  1. Oh my god. Man Baron Soosdon is the [bleep]ing man. This is the best WoW machinima I've ever seen I think. It's 30 minutes long, worth all of it. I'd recommend downloading it for sure.
  2. ouch, harsh. :) I've heard that the live servers still aren't up, which is pretty funny.

The problem I have is all of the moves are performed with something like B, F+B, Back+B, U+B, D+B. I tried looking for some actual moves to use (like every other fighting game there is) and can't find any. It's just really simple to do. Here are some more videos to kind of show a lot of the strategy behind Street Fighter. The advanced is a good one to watch. It shows Instant Overheads, Reversals, Piano Inupts, Button Up Reversals (Negative Edge) and Safe Jumps. These all relate to SSF2T but SF4 pretty much has all of these and a bit more (because it has the addition of focus attacks and an EX meter)
  4. How bad is the recoil? Does it damage you at all? The only recoil is when you are in the air. When you're on ground it's fine. The "rocket jump" is a decent height.

It is pretty gimmicky. Unlike the 360/PS3 laptop I just don't see why someone would want to play a Wii on a small screen, considering it being such a party oriented system. Still cool though, was it made by the same guy who did the 360 laptop?
  6. I'm sure GIMP has some open source way of animation. You can do it in Illustrator as well, but that is with photoshop and either costs money or needs to be pirated.

    Haha odd.

I don't think you can get a fair representation of a game by playing it in the arcade for a little bit. Also look up above your post. I actually had a lot of fun with the recent one for the 360 with my younger brother. It's not exactly tournament ready (a lot of Random stuff goes on) but it still is pretty fun. And trying to juggle back and forth a beam between each other is fun. :D

Arguing is stupid because you've never played SF4 and I've never played Brawl ray (Although I have played melee a lot and I never saw much in it). edit: Alright, I decided to look these things you mentioned up. Super armor frame: Knockback Resistance. Pretty much just means if you do X move you'll have Y amount of knockback resistance. Invincibility Frame: "are the period of time (measured in frames) during which a character cannot be damaged. Depending on which kind of invincibility the character has, the attack may "hit" or "miss". " So it's just a move that during a certain part you can't get hit. Lets look at it. Now, the knockback resist Street Fighter IV doesn't really have because it doesn't have knockbacks. However you can get out of a knockdown quicker with skill (either by using a grab just as you hit the ground or hitting D as you hit the ground). Invincibility Frame's Street Fighter does have, and a bit more advanced then what it seems like brawl has. Certain moves not only have priority over others (A Shudoken will have higher priority over a lot of moves) and certain moves do grant invincibility. For example, a lot of EX moves will allow you one hit without interrupting the attack. Other moves, such as Akuma's Raging Demon's (Ultra) move will ignore an attack if used at the correct frame while if used too early or late will get interrupted. Street Fighter IV Also has EX Cancels, Focus Attacks, Super Cancels, Cross Up's, Armor Breaking and Counter Throwing.

Already told you I'm not arguing this nonsense Ray. You still have no idea what you're talking about. jeMi0uun9LU Here is an example of a combo. (well 6 of them). So, for example, this is what you would do for the first. Crouch MK, QCF+P, MP+MK (cancel with dash [Forward Forward]) into HP, QCB+HP. Keep in mind this requires crazy fast timing, as for canceling moves into each other requires you to use the next move while the others animation is still continuing. Soul Caliber is pretty easy to button mash. I did really like Soul Caliber 2 on the dreamcast though, was a fun game.

Yeah. I believe the first thing you can do is kind of a tutorial that places you within a certain skill level so it can recommend you servers.
  12. Jaerk's build is a really good one. Very solid PC. You can then get a monitor for around $200 (a 22") on newegg.

Hopefully we can get some matches tomorrow. Good thing is QuakeLive has a really nice friends system. :)
  14. The Force-A-Nature is [bleep]ing fun as hell to use. Knocking back people = hilarity. It does good damage too and reloads fast.
  15. Oh[cabbage], update is officially out.
  16. That's exactly the point riku. If I want to play CoD4 I would play CoD4.
  17. Not to really dampen the mood but I doubt IW will even do a Wii version. Too much of a hassle adapting it to old hardware.
  18. Something different. However I don't really expect IW to just do a cash grab like Treyarch did with the mess that is called CoD:5.
  19. If you know it isn't IDE compatible then get a SATA hard drive... Unless I'm completely misunderstanding you here.

http://www.quakelive.com/#home What is Quake Live? Quake Live is a free to play browser FPS which is supported through advertisements. I have been in the closed beta for a while and today they have opened their doors to anyone who is willing to play (Open beta I think, but anyone can join in). Quake Live is pretty much an exact version of Quake III modified to be played in the browser. All it takes is for you to install a small plugin (think runescape how you had to download something the 1st time) and then you are good to go. (The plugin is a .MSI so Linux/Mac users will need to run it through WINE) My time in the Closed beta was a lot of fun but, of course, I suck at Quake III and as such I got my [wagon] handed to me haha. I think we have the ability to create servers though, so I'm sure a bunch of TIF people could get together and play. I do have to say that QuakeLive is awesome for playing in between flight paths / waits in an MMO, or for the runescape players out there playing it in another browser while you mine or do whatever runescape players do. Only problem is that the servers are overloaded as hell right now, with a 33,000+ Queue (thought WoW was bad?) so I would wait for the hype to get down haha. Go ahead and post your user names and such, maybe I'll try and just keep a list up to date here. QuakeLive TIF users: (TIF name in parentheses) Nadril ultimania92 Hagel (Azvareth) aquariusman Arkheart (Lionheart) VespineFlyer (Stevepole) InkofDeath (Skatedog) Jaziek Lilspanyol
  21. That has 6 frames, how is that even remotely tedious?
  22. I heard on WoWInsider (i'm sure you heard the rumor too) of Beserking Stance is going to give a 10% damage bonus. If it does then I'm not really worried.
  23. I don't think they're quite done with all the changes yet kem. I noticed the -10% too and kind of sighed, but then again warriors only have like 3 changes (undocumented and documented) so far. I wouldn't be surprised if they work on compensating it some other way. It is difficult to balance fury in PvE though because of how freakishly well they scale with gear. Hopefully it just won't effect PvP fury warriors too negatively (because I'm leveling one right now).

MvC2 is so much better than the first Das, you really do need to get it. I used to have it for the dreamcast until it got stolen. Lucky enough though the DC is easy as hell to pirate games, so I burned a new copy of it. :) Game has so many characters. @Fax: I've never played Marvel vs SF. I should check it out.

There are a ton of differences between fighting games, even just between 2D games. Man Ray will just not give up though. Anyways my favorite fighting game is either Marvel vs Capcom 2 or Street Fighter IV. It's hard to decide, I haven't played SF4 enough yet really. MvC2 was a [bleep]ing brilliant game though. However I do dare someone to find people who Take their [cabbage] as seriously as Street Fighter. Top players count the number of frames each attack takes
