the other day and personally I thought the grafics were too much. All that time they could have spend bettering the game content... Then again, this is coming from someone who played RSC for 3-4 months after RS2 came out :P And so, in closing, I'll add a big THANK YOU to The Editor for all the great articles. Keep up the good work! I look forward to reeding the next one
