  1. I read that, nothing there suggests that the servers are being DDOSed. Sounds more like player speculation and a bad ISP. this could be taken as a DDOS attack, but again it's really unlikely. For want of a better term, jagex will be using "industrial strength" internet and I'd be very surprised if the routers didn't have sufficient protection against stuff like this.
  2. proof they're being ddosed?
  3. I have killed so many metal dragons for slayer and only got one measly plateskirt a few years back. congrats on the drops

  5. jagex is seeking damages from their isp because of the offline worlds lol
  6. Yet another weapon that is only useful for the special attack
  7. I don't get it - they're still leaving smite completely useless, and they haven't really solved one iteming where it matters, in multi combat. We'll see

probably these back-end upgrades and stuff
  9. I read your locked post; firstly if you haven't been on the game for a few years read the KB article about the GE which might explain some of the mechanics behind it and how the prices change - http://www.runescape.com/kbase/viewarti ... cle_id=559 or the wikia article http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Grand_exchange I still don't completely understand how it works but I'll try and explain a bit nowadays, large groups of people invest most of their money buying all of X item (let's say dragon longswords) - so they all put in offers for dragon longswords to "buy out" all of the "sell" offers in the exchange that are people selling dragon longswords. Thus dragon longswords become difficult to buy on the grand exchange because they have all been bought off. So demand increases, and therefore price increases - although I'm not sure by what exact factors the price index program works - the trade price will increase until the groups that bought out said item decide to sell them once the price has raised for a good profit. Using this example to go on, if you wanted to single-handedly adjust the price of an item you would have to have a lot of cash to buy out all the offers in the exchange to increase the demand and prices. But for some items; like the aforementioned dragon longsword, it can still be bought in a store and therefore wouldn't rise too high. i'm not sure about trying to drop the price of something, you'd have to flood the market with a lot of the item yep, well obviously it depends on the item, there are more fire runes than whips in the game (presumably) if you hang around the exchange area a lot, you'll see people advertise things such as "join XX chat fast mills " etc. These are groups all doing the same thing, trying to raise the price of items for profit by buying them out. There are lots of these groups, but the general community consensus is that they don't provide you with fast cash and uber profit contrary to what they advertise. you will most likely lose money with a group like this. Generally, the more successful exchange groups are small clans of friends with lots of money, or even solo merchants with lots of money. Hope this helps, I don't know the exact specifics of how the exchange price index machine works, so it would be worth reading those links.
  10. 78-99 must have been pretty expensive grats anyway
  11. i don't really like the bank - all the 100/50 items look like you've just bought them to make the bank look pretty but serve no real purpose. also just a general thing, i don't get why people waste so much space keeping (1) and (2) versions of pots when they can be combined so easily now. anyway some good overall value just watch out for that ags it really could plummet
  12. treasure trail tabs ftw
  13. oh man it took me like 4 years for 1700 total
  14. Well the old dance emote is unquestionably better than the current one
  15. Yes, I'm prety sure it does, thats why they lock accounts when people die. that's complete bs, they don't lock accounts when people die. they have no way of knowing for certain if the player has passed away do they? I know of several accounts that confirm this, and The old nite's is one of them by the looks of it If I remember correctly, they DID lock the Fat Wrecked's account. "Fat Wrecked does not feature in the hiscores. You have to be in the top 2 million in a category and reach a skill level of 30 or the minigame's minimum score. " pretty sure his account was locked for a legacy punishment, his father is writing to jagex by mail to have his hiscores restored. But that's just an exceptional case. As I said, jagex will have no proof that any player has passed on and therefore do not lock accounts based on that.

  19. That's for jagex to decide really; it probably does constitute account sharing but if it's the same IP then it's not solid evidence and I doubt they'll take action.
  20. He has a sister (Flubber12) who, I've heard, goes onto his account. Could be. but why would she go on just for around 20k experience, even though on HER account she has logged in since summoning? This is very strange, I know The Old Nite is legitimately dead, but it's just a mystery that the account has been logged in.. Edit: Didn't The Old Nite have one/two sons, where one of them announced his death officially? I have nothing to unspam sadly, so I apologise for being off topic. Yes, I'm pretty sure he has one son. Either way it would explain why there is xp gained on his account at least once a year (around 10k xp appeared when summoning came out)
