When I was new I got the same treatment. Except it was worse. OT: no one can do drop trades anymore how long ago was this? Last week at like 11:30 PM you couldn't trade more than 3k, but the next day that was removed :o

Just use the barbarian outpost agility course (and if you haven't already done it, the "one small favour" quest gives 20k xp to a skill over 30 :) )
